Pretty funny。 Not particularly reveletory。 I didn't actually finish it (got about 75% through) since my library loan was up, and I don't know that I'll go back to it。 Pretty funny。 Not particularly reveletory。 I didn't actually finish it (got about 75% through) since my library loan was up, and I don't know that I'll go back to it。 。。。more

Seth got high and wrote a book。 His stories are very on-brand; being zany, candid, Vancouver-nostalgic, and a certain train-wreck/awkwardness that makes him so endearing。 But he was high。 On drugs。 At times there is no sense of timeline, purpose, or finality to these stories。 It was a fun trip without being too deep。

I’ve been on an audiobook memoir kick recently, and most of them have been quite emotional and sad, so this was a delightful change of pace。 Seth is the primary narrator, but there’s a whole cast of other voices and sound effects added, which really brings his stories to life。 It was also really funny, and I laughed out loud several times。

Liz

Listened to the audible narrated by Seth himself if you like his movies it gives more background。 Found myself laughing through it only complaint is it was to short I wanted more。

Tiffani

the way he speaks about things that are considered “controversial” continually helps destigmatize important conversations

Michaela Hascall

I’ve never laughed so much while reading

Brett Boyer

Avg score because Seth’s life stories were funny but nothing special。 I wanted the writing to be better since I think he does great with his movies and stand ups。 But the book was original in its writing concepts and was nothing that stood out。 Quick easy read that doesn’t involve lots of thinking which is why I read it when I did because I have some heavy thinking books in the reading plan for myself。 It did the job but avg。 happy reading folks

Pretty HilariousSeth tells some great stories and anecdotes that amuse to no end…well worth a read just for the fun of it。

At points, I struggled to continue reading the book because it is disorganized, and can be distracting because the writing is so distinctly in Rogen’s voice。 BUT I laughed out loud many times while reading, and very much enjoyed the look behind the curtain at the crazy shit that happens in Hollywood。 If half stars were possible I’d probably give this a 2。5, but ultimately the book endeared me to Rogen and thus a 3 is born。

oli mielenkiintoinen ja hauska, nauroin jopa ääneen! pieni katsaus myös hollywoodin saloihin, suosittelen erityisesti kaikille jotka kuuntelee tuplakääkkiä

I don’t have any particular feelings about Seth Rogen。 Some of his movies are funny while others are a bit immature for my taste, so I didn’t know what to expect from this book。 I love celebrity memoirs though, especially when read by the author, so I gave this a shot。 The stories are interesting and cover a variety of topics, from his childhood to movies he’s made to his Jewish heritage。 Most of the stories don’t have an overarching point or lesson guiding them like many other collection of per I don’t have any particular feelings about Seth Rogen。 Some of his movies are funny while others are a bit immature for my taste, so I didn’t know what to expect from this book。 I love celebrity memoirs though, especially when read by the author, so I gave this a shot。 The stories are interesting and cover a variety of topics, from his childhood to movies he’s made to his Jewish heritage。 Most of the stories don’t have an overarching point or lesson guiding them like many other collection of personal essays, but they are enjoyable to read。 There’s nothing groundbreaking or significant about these stories, but it’s a quick, light read。 。。。more

Listening to the audiobook is a MUST。 LOL’d several times。

If you are considering this, then you know enough about Seth Rogen to know what to expect。 There will be a LOT of swearing and a LOT of talk about drugs。 If that bothers you, this book is not for you。 Past that, there are a lot of fun stories。 I enjoy audio bios read by the author。 It was performed well, and the length was good。 A few stories could have been a bit shorter, but overall an enjoyable fun listen。

Brian Kimball

PLEASE add this book to your list, it’s so funny and insightful and overall entertaining。 I did the audiobook version on Spotify and seeing as Seth has one of the best voices in Hollywood it was so enjoyable。 Loved 🫶🏻

This。 Was。 Hilarious。Comedy in written form is so different than comedy in spoken form。 Spoken form relies on how it's delivered。 Pauses in just the right places, inflections in the right spots, tone of voice, volume, speed。 Written it's just。。。words。 Up to the interpreter。I got to say, Rogen really delivered here。The humor really isn't any different than any movie Rogen has ever been in, so it's likely that if you don't like him as an actor you likely won't like his book。I'm mostly so-so on his This。 Was。 Hilarious。Comedy in written form is so different than comedy in spoken form。 Spoken form relies on how it's delivered。 Pauses in just the right places, inflections in the right spots, tone of voice, volume, speed。 Written it's just。。。words。 Up to the interpreter。I got to say, Rogen really delivered here。The humor really isn't any different than any movie Rogen has ever been in, so it's likely that if you don't like him as an actor you likely won't like his book。I'm mostly so-so on his movies。 He's essentially the same character in everything he plays and as it turns out。。。。he's just himself in everything he plays!! He talks of the events of his life, but unlike most of the other memoirs I have consumed, he either makes them funny or only touches on the funny scenarios。I read the mushroom story twice。 So funny。 Anyways, this struck the mood I was in perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed it from cover to cover。 。。。more
