Very good。 It is science fiction but has fantasy elements。 I came close to giving it 5 stars。 Sanderson creates characters that are so realistic。 I feel like I know them。

I think 4。5 is an accurate rating。 It took me awhile to get through this one - I listened to it off and on。 The first half was mostly world and character building， but it was an interesting development although a little slow at times。 The 2nd half was very enjoyable and the ending quite satisfying。 This is probably my favorite Sanderson book so far

Schon als ich “Skyward” das erste Mal gesehen habe， war es um mich geschehen。 Als meine Freundin erzählte， wie begeistert sie davon ist， gab es kein Halten mehr。Und mein Gott， wie bin ich froh， dass ich es gelesen habe。Ich bin einfach nur total von den Socken und total beeindruckt。Der Schreibstil des Autors ist nicht nur unglaublich fesselnd， mitreißend und bildhaft。Er ist vor allem sehr atmosphärisch， was mir hier einfach so herausragend gut gefallen hat。Erwähnen muss ich unbedingt die Illustra Schon als ich “Skyward” das erste Mal gesehen habe， war es um mich geschehen。 Als meine Freundin erzählte， wie begeistert sie davon ist， gab es kein Halten mehr。Und mein Gott， wie bin ich froh， dass ich es gelesen habe。Ich bin einfach nur total von den Socken und total beeindruckt。Der Schreibstil des Autors ist nicht nur unglaublich fesselnd， mitreißend und bildhaft。Er ist vor allem sehr atmosphärisch， was mir hier einfach so herausragend gut gefallen hat。Erwähnen muss ich unbedingt die Illustrationen， die das Ganze einfach zu so viel mehr machen。Dieses Setting。 Wow。 Es fällt mir wirklich schwer diese Eindrücke zu beschreiben。Es ist so faszinierend， so gewaltig und traumhaft zugleich。Ich liebe Storys ，die sich mit fremden Welten befassen und das hat der Autor einfach so unglaublich gut gemacht。Neben dem Setting haben mich vor allem die Charaktere sehr beeindruckt und emotional bewegt。Allen voran Spensa。 Ich hab dieses junge Mädchen sofort ins Herz geschlossen und sie einfach so sehr geliebt。Sie ist impulsiv， ehrgeizig， aber zugleich auch sehr sensibel und selbstbewusst。Ich mochte ihre Art unglaublich gern。 Besonders wenn man ihren schmerzlichen Hintergrund bedenkt， der sie geformt und gleichzeitig so viel stärker gemacht hat。Spensas größter Traum ist es Pilotin zu werden。 Diese Leidenschaft brennt tief in ihr und lässt sie nicht los。 Dieses Feuer in ihr， spürt man bei jeder ihrer Handlungen ，es wird durchbrochen von Zweifeln， Angst und dem Willen ihren Traum zu verwirklichen。Ihr Vater ist als Verräter gebrandmarkt， was Spensa so ziemlich alles erschwert。 Aber sie kämpft bis zum letzten Atemzug und das sagt einfach so viel über ihre Persönlichkeit aus。Vor allem wenn man bedenkt， wie die Plätze vergeben werden。 Wow， da fiel mir direkt mal die Kinnlade runter。Aber auch da muss ich mein Urteil revidieren。 Denn verurteilt ist schnell jemand， bis man sieht， was hinter dieser Person steckt。Denn Zusammenhalt， Vertrauen und Loyalität wird hier verdammt groß geschrieben und das gibt ein so unfassbar großes Gefühl。Daneben hat mich Cobb unglaublich beeindruckt， mit seiner Art， seiner Einfühlsamkeit und seiner Loyalität。Nicht zu vergessen M-Bot ，ich hab ihn so gefeiert und musste bei den Dialogen wirklich oft lachen。Aber M-Bot ist so viel mehr。Halt， Anker und Stütze zugleich。Etwas， was hier so unglaublich wichtig ist。Insgesamt so eine Vielseitigkeit an Persönlichkeiten und ich bin einfach nur begeistert， wie authentisch und greifbar sie waren。Obwohl man Spensas Perspektive erfährt， hat man das Gefühl jeden zu kennen。Man schließt sie ins Herz， ob man will oder nicht。 Denn jeder macht seine Entwicklung durch und hat sein Päckchen zu tragen。Der Einstieg fiel mir superleicht。 Und obwohl das Buch mit fast 600 Seiten wirklich dick ist， hätte ich mir gewünscht， es noch länger genießen zu können。Denn ich liebe diese Story einfach。Rasant， eindringlich und unglaublich intensiv。Man spürt das Adrenalin förmlich durch die Adern rauschen。 Ein Wahnsinnsgefühl。Aber nicht nur dieser Adrenalinrausch macht diese Story aus。Auch nicht die Bedrohung von Spensas Planeten oder die Krell。Es ist vor allem die Menschlichkeit und Kameradschaft。Denn man spürt so viel Vertrauen und Glück， aber auch Schmerz und Angst。Was das Ganze noch so viel größer macht。Der Autor bietet hier einige Wendungen， die dem Ganzen eine völlig neue Richtung gaben und mich definitiv sprachlos gemacht haben。 Die Thematik dahinter ist unglaublich gut und vor allem durch Spensas innere Zerrissenheit sehr gut zu spüren。Das Ende ist einfach nur genial und ich brauch unbedingt Band 2。Es geht um mehr als einen Kampf oder Träume。Es geht darum， herauszufinden wer man wirklich ist und das niemand so einfach verurteilt werden darf。Für mich ein absolutes Highlight。Fazit:Mit dem Auftakt der Claim the Stars Trilogie hat Brandon Sanderson ein unglaubliches Sci-Fi Spektakel zu Papier gebracht ，das mich ausnahmslos begeistert und tief beeindruckt hat。Faszinierend， vielschichtig und so unglaublich atmosphärisch。Es ist atemberaubend， berührend und gleichzeitig so rasant und facettenreich。Mehr als ein Adrenalinrausch。Es ist Bestimmung und gleichzeitig eine Reise zu dem eigenen Ich ，darüber hinaus legt der Autor einfach so viele wichtige Werte zwischen die Zeilen。Ich bin so unglaublich begeistert und brauch unbedingt sofort Band 2。Ein absolutes Highlight。 。。。more

Wow！！ Wow！！ Le pondría 150 estrellas！ Junto con Circe， mi lectura favorita del año y mis protagonistas favoritas。La historia， los personajes， las batallas！！ Y que final。。。 La forma en la que el autor maneja con maestría su pluma para combinar momentos de suma tensión， con toques de humor。 Y la evolución de los personajes。。。Simplemente maravilloso。 Una historia que se disfruta desde la primera a la última página。

Sanderson is a very expansive author。 This is a very different book than the Alloy series， Mistborn， etc。 A good first novel to the series。
