Hush， Hush was my favourite novel so far in the Detective Harriet Blue series。 Now that Reagan Banks is dead， the authors were able to steer Harriet in a different direction which I thoroughly enjoyed and I thought the secondary characters played better roles than they have in previous books。 I adore Pops！ It was also lovely seeing poor Tox with a love interest at last。 I hope it develops in the future。I seriously like Harriet and she often had me smiling in this novel。 She has grit， courage， pe Hush， Hush was my favourite novel so far in the Detective Harriet Blue series。 Now that Reagan Banks is dead， the authors were able to steer Harriet in a different direction which I thoroughly enjoyed and I thought the secondary characters played better roles than they have in previous books。 I adore Pops！ It was also lovely seeing poor Tox with a love interest at last。 I hope it develops in the future。I seriously like Harriet and she often had me smiling in this novel。 She has grit， courage， persistence and compassion。 She will happily bend the rules to breaking point （and sometimes beyond） to get 'her man;。 She is also loyal to a fault to those she cares about。 I liked seeing Harriet solve a missing person's case as it was different for her usual sex crimes but just as compelling。As usual the pace was non-stop and the twist and turns were continual making Hush， Hush a quick， exciting read。 I'm not sure where the authors are going with this series now， but I hope they continue writing novels which star Detective Harriet Blue; she is one of a kind。 。。。more

Great Book。This was just as good as 1， 2， and 3。 I really enjoyed it。 The storyline was very good。 The characters were entertaining。 I recommend it for everyone。 Joping there is a Book 5。

James Patterson’s Kiss The Girls was the book that got me into thrillers years ago。 I still read a few of his books every year。 I liked the female main character， Harry， and would read more in this Candace Fox series just to get to know her better。 There are still parts of this book that are outrageous and wound never happen in real life but that’s what books are about - escaping real life :）4/5

"Hush" by James Patterson and Candice Fox was an interesting read for me。 Unfortunately， I feel I may have to go back and read some of the prequels to this novel so I can understand the dynamics of Detective Harriet Blue's life。I felt， that despite being let out of prison to find the commissioner's daughter and grandchild， I didn't have enough background on Harriet to know why she was the only one who could accomplish this task。 Also， Harriet actually spent more time trying to solve a crime that "Hush" by James Patterson and Candice Fox was an interesting read for me。 Unfortunately， I feel I may have to go back and read some of the prequels to this novel so I can understand the dynamics of Detective Harriet Blue's life。I felt， that despite being let out of prison to find the commissioner's daughter and grandchild， I didn't have enough background on Harriet to know why she was the only one who could accomplish this task。 Also， Harriet actually spent more time trying to solve a crime that had happened in the prison than she did working on the commissioner's case。 Her partners， Tox and Whitt， did more to solve that crime。It will be interesting to see where the authors take this series， although， I might just have to order the prequels to fully understand the Harriet Blue dynamics！ Well worth the read， though。 。。。more

I have been reading so many books I have lost track of which characters belong to which series so I was kind of surprised when I opened this one that and found Harriet Blue。 Then I got more excited about reading it :） I guess that's what happens when we're in a pandemic and I am reading most anything that I can find that is available in e-book form from my library。I'm not sure how I feel about all the characters - this is the fourth book I think and I have issues with some of their behaviors - a I have been reading so many books I have lost track of which characters belong to which series so I was kind of surprised when I opened this one that and found Harriet Blue。 Then I got more excited about reading it :） I guess that's what happens when we're in a pandemic and I am reading most anything that I can find that is available in e-book form from my library。I'm not sure how I feel about all the characters - this is the fourth book I think and I have issues with some of their behaviors - and then I tell myself it's a book， it's make-believe， I don't have to get hung up about my issues。 There are other books that I read and sometimes enjoy that have far worse things that bother me。 That said it was a mix of different plots but that happens in a lot of policing novels because police don't just usually do one case at a time。 I'll have to try to remember to watch for the next in the series。 。。。more
