The sixth installment of the Elemental Mates series truly didn't dissapoint！ Throughout the novel， we follow the newest couple， Ivy and Maxim， as they traverse on Maxim's quest to thwart the rising threat towards his people。 First， the characters。 These two are my favorite couple of the series thus far， and it's all thanks to their heart-wrenching vulnerability that lends them a depth I find lacking in a lot of Romance novels today。 Their intimate connection， while possibly a little slow at firs The sixth installment of the Elemental Mates series truly didn't dissapoint！ Throughout the novel， we follow the newest couple， Ivy and Maxim， as they traverse on Maxim's quest to thwart the rising threat towards his people。 First， the characters。 These two are my favorite couple of the series thus far， and it's all thanks to their heart-wrenching vulnerability that lends them a depth I find lacking in a lot of Romance novels today。 Their intimate connection， while possibly a little slow at first， makes the banter and romance tender and steamy。 Tack on the addition of a fiesty tag-along character that tugs on your heart strings and tickles your funny bone， and you have the framework of a deeply emotional and emotionally fufulling story。 Next， the story。 A fast-paced tempo coupled with a strong focus on furthering the over-arching story plot points allows Terra to draw you straight into the action while still keeping a balanced eye on the romance between the couple in question。 I was invested the entire way through。The characters are deep， their romance is hot， and the story is gripping。 Definitely worth the read！ 。。。more

In this latest inclusion into the Elemental Mates series Terra has us finally see Maxim get his mate。 Since the events in Inferno Maxim and his crew have been tasked with tracking down the Master， a task which he is dedicated to， to the exclusion of all else - he doesn’t need or want a mate。 Readers will remember him from Book five Zephyr as the doctor aiding Daxis and the Earthblood faction leader。 Maxim’s personality has been unknown until now and the way in which his character is developed sh In this latest inclusion into the Elemental Mates series Terra has us finally see Maxim get his mate。 Since the events in Inferno Maxim and his crew have been tasked with tracking down the Master， a task which he is dedicated to， to the exclusion of all else - he doesn’t need or want a mate。 Readers will remember him from Book five Zephyr as the doctor aiding Daxis and the Earthblood faction leader。 Maxim’s personality has been unknown until now and the way in which his character is developed shows both his internal struggle and his deep and unbreakable loyalty to those he is responsible for。 His mate is a joy to read about with a sense of humour and self deprecation that kept me laughing till the very end。 I especially enjoyed her internal monologue and pep talks in regards to her feelings for Maxim - and his body。 While Terra is an enjoyable read， and can be read as a stand alone if necessary， this book should in my opinion be seen as a link between books five and six and advancement of the overarching story。 We finally learn the identity of the Master， things that have been unclear are now shed light on and the countdown to the final battle for the future of Koraxia has truly begun。 The only complaint I have is that the next book isn’t out yet！ I was lucky to be given an ARC copy and willingly give this review。 。。。more
