Ethan Stein,
incredibleAnother incredible entry to the unbound series。 I thoroughly enjoyed it and wasn’t even bothered too much by its length。 Sure i was compelled to skim some of the detail。 But really it was nonstop action and development。 Can’t wait for the next one。
Steve Naylor,
Rating 4。0 stars This series has finally found its rhythm。 Early on there was way too much fighting with insane odds。 Things have settled down a little。 Felix is powerful enough now that there are some fights that are easier for him and some that are harder。 There is more of a balance。 The characters are well written, and the magic system is impressive。 There are also some surprises thrown in at the end。 Overall, I am enjoying the series more now than before。
M C,
Maybe the best in the series yetUnlike contemporaries, the characterization in this series is excellent。 This book is strong and somehow ratchets up the stakes while still resolving some plot points。I heartily recommend this series。 It's become a favorite second only to the Dungeon Lord series by Hugo Huesca。。。 Which doesn't seem active any longer so I guess that makes this my favorite series or tied for the top spot。 Maybe the best in the series yetUnlike contemporaries, the characterization in this series is excellent。 This book is strong and somehow ratchets up the stakes while still resolving some plot points。I heartily recommend this series。 It's become a favorite second only to the Dungeon Lord series by Hugo Huesca。。。 Which doesn't seem active any longer so I guess that makes this my favorite series or tied for the top spot。 。。。more
Hannah,
action packedYou know those books you read that has a big fight tag the 50% mark and one near the end …。 THIS IS NOT IT, adventure from start to the end something is always brewing I am surprised that at book 8 this has not dropped pace… good work
Richard Lasley,
Loved it!This series has been excellent from the jump, and I find that truly rare。 I love to read to the exclusion of much else。 Felix and his friends are, without a doubt, astounding and so much more。 I love seeing them all evolve into these powerhouses。 The beautiful part is that they didn't start there, and for most of the group, it didn't look like they were ever going to rise to the heights that Felix has risen。 In all honesty, they're still not really there, but that's the fun of it all。I Loved it!This series has been excellent from the jump, and I find that truly rare。 I love to read to the exclusion of much else。 Felix and his friends are, without a doubt, astounding and so much more。 I love seeing them all evolve into these powerhouses。 The beautiful part is that they didn't start there, and for most of the group, it didn't look like they were ever going to rise to the heights that Felix has risen。 In all honesty, they're still not really there, but that's the fun of it all。I hate that the next book is so far away, but I suppose that's to be expected。 。。。more
John B,

John,
Another great book This is a great addition to the series。 This book pushes the plot along nicely。 Already looking forward to the next one!
Patrick Lacher,
Awesome!!The Journey continues in full!! Felix Navaar has done it again!! He continues to do the impossible and make his way to godhood!! Can’t wait to see what he does next!
Laina,
HOLY SMOKES!Talk about a plot twist! I never saw it coming and that made it so much better! Another great book in the series,I’m practically shaking after that ending。 Can’t wait for the next one because it only gets better and better!!!
Trent Hilderbrand,
Outstanding sequelI am impatient for more。 This writer has only improved as the story continues as he fine tunes what is disclosed while keeping the action flowing。 The length is great as well and I am attached to the characters。
Steve,
I didn't think that a nearly 1k-page 8th book in a series would be able to hold my attention, yet it did。 This is a huge story, with many moving parts and at least two worlds involved。 The level of Felix's enemies has risen nearly past his ability to prevail against the massive forces involved, and this keeps his rapid advancement from moving into OP territory。 He has the basis of being able to fight the gods toe-to-toe, and either he achieves that or this story ends, so I guess I know where thi I didn't think that a nearly 1k-page 8th book in a series would be able to hold my attention, yet it did。 This is a huge story, with many moving parts and at least two worlds involved。 The level of Felix's enemies has risen nearly past his ability to prevail against the massive forces involved, and this keeps his rapid advancement from moving into OP territory。 He has the basis of being able to fight the gods toe-to-toe, and either he achieves that or this story ends, so I guess I know where this is going。 Seeing it get there continues to be fun, so hopefully book 9 keeps the momentum of this one。 。。。more
Tony Hinde,
For a book that is 90% action, it's still losing my interest。 The core of the story, which started with one man, has expanded in every direction。 More team members, more problems, more dependants。。。 but this approach seems to be watering down the story's heart。I liked the ending as it precludes a simple resolution。。。 Felix can no longer just get so strong as to kill all his enemies。 Even so, I'm not sure I'll be continuing with this series。 For a book that is 90% action, it's still losing my interest。 The core of the story, which started with one man, has expanded in every direction。 More team members, more problems, more dependants。。。 but this approach seems to be watering down the story's heart。I liked the ending as it precludes a simple resolution。。。 Felix can no longer just get so strong as to kill all his enemies。 Even so, I'm not sure I'll be continuing with this series。 。。。more

