Worldbuilding:I just have to say it。。。 I absolutely LOVED the recap at the start！！！ There were already several things I had totally forgotten， but Hades saved the day in a totally Hades fashion :DAs in the previous book， scenes and environments were well described and clear。Character development:After the bombshells that were dropped in the first instalment， I really wanted to say that everything calmed down a bit， but that would be a lie :） In between all the action and revelations， this book r Worldbuilding:I just have to say it。。。 I absolutely LOVED the recap at the start！！！ There were already several things I had totally forgotten， but Hades saved the day in a totally Hades fashion :DAs in the previous book， scenes and environments were well described and clear。Character development:After the bombshells that were dropped in the first instalment， I really wanted to say that everything calmed down a bit， but that would be a lie :） In between all the action and revelations， this book really had them all getting used to the idea of being together。 Together in the same house， together as Fury's mates，。。。 and this wasn't an easy thing， for any of them。 Fury's a badass demon hybrid :D While she felt a bit more passive in this instalment， I still really liked her。 She's fun and had my kind of humour。 She never gave up and had a decent head on her shoulders。Roman， Dorian and Ezra， all had their issues but going forward they need to get their heads in the game or they will lose everything， including Fury。 What I liked was that they all felt real。 Again， not just the main characters， but side characters as well。 I mean， what about Jules， she is so cool！ :D I cant wait to get to know more about her！Pacing and flow:I actually didn't read it in one go （yeah， I know。。。 shocker！） as I had so much other work to do， UGH！But that said， the pacing and flow were really good。 It read super smooth and never felt rushed or drawn out。 There was a lot of action going on， but well balanced with the conversations that kept the story moving forward。The book:The book itself was well written with no （noticeable） errors。 There is sex described （if that is important to you）。The book was 436 pages long， spread over 31 chapters and told from different points of view （though mainly Fury's）。Final thoughts:I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and all in all it was a good and enjoyable read。 A good follow up from the first instalment that set the stage perfectly for the third book。 While it felt a bit slower than the first， there was still a lot of action and some major reveals going on！ 。。。more

Brilliant readFirst， loved the quick story recap at the start of the book by Hades。 This made it easier to get into the tale again quickly。 I enjoyed the non-stop action and the ending made me pause - it was good。 Looking forward to book 3 and hopefully more answers。

Amazing！！ This book is so good！ I love Fury’s inner musings and her interactions with the guys and all the other characters。 There is humor， action， and steaminess in this installment。 Absolutely loved every page of this well written world！ Cannot wait for the next installment since we get some answers about some big things right at the end of this one！！

What！ That cliffy was a doozy！ Yet again， this is an amazing read。 Fury is a fantastic character， I can’t help but love her and have so much sympathy for all she’s endured and admire her so incredibly much for turning out the way she has despite it all。 The writing is amazing， I absolutely love reading and， for lack of a better word， watching the relationships grow and their bonds form tighter。 With just the perfect amount of humor adding just the right levity to those serious moments， and those What！ That cliffy was a doozy！ Yet again， this is an amazing read。 Fury is a fantastic character， I can’t help but love her and have so much sympathy for all she’s endured and admire her so incredibly much for turning out the way she has despite it all。 The writing is amazing， I absolutely love reading and， for lack of a better word， watching the relationships grow and their bonds form tighter。 With just the perfect amount of humor adding just the right levity to those serious moments， and those steamy moments being fun， not to mention hot！ Add in the overall storyline with its complete originality， all amounting to a read that sucks me in from start to finish with each new book。 I can wait for the next one！！ 。。。more

Amazing， amazing， AMAZING！ Kel Carpenter & Aurelia Jane have outdone themselves！ Hades， Dorian， Ezra， & Roman… the character development in this book is great。 Curtis a badass， as always。 You get to meet Rava who is a little unique。 Lyra causes problems。 Fury gets to know Dorian a little better & their moments were sweet。 I can’t wait to see where’s they continue the story with Black Swan。

