Gah！ Super cute hockey players/friends-to-lovers romance。 This one is about Charli and Neil。 They are both hockey players。 Neil is more successful and famous whereas Charli is a struggling athlete。 She has to work extra hard and still living in a dumpy apartment。 What started as a fun Vegas trip turn complicated when Charli and Neil woke up hung over and accidently married What happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas， right？ Well， that does not work with these two。 Neil came from a super-rich family Gah！ Super cute hockey players/friends-to-lovers romance。 This one is about Charli and Neil。 They are both hockey players。 Neil is more successful and famous whereas Charli is a struggling athlete。 She has to work extra hard and still living in a dumpy apartment。 What started as a fun Vegas trip turn complicated when Charli and Neil woke up hung over and accidently married What happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas， right？ Well， that does not work with these two。 Neil came from a super-rich family， heir to billions of dollars empire。 Everyone is having a field day when they found out Neil was drunk married and without a pre-nup。 When Neil found out there is actually a benefit to his matrimony he proposed to Charli that they should stay married。 I really like Charli and Neil – they could not be more different。 Charli did not come from much but she is real， honest， and hard working。 She is super feisty - almost with a chip on her shoulder but deep down she is sweet and caring。 Neil came from privilege and money。 He is also successful in his own right but Neil is humble， genuine， and a sweet heart。 Super swoony hero。 They are true definition of opposite attract。 I really enjoy the plot， the slow burn， and all the shenanigans they got themselves into。 Overall， this story was fun， charming， a feel-good story。 。。。more

I just finished listening to this audiobook and I have a goofy grin on my face。 From the first chapter I loved Neil and Charlie。 I have read a few books where they wake up married after a drunk night in Vegas， but few are this fun and heartwarming。 Charlie is a fiercely independent hockey heroine。 She hides behind such thick walls to protect herself。 Neil is a teddy bear， he's a gooey cinnamon roll and his obvious desire and affection for Charlie is everything！ I loved how open he is with his fe I just finished listening to this audiobook and I have a goofy grin on my face。 From the first chapter I loved Neil and Charlie。 I have read a few books where they wake up married after a drunk night in Vegas， but few are this fun and heartwarming。 Charlie is a fiercely independent hockey heroine。 She hides behind such thick walls to protect herself。 Neil is a teddy bear， he's a gooey cinnamon roll and his obvious desire and affection for Charlie is everything！ I loved how open he is with his feelings and how he fights for her。 This book is not without angst and emotion， I almost had tears towards the end （it takes a lot to make me cry）。 But between the limo scene， the board room， the hockey rink there are so many amazing moments in this book。 I loved that Sarina Bowen avoided what could have been predictable twists and gave us a story filled with love。 Charlie and Neil gave me butterflies and smiles and warm fuzzy feelings and I love this Bruiser and Bombshell duo！ I received an ALC of this book and voluntarily give my review。 。。。more

"Mark me。" His voice is a dare。 "You know you want to。" I really like the fake relationship trope。 It's usually steamy and sweet， tense， with a lot of chemistry， and fun。 Shenanigans was all of that， plus a lot of emotion that really snuck up on me。 I've read a few books of Sarina's by now， and this was one of her best for me。 "But when you break through her defenses， there's nothing better than her smile or the sound of her quick laughter when a joke lands。"Charli caught me by surprise。 I usual "Mark me。" His voice is a dare。 "You know you want to。" I really like the fake relationship trope。 It's usually steamy and sweet， tense， with a lot of chemistry， and fun。 Shenanigans was all of that， plus a lot of emotion that really snuck up on me。 I've read a few books of Sarina's by now， and this was one of her best for me。 "But when you break through her defenses， there's nothing better than her smile or the sound of her quick laughter when a joke lands。"Charli caught me by surprise。 I usually find it hard to connect to the heroines， but not this one。 She's strong， opinionated， and stubborn。 She doesn't take things lying down。 She gets up in the morning to face the world， knowing the world has been failing her for a while。 So， forgive her if she's a bit too hard on herself。 And mostly， forgive her for being distrustful。 It comes with the territory。 "Nothing matters， except his kisses and the throbbing pace he sets as he begins to move inside me。"Weirdly enough， I had a harder time with Neil。 He's sweet and fun， but there's a communication issue between his brain and his mouth。 All the time。 He's obviously into Charli since the last book （we get a glimpse of them in Bombshells） but he just says all the wrong things。 It’s infuriating！ However， he does make up for it in actions， so that worked for me。 "Did you just compare sex with me to a dehydrated potato snack？" "Maybe I did。 You're both kind of cute and a bad idea。" Charli and Neil are both professional hockey players。 There's an award ceremony in Vegas， there's a lot of drinking involved， and they end up getting married。 Their connection is there from the get-go， as well as intense chemistry and so much want， but none of them gives in to it。 And， anyway， they need to get divorced， right？ This should be easy enough， but there’s a lot more going on， and， oh yeah， that’s right – those pesky feelings！ "Nothing about you is easy。 Not one thing。 But I like it that way。" When they start getting to know each other， this becomes a friends-to-lovers story， and I absolutely loved that。 There's all the sexual innuendo from Neil because he's a goofball， even though we know it's not all fun and games for him。 The small details that show you Charli is getting to trust him， that she's giving in to him， the way they understand each other。。。 it’s all very heartwarming。 And the steamy scenes。。。 let's just say that Sarina never disappoints。 "You're it for me， kitten。 If I could go back in time and do it over （。。。） I'd go slowly。 （。。。） – so you'd see that I'm the guy who'll always be in your corner。" The moment when Neil changed for me was the balcony scene。 Yes， you'll have to read it， I'm not spoiling it。 But it felt so special to me that I needed to mention it。 I know a lot of readers may not like it that you only truly understand Charli in the final chapters， but that was everything to me。 You know she has trust issues， but you don't know how deep or why。 We needed to know。 Neil needed to know。 And Charli needed to trust him as badly as he wanted her to。 "When you smile at me， it's all worth it。 Every fucking thing。" This is the story of two people who really work together – of the guy who is so much more than he seems， and the girl who needed to be loved。 It may not have started in the traditional （or the best！） way for either of them， but they've faced the bumps in the road。 It may not all be clear blue skies from here on out， but they have each other for that。 。。。more
