Susan May Warren did a great job developing them and their story。 They may be my favorite characters in the series (so far)。 The background on them was well set up and they were just so fun getting to know。 The story overall was wonderful, but there were SO MANY loose ends not finished in this book when it was supposed to finish out the series that I was a bit taken aback。 My fault for expecting an actual ending vs expecting more adventures from this series I suppose。 *I volunteered to read this via Justread book tours。 The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own。 。。。more

The finale to Susan May Warren's Minnesota Marshalls series, Creed, felt much more grounded in plot compared to the previous books in this series I reviewed。 While Ned and Iris had more incredible action film vibes, Creed has a more tv crime drama feel that I preferred。 Despite not being procedural-focused like some tv crime shows, the realistic focus on side plots focusing on wrapping up other family drama aspects really appealed to me。 Creed has been through a lot in the two decades of his lif The finale to Susan May Warren's Minnesota Marshalls series, Creed, felt much more grounded in plot compared to the previous books in this series I reviewed。 While Ned and Iris had more incredible action film vibes, Creed has a more tv crime drama feel that I preferred。 Despite not being procedural-focused like some tv crime shows, the realistic focus on side plots focusing on wrapping up other family drama aspects really appealed to me。 Creed has been through a lot in the two decades of his life and seeing him work through some of the trauma that affected his childhood and coming to terms with his past was rewarding。 Besides being the youngest Marshall, Creed's adoption seemed to give him a bit of "imposter syndrome" in that he sometime struggles to see himself as being worthy of the Marshall name and feeling inadequate compared to his overachieving, heroic siblings (I think Iris also struggled with a bit of this on a small scale)。 Meanwhile, his oldest brother Frasier grapples with his identity being so tied to his profession that he struggles to let go。 I thought Warren did an excellent job with the spiritual threads throughout this book, dealing with themes of forgiveness and identity in many ways through the different characters。 Trust in God, allowing Him to direct your path, following His will rather than our own is something that resonated personally as a reader。 Imani and Pippa were also strong female characters, I felt like they both had their moments to shine, especially Imani。Featuring many cameos from Susan May Warren's past series and Rachel Hauck's True Blue Royals duology, these guest appearances will satisfy longtime fans of the author and made me curious to read some of the books they appeared in。 The suspense thread is tied up almost completely, I suppose Warren may continue it future titles, but the series is brought to a very satisfactory end。 I think fans of the Marshalls and Susan May Warren will be pleased with this series ender![Disclosure: I received a copy of this book for review purposes via the publisher。] 。。。more

awesome as alwaysCreed and Imani are like two volatile volcanoes ready to erupt。 One minute you want to shake some sense into them and the next minute you want to hug them。 Same way for Fraser and Pippa。 The Marshall family is one of a kind。 I hope there is another story reunion about them involving weddings and family。 Loved this whole series。

Regardless, Creed by Susan May Warren is an exciting conclusion of sorts to what has been a really good series。 I say sort-of conclusion because Creed does not end。 There is clearly going to be a new series, and I feel confident in saying that the Minnesota Marshalls will show up again。 That’s actually pretty exciting news, and I will definitely try to binge the upcoming series as I did this one。 OK, so back to this book。 For me, Creed started off a little slowly。 It took a few chapters before I became really invested, but once I got there I was all in and could not put this book down。 I wonder if perhaps Warren wanted to slow down her time with these characters, too。 I get it。 Fraser, Jonas, Ned, Iris, and Creed have become very special characters to me。 And don’t get me started on all the awesome people we meet, or get to see again, along the way — Shae, Sibba, Hud, Imani, and Pippa just to name a few。 I really have to say, looking back on the series as a whole, the characters are my favorite。 I love the immense sense of family you get from these books, and really, Creed is all about family。 Growing up in an amazing family, supporting each other when scary issues arise, being there for one another, holding each other accountable and encouraging when necessary, and then being brave enough to start new branches in the family line。 I loved it all。 Yes, these Marshalls are tough and capable and strong-willed, but they are also so loving。 Not going to lie, I wish they were real people and I wish I could actually know them。 As far as the plot of this story goes, I did enjoy how Warren wraps things up for this series。 I wasn’t sure there could be a happily ever after for Imani and Creed。 And the passion and chemistry between Fraser and Pippa is AMAZING。 I loved their storyline the best。This review really doesn’t do this book justice。 I feel so overwhelmed after five excellent stories to adequately express how I feel coming to the end of this series。 Suffice to say, if you are a fan of superb Romantic Suspense, then pick up yourself a copy of Creed (and Fraser, Jonas, Ned, and Iris) ASAP! This book picks up right where the last one left off, and it was gratifying to see the Marshalls and friends able to connect the dots between all the crazy events that have happened and get to the bottom of the mystery。 It was frustrating when there were setbacks, and Imani always running off and not communicating got on my nerves。 It was nice to see her come to terms with her new role that she had been struggling to find her place in。 I also loved that Creed had growth as well in his self-worth This book picks up right where the last one left off, and it was gratifying to see the Marshalls and friends able to connect the dots between all the crazy events that have happened and get to the bottom of the mystery。 It was frustrating when there were setbacks, and Imani always running off and not communicating got on my nerves。 It was nice to see her come to terms with her new role that she had been struggling to find her place in。 I also loved that Creed had growth as well in his self-worth and identity as a Marshall, and what that means for him both with his family and spiritually。 I always appreciate the message of faith and connection with the Lord that the characters find strength and peace in。Disclosure statement: A complimentary copy of this book was provided。 A review was not required and all views and opinions expressed are unbiased and my own。 。。。more

#BookReview: CREED by Susan May WarrenI was excited to read Creed's story because I love the Marshalls' family bond。 It was a great end to the series and to this branch of the Marshall clan。 In the first book, Creed saved Princess Imani of Lauchtenland。 A lot has happened to Creed since then, and now this book focuses on him。 I enjoyed the twists and turns since Fraser’s story and how everything connected。 The Marshall siblings always seemed to be there when trouble struck。 I love how loyal they #BookReview: CREED by Susan May WarrenI was excited to read Creed's story because I love the Marshalls' family bond。 It was a great end to the series and to this branch of the Marshall clan。 In the first book, Creed saved Princess Imani of Lauchtenland。 A lot has happened to Creed since then, and now this book focuses on him。 I enjoyed the twists and turns since Fraser’s story and how everything connected。 The Marshall siblings always seemed to be there when trouble struck。 I love how loyal they are, smart and brave。 I am glad things worked out for everyone。 I hope to see Creed in another book since it seems that there’s more coming for him and Imani。 I appreciate the themes of faith, trust in the Lord, forgiveness, grace, and peace。 I love it when Jenny and Garrett shower their children with wisdom and guidance。 The way the Marshall siblings talk to each other is fun and meaningful。 This is a great series and I highly recommend it。 Rating: 4 starsSeries: The Minnesota Marshalls Book 5 The Marshall Family Saga Book 13Pub date: 10 Oct 2023Thank you SDG Publishing for the complimentary copy。 All opinions expressed are my own。 。。。more
