Amazing story!Such a good sequel, I really enjoyed the characters we meet in this book and the overall development of the characters。 Some of it was a little sad but nothing too bad。 Can’t wait for the next one!

Oh my goodness! This truly is an epic read! In every sense of the word! It picks up well from the previous book and sets you on a fabulous journey of intense drama。 Some of the characters stand out more than others, at least to me。 I found Rake evoked such sympathy in me, his unorthodox thinking, his abrupt manner, all behind a wall of pain。 When he reveals his secret, I sat back with a sigh。 Ash and Holt are my definte favourites, I loved how tangible their bond and link is, how they have an am Oh my goodness! Such mastery in the telling of this tale, such brilliant twists and though at times I did despair for our heroes, I was swept into a wonderous world of conflict, striff, epic battles, all tempered by love and rightcheosness。 A masterpiece! 。。。more

The first book in the Songs of Chaos series was one of the best fantasy novels I have read in some time。 And Mr。 Miller does not disappoint with the second installment, Unbound。 The descriptive style of his writing allows you to truly feel a part of their world。 The unparalleled nature of the danger, excitement, and power of the characters have no equal。 The series, in my opinion, will outshine The Inheritance Cycle by leaps and bounds (that's the Eragon books, which is what I originally compare The first book in the Songs of Chaos series was one of the best fantasy novels I have read in some time。 And Mr。 Miller does not disappoint with the second installment, Unbound。 The descriptive style of his writing allows you to truly feel a part of their world。 The unparalleled nature of the danger, excitement, and power of the characters have no equal。 The series, in my opinion, will outshine The Inheritance Cycle by leaps and bounds (that's the Eragon books, which is what I originally compared Ascendant to haha)。 I have been a reader of his books for some time, and will continue to impatiently await the next installment of this page turning series。 I cannot wait to continue following the character growth of Osric。 The future of Rake。 The adaptation of Talia and Pyra's continued journey。 And of course, who could or would dare to forget, just who Holt and Ash become, how far they can go, and how they can change the world。 。。。more

Wow book 2 and I just could not put the book down till it was all read。 I love Ash the blind dragon and his rider Holt Cook known as the sons of night, and I love the bond they have together which grows strong through all the ordeals they face together。 In this book they travel with Rake, Aberanth and Eidolan in search of Osric and Sovereign who were stealing dragon eggs and unleashing more evil through the scourge which sovereign was controlling and which was affecting all the realm。 On the oth Wow book 2 and I just could not put the book down till it was all read。 I love Ash the blind dragon and his rider Holt Cook known as the sons of night, and I love the bond they have together which grows strong through all the ordeals they face together。 In this book they travel with Rake, Aberanth and Eidolan in search of Osric and Sovereign who were stealing dragon eggs and unleashing more evil through the scourge which sovereign was controlling and which was affecting all the realm。 On the other hand Talia and Pyra known as the daughters of fire, were also facing the scourge but had other problems within Talia's own court。 She was crowned queen but she was also considered now to be an oath breaker because a dragon rider should never be anything but that, and many thought she should break the bond with Pyra but both would hear nothing of this。 Talia knew she would rather give up her crown than give up her bond but she intended keeping both。 Many also were pressuring her to marry and form an alliance with the skalds to strengthen their ties in order to fight those threatening them。 Those who were not connected to dragons thought that their main enemy where the neighbouring Kingdoms whilst the dragon riders knew that their main enemy was Sovereign and the scourge, and were adamant they would kill him this time round。 But this was easier said than done because Sovereign was crafty, very mighty and totally ruthless。 So can our group of rogue heroes take down their foe and save their world? I cannot wait for book 3 in this amazing tale of magic wielding, dragons and their riders, political intrigue and of course the scourge which was all pervasive! I really fell in love with the little black shadow dragon too。 This is a series which dragon lovers just have to read! 。。。more

I recieved an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review。。。I can safely say that Unbound is a wonderful addition to the series and one that I could not put down once I started reading。。。at the detriment to my own job, however, it was well worth it。On more than one occasion, I found myself audibly chuckling at certain scenes and conversations whilst getting goosebumps at others。 The story took the series in a direction I was in no way expecting and at times, left I recieved an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review。。。I can safely say that Unbound is a wonderful addition to the series and one that I could not put down once I started reading。。。at the detriment to my own job, however, it was well worth it。On more than one occasion, I found myself audibly chuckling at certain scenes and conversations whilst getting goosebumps at others。 The story took the series in a direction I was in no way expecting and at times, left me with such a feeling of nervousness at what was about to take place, that I felt like I was in the characters company! All in All, a wonderful read that only builds on the success of Book 1。 The ending left me feeling relieved and content, knowing that Miller managed to avoid the cliche paths that other authors usually go down, instead exploring and taking us on his own version of fan favourite tropes。 Finally! An author that took the story and the ending of the book in a way that I’ve always longed to read, yet never managed to experience until now。Happy and Content with the story, but still eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the series!A 10/10 must read for lovers of all things Fantasy, Dragons and Magic! 。。。more

Absolutely worth the wait! As experienced with Ascendant, this book demonstrated amazing imagery and character development。 Holy and Ash continue their journey of unification and growth while still holding true to themselves。。。 mostly。 Michael R。 Miller absolutely poured himself into this book and I can honestly say it is second to none compared to the 200+ other dragon fantasy books I've read this year。 I loved it and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a well written story。 Absolutely worth the wait! I was really looking forward to this book and certainly wasn't disappointed, it picks up where it left off in ascendant but this time we have multiple points of view from Holt/Ash, Talia/Pyra and also Osric/Sovereign。Michael continues to build this world and the character with fantastic precision, adding in new characters along the way whilst holding your attention from start to finish, I am already thirsty for the next book and I dread the wait, definitely recommend that you start this series i I was really looking forward to this book and certainly wasn't disappointed, it picks up where it left off in ascendant but this time we have multiple points of view from Holt/Ash, Talia/Pyra and also Osric/Sovereign。Michael continues to build this world and the character with fantastic precision, adding in new characters along the way whilst holding your attention from start to finish, I am already thirsty for the next book and I dread the wait, definitely recommend that you start this series if you haven't already, it is so well though out and protrayed, I also like the different way the bonds between dragon and rider are in these books compared to the hundred others I have read 。。。more