I really enjoyed the recap in the beginning of the book by Hades - just a reminder of what happened so we can pick up where it left off。From the first chapter， i just could not put the book down。 We learn more about her mates and of course all the things that happen to Fury now that she was bitten by 3 alpha males from different species。 I deffo felt her frustrastions with the guys - Ezra with his abilities， I felt her anger and could deffo sympathize; and to be honest， I just can't get into lik I really enjoyed the recap in the beginning of the book by Hades - just a reminder of what happened so we can pick up where it left off。From the first chapter， i just could not put the book down。 We learn more about her mates and of course all the things that happen to Fury now that she was bitten by 3 alpha males from different species。 I deffo felt her frustrastions with the guys - Ezra with his abilities， I felt her anger and could deffo sympathize; and to be honest， I just can't get into liking the Dorian。 Roman I like the most from all of them。。。。。 We get introduced to a few new characters and Hades really grew on me during this book。 What I did not see coming was the ending - and boy was that one hell of a surprise！ Looking forward to book 3 to see where this goes next after that bombshell。 。。。more

Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane have done a fantastic job with White Raven， A Demon's Guide to the Afterlife series。 I loved the first book so much， it feels like I've been waiting forever for the second book in the series and the wait was well worth it， I loved the second book even more than the first。A lot happened in the first book and even more， happened in White Raven。 Fury is still determined to stop the world from ending even if the ones that are going to ending it are now her mates， Fury Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane have done a fantastic job with White Raven， A Demon's Guide to the Afterlife series。 I loved the first book so much， it feels like I've been waiting forever for the second book in the series and the wait was well worth it， I loved the second book even more than the first。A lot happened in the first book and even more， happened in White Raven。 Fury is still determined to stop the world from ending even if the ones that are going to ending it are now her mates， Fury is determined to do her job but she's grown feelings for the three alpha males plus with her gooey heart， she doesn't want to hurt them so things have gotten complicated for her。 Also， add in a crazy fae princess on the lose， the possible interference of angels， and the bumbling of her bosses in the Afterlife， things are getting more complicated by the second。 The mission isn't going right， Fury is good at her job， she's smart， and after putting the pieces together things are starting to not feel right。 Misinformation， no straight answers， and weird things are starting to connect， Fury is starting to realize that someone may have a hand in what's going on。One good thing about all this chaos is that it's forcing Fury to build relationships， fast pacing the other as well， and not just with her mates， Fury is gaining friends fairly well which is a surprise considering what a loner she was in her Afterlife。 Things with Ezra were already moving along but I really understood his commitment to Fury in this one， he showed his caring side and he's really trying with her， it's adorable especially since she was really mean to him in this one。 The most shocking relationship developments are with Dorian and Roman， both are possessive alpha males。 First， Dorian who is stoic， doesn't show emotion and is rather removed， the fae really opened up in this one and I'm surprised how passionate he can be and also how stupid， there were a couple of times where I just wanted to shake him for making bad choices， but I loved the possessiveness that he expresses in this book， things were fire and I loved it。 Finally， there is Roman who didn't think he could ever get over his late mate enough to work on a relationship with Fury but somehow things progress with them in surprising ways。 Best of all the guys are starting to be decent towards each other in the common goal to keep Fury safe。The plot was great， I love the new friendships that Fury makes， Rava is really cool and Roxanne is like a sister， and they both rally around Fury to help her with the issues that crop up。 Even Hades aka "pigeon" is being helpful this time around。 Hades is gathering information， cracking jokes （seriously some good scenes） and so much more， he and Fury are growing a bond that neither of them will acknowledge。 As for the story， Fury has now been turned into a hybrid by her three mates and none of them know what to expect because Fury is unique。 She has a few complications that cause everyone to be worried because of course nothing is normal for her then add in Fury's new powers and dealing with a fae princess's blood-lust， a lot was going on， lots of drama。 The story was paced well， with new information revealed about the afterlife， about the angels， vampires， shifters， and the fae。 Not to mention that a new character was introduced and while her legend is known Kel and Aurelia twisted the legend and turned it into something that actually fits the story really well。I love the Afterlife series， White Raven was utterly fantastic， better than I could have hoped for。 Alpha males， steamy scenes， wise-cracking birds， relationship drama， fantastic characters， new powers， past trauma， and a jaw-dropping plot twist at the end just to name some of the things that happened in this book。 How could I not be entertained？ How could I not love every second of this book？ That ending was a doozy， it opened up a whole new can of worms and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book Black Swan。 I don't know if Black Swan is the final book or not but I'm hoping not because I already want more Fury， either I will be （im）patiently waiting for the next book。 。。。more

Fury and her mates are back and she is ready to kick but， as soon as she works out who is trying to kill her。 This story move at a fast pace with lots of twist and turns。 The sarcasm keeps on coming and the heat moves up a notch。 This is a fantastic book I look forward to the Black Swan the last in this series。I received an ARC in return for an honest review。
