I watch many of the true crime programs and on one I saw the reenactment of the first story, "Till Murder Do Us Part"。 If the second story, "Ramp Up to Murder", has been on I would not have watched because it's much too gruesome。 Both stories were quick reads -- and very disturbing。 The author(s) quick clipped writing styles drew me into the stories。 The book can easily be read in one day but I took two because I needed a break between the events。 I watch many of the true crime programs and on one I saw the reenactment of the first story, "Till Murder Do Us Part"。 If the second story, "Ramp Up to Murder", has been on I would not have watched because it's much too gruesome。 Both stories were quick reads -- and very disturbing。 The author(s) quick clipped writing styles drew me into the stories。 The book can easily be read in one day but I took two because I needed a break between the events。 。。。more

Listened to the audio book。 Very much like a true crime podcast。 Perfect studio art making chatter。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I didn’t realize it was a true crime story - that changed my perspective on the book。 At first, I thought it was fiction, but life is hard and so seeing it as non-fiction, I see the story as how fragile life is and love makes us miss warning signs。 Still it seems if a woman’s perspective was taken into account in writing this book, it would have turned better。 For example, when Kathy sees the Porsche with a bow on it, my guess is she would have thought it was for her and she would have said some I didn’t realize it was a true crime story - that changed my perspective on the book。 At first, I thought it was fiction, but life is hard and so seeing it as non-fiction, I see the story as how fragile life is and love makes us miss warning signs。 Still it seems if a woman’s perspective was taken into account in writing this book, it would have turned better。 For example, when Kathy sees the Porsche with a bow on it, my guess is she would have thought it was for her and she would have said something like is it for who I think it is, and not guess that it was his。 Why would he put a bow on it for himself? Little things like it made it need a woman’s mind to fine tune the writing (according to me) 。。。more

Really enjoyed these quick true crime stories。

Two stories。 Fast read。 Interesting。 Especially the fact they are true crimes。 I found both very interesting。

I liked the second story better in that it was fast paced and well written。 But both books were good, short mysteries。

For a "presented by" James Patterson, this 2 story true crime book was well written in my opinion。 Both stories were interesting and, knowing that they were true, just added to the enjoyment。Fast read。 Good job " co-authors "。 For a "presented by" James Patterson, this 2 story true crime book was well written in my opinion。 Both stories were interesting and, knowing that they were true, just added to the enjoyment。Fast read。 Good job " co-authors "。 。。。more

Always awesome and intriguing。 True crime stories that have you wondering what possesses people to commit these murders。 Of course James Patterson does a fantastic job in presenting each case。 I listened to the audible book and was very impressed by the narrative。

I can't seem to pass by a Patterson book without wanting to read it。 They are becoming too formulaic and I seem to lose the memory that I don't like them as much。 I can't seem to pass by a Patterson book without wanting to read it。 They are becoming too formulaic and I seem to lose the memory that I don't like them as much。 。。。more

Till Murder Do Us Part by James Patterson are two true-crime thrillers that had me on the edge of my seat。 Till Murder Do Us Part written by Mr。 Patterson with Andrew Bourelle was full of twists and turns with an ending that shocked and surprised me。 Ramp Up To Murder by Mr。 Patterson with Max DiLallo was brutal and horrifying。 I rated both stories a four。

Karen Devine

Great writing! These stories will break your heart because they are true。 The writing is so great, I could not put this book down。

Rachel Plotts

First story was good。 Second story felt a bit drawn out

Laura Daugherty

Great! True crime!

Tonya Lucas

Two true crimes in this book。 Very compelling, horrific, and eye opening。What would you do if the man you married and lived with for 12 years is not who you thought he was? What would you do?After a spending many years together you find out your boyfriend has an even more sinister side, than he threatened to reign down on you?I highly recommend this book to those who love true crime。

Kathy Maganza

Really different since it’s non-fiction。 Didn’t know it was two stories。

You can understand why Patterson is a popular writer。 I do like that he has shared the limelight with the folks he is writing with。 This reminds me a little of Max Haines who would write about these murders and try to piece together the story to give them a human gloss。 There are two stories packed in here。 One is a little more straight forward than the other。 The read is quick and largely entertaining。 There is a slight difference in the authorial voice and I will put that down to the cowriters You can understand why Patterson is a popular writer。 I do like that he has shared the limelight with the folks he is writing with。 This reminds me a little of Max Haines who would write about these murders and try to piece together the story to give them a human gloss。 There are two stories packed in here。 One is a little more straight forward than the other。 The read is quick and largely entertaining。 There is a slight difference in the authorial voice and I will put that down to the cowriters。 。。。more

They were ok stories。 The first one seemed to go on forever。 The second on was kind of stupid。 And very gory at the end。

Tasha

Kathy will never be free if Eric。。。 still up to his tricks in old age🤦🏽‍♀️

Jas

Two books in one。

Lauren

Patterson never disappoints。 This was scary since these stories were based on true events

Janis

I am not a fan of these short novellas because too much gets left out。 This is a girl meets guy, guy isn’t what he says he is, girl has to get rid of guy story that didn’t intrigue me very much。

Another wonderful book by James Patterson。 I love all these books

Colette

Very quick read。 Two separate crime stories -

Sue Hagen

Fast read。 Interesting。

Mary

Quick read as very short chapters, typical of Patterson books。 I didn’t realize it was two of his ‘true crime’ stories until I read the overview。 It was like I was reading a script from an episode of 48 Hours。

Y'all, I did what I thought I would never do。I read a James Patterson book。Well, I listened to it。 And he cowrote it with others (which isn't that all Patterson is anymore anyway)。 Still, I can say I did a book with his name in the author line。。。。and you know what, it wasn't half bad。Scott and I listened to this true crime saga (two different stories) on our way to the Oregon Coast。 We stayed VERY engaged the entire time。 Like DANG! One case was about false identity, stolen gold, and a wife determined to bring a killer to justice。 Another was about a skateboarder turned radical religious nut who raped someone。。。。。。yeah that tale was intense。。。。。。The person reading did a decent job with voice inflections and was concise。 That is super important with an audiobook。 So again, success。 Will I go for another Patterson? If like this sure, but that's all。。。。。 。。。more

Got this gem of a book at my local library。 I thoroughly enjoyed it。 Im a James Patterson fan anyways。

This was my first James Patterson book。 I only recently learned that besides his fiction, he also writes non-fiction crime books。 Till Murder Do Us Part is an easy quick read discussing two cases of men who each commit a murder, one who conceals it for decades, the other one who confesses early in the investigation。 Mr。 Patterson presents the facts in an intriguing story-like narrative。