Sean,
phenomenal addition to the seriesAfter moving through growth patterns the last two books, our hero faces unexpected changes and challenges。 The final push to the climax of the book brings the house down in a way Bron would be proud of。
Jonathan Richardson,
Excellent book。 If you have enjoyed the series so far you will not be disappointed。 Cant wait for the next book。
George Rokkos,
I can describe how much I love this series!! Every page in this book was full of amazing characters and magic。 I love this series so much and I’m so happy I started reading this amazing book! One of my favorite books of the year。 My favorite thing about this series is how well developed and multifaceted the characters and how each character shines! I can not highly recommend this book enough!
Jonas Lowry,
Another great book!!
Tyrel Smith,
Very little happens in this padded book。 MC is saved by plot armour again, little powerups, and well very little of anything in this one but padding sidequests。
Logan Hartman,
Gets Better and BetterI love this story and all the characters。 I love how fast the author publishes the books。 I just love it。
Albert Pulido,
the best litrpgAmazing characters, world and system。 Along with writing skilfull enough to have the characters grow more interesting as they evolve, the world more intriguing as the story progresses and the system more involving as our MC gets stronger。Comparable to the best of Sanderson and Wight, I have no higher praise。 Go read it。
GaiusPrimus,
As usual, I think this story works better when l the scope is grandiose and epic。 The overall power of the main characters are just too great for there to be anything captivating about the day to day minutiae。I really enjoyed this one, and off you’ve been a fan of the series so far, so will you。
Kris Carroll,
Another great installment! This series has quickly risen to be one of my favorite within the genre。 I can’t wait to see where the author takes the protagonist next!
Shil Modi,
Best of the seriesAfter a good but flawed seventh book, this one is a refreshing change of pace。 A few plot points were set up in advance and pay off nicely, the fight scenes were engaging, and there were relatively few grammatical mistakes。 Eagerly looking forward to the next one。
Rex,
More I want moreSince I started this series I've been captivated。 Enjoying it more each book I read and that has not stopped。 So here I set wanting more。 Oh thank god Felix and Vess are finally getting it together。 You had me worried。 But okay all's right in the world now。 Just hurry up I want the next book now。 More I want moreSince I started this series I've been captivated。 Enjoying it more each book I read and that has not stopped。 So here I set wanting more。 Oh thank god Felix and Vess are finally getting it together。 You had me worried。 But okay all's right in the world now。 Just hurry up I want the next book now。 。。。more

Lamar Logan,
Alright, I liked this one quite a bit。As others have mentioned the books are starting to have a pattern。 This particular book could be Unbound: Side Quests。 At this point in a series it just makes me feel the author is padding things, doesn't want to finish, doesn't know how to finish or doesn't know where the story is going。(view spoiler)[Wow that gnome is an asshole。 And the enemy unbound being related was unnecessary。 Also good news that the relationship actually moves forward an inch。 (hide Alright, I liked this one quite a bit。As others have mentioned the books are starting to have a pattern。 This particular book could be Unbound: Side Quests。 At this point in a series it just makes me feel the author is padding things, doesn't want to finish, doesn't know how to finish or doesn't know where the story is going。(view spoiler)[Wow that gnome is an asshole。 And the enemy unbound being related was unnecessary。 Also good news that the relationship actually moves forward an inch。 (hide spoiler)]The author has an infuriating habit of offsetting chapters by half。 Where the last half of a chapter and the first half of the next chapter were actually one chapter。 Annoying AF。 I think this book improved over previous ones but I don't feel like going back to verify it until another volume comes out on audiobook。 。。。more
Andi Buchanan,
I called it。I knew that was who she was almost right away。 Great stuff always。 Van not wait to read the next one。
Josh Lawson,
The best one yetThe best in the series so far in my opinion。 I enjoyed the pacing, other character views and progression。 Best job! Can’t wait until the next one!
Mindy Moore,
Yes。 Hell yes。This is book 8。 If you've read up till now, you already know。 If you got hooked by a later blurb, go back to Dissonance。 If you are unsure if it's worth the commitment, it is。 Genius writing, full cast of characters that each have their own personality and voice, supporting our isekai hero's reluctant meteoric rise to power, while somehow also being a story about just a dude going on road trips with his friends。In a book of nearly a thousand pages, its expected that there would be Yes。 Hell yes。This is book 8。 If you've read up till now, you already know。 If you got hooked by a later blurb, go back to Dissonance。 If you are unsure if it's worth the commitment, it is。 Genius writing, full cast of characters that each have their own personality and voice, supporting our isekai hero's reluctant meteoric rise to power, while somehow also being a story about just a dude going on road trips with his friends。In a book of nearly a thousand pages, its expected that there would be some fluff, stuff that doesn't add to the story or the world。 There isn't。 Every word creates a rich world, with distinct cultures and art, without being exhausting。 We aren't innundated with repeated massive blocks of stats pages, there's one big stat recap at the beginning, and small one to two line updates throughout, with the occasional skill description when its pertinent。 This series is the pinnacle of gamelit fantasy。I do have a complaint tho。 It was too short! 。。。more
