This was a fun， quick read on my spooky season TBR。 It was very much an odd and quirky read with strangely lovable and flawed characters。 The spice was an interesting take that involved some hypnotism which was the first time I’d read about something like that so that was new。 Overall I enjoyed it！ The plot twist got me for sure！！

This book was the perfect read for Spooky month！ This followed Remi and her brother Jude as they move to Grimstone to fix up Blackleaf， their dead uncles house they inherited。 Remi soon meets Dane， the mysterious night doctor that has rumors swirling around him about his dead wife and child。 This book had so much spice and the perfect amount of mystery and the twist at the end really surprised me！ I didn’t see it coming。 This is my first Sophie Lark book and I cannot wait to read more！
