I enjoyed reading Wes and Stella’s love story。 Toni has a way of writing broken boys in away that makes you love them。 I loved the way she told his heart wrenching story and how it brings both of them together。 I would recommend this book to anyone one。 It’s another great book！

I have been waiting for this book！ Wes and Stella had amazing chemistry all through the previous Next Gen books so I was beyond excited when I heard their story was coming。We new that Wes had some serious issues from his childhood， and boy was that the truth。 I loved how Stella （and Emery） were there to give him love and support。The glimpses of all the previous characters is what I love most about these books。 The way the characters continue to develop and evolve throughout each new book is a fu I have been waiting for this book！ Wes and Stella had amazing chemistry all through the previous Next Gen books so I was beyond excited when I heard their story was coming。We new that Wes had some serious issues from his childhood， and boy was that the truth。 I loved how Stella （and Emery） were there to give him love and support。The glimpses of all the previous characters is what I love most about these books。 The way the characters continue to develop and evolve throughout each new book is a fun way to keep them in your hearts。 I love watching Aiden as a brother and diving more into the sisterly dynamic with Stella and Emery。 I can’t wait for Emery’s book in the future。Thanks to Toni for sharing the Nashville Assassins with us。 Keep the books coming please！ 。。。more

I've got to admit that I have waited a long time for this book。 I absolutely love the Brooks family！ They are so fun they love each other and they are hilarious！ It did not disappoint。 The story between Wes and Stella began a couple of books ago in the series so if you haven't read those I would highly suggest it。 However， you don't have to read those to fall in love with these characters in this book。 Been waiting for the backstory on Wes for quite some time and it really really delivered。 I li I've got to admit that I have waited a long time for this book。 I absolutely love the Brooks family！ They are so fun they love each other and they are hilarious！ It did not disappoint。 The story between Wes and Stella began a couple of books ago in the series so if you haven't read those I would highly suggest it。 However， you don't have to read those to fall in love with these characters in this book。 Been waiting for the backstory on Wes for quite some time and it really really delivered。 I liked how Toni Aleo really really covered sensitive topics in such oh way that really shows what real people are dealing with and how they deal with it。Wes is a tough hockey player but he has always had his eye on his best friends sister Stella and the time has finally come where they decide they will take a step forward。 Like any couple they have issues。 Wes is bringing a lot of baggage and Stella also has some secrets that she is keeping from her family， which is hard to do。 They really compliment each other。One of the stars of this book is Emory， Stella’s younger sister。 （In every book she makes an appearance she steals the show in my opinion。） She does not mince words for anything or anyone and really has no filter。 It is almost guaranteed that when she is in the room there will be a riot。 If you are looking for two people to deal with their issues and make each other better， then get this book！ Be prepared to fall in love with the Brooks family because。 They love hard and do not hold back their thoughts … especially Emory！ 。。。more

Dirty Toe drag is the 6th book in the Nashville Assassins: Next Generation series。 This is Stella Brooks and Wesley McMillian’s story。 I absolutely love reading about the next generation in this series。 Dirty Toe Drag is an amazing story， it is a best friends little sister story which I absolutely love。 I love Stella and Wes， but they have some huge obstacles to overcome if they want their chance of a happily ever after！ I can’t wait to read more from this series。

Dirty Toe Drag is about Stella and Wes。 Stella is Aiden’s little sister and Wes is his best friend。 They hooked up at Aiden’s wedding， but despite wanting each other， they both decided to back off。 Now they’re ready to be together， but Aiden， Wes’s past， and other situations try to keep them apart。 I adored this story。 I loved how when they finally get together， each were all about it。 There was no doubts what so ever。 I loved Stella’s relationship with her sister Emery， as well as Wes and Emery Dirty Toe Drag is about Stella and Wes。 Stella is Aiden’s little sister and Wes is his best friend。 They hooked up at Aiden’s wedding， but despite wanting each other， they both decided to back off。 Now they’re ready to be together， but Aiden， Wes’s past， and other situations try to keep them apart。 I adored this story。 I loved how when they finally get together， each were all about it。 There was no doubts what so ever。 I loved Stella’s relationship with her sister Emery， as well as Wes and Emery。 She was probably my favorite side character。 There is a difficult topic with this book， but that’s what makes Toni Alex’s stories so interesting and believable。 I can’t wait to read the next book in the Next Generation series。 。。。more

Oh my goodness。 This book had it all。 I laughed， cried and held my breath while reading this book and can’t wait to read more from Ms。 Aleo。 While there is a pretty big trigger in this story， it was written so well and with such great care that my heart broke for Wes。 I was surprised to find out that the male experienced what he did， because it is usually the woman that goes through the abuse。 Wes and Stella were both such strong characters and lifted each other up when needed。 He didn’t feel Oh my goodness。 This book had it all。 I laughed， cried and held my breath while reading this book and can’t wait to read more from Ms。 Aleo。 While there is a pretty big trigger in this story， it was written so well and with such great care that my heart broke for Wes。 I was surprised to find out that the male experienced what he did， because it is usually the woman that goes through the abuse。 Wes and Stella were both such strong characters and lifted each other up when needed。 He didn’t feel worthy of her and knew he was messed up， but was working on himself。 Stella was always confident， except when it came to telling her parents the truth about wha she wanted to do with her life。 Seeing her struggle with something that Wes could help her with gave their relationship some balance。 Her issue might not be to the scale of his issue， but it was still real。 I loved how she stood up for him time and time again， especially with his ‘dad’， yet didn’t let him get away with ghosting her。 Emery is a hoot and I loved seeing her hidden heart shine。 I can already see Wes being the one all guys have an issue with when it comes to being with Emery。 It was great seeing the majority of the original Assassins， as well as， the kids。 Lucas using Shea’s angina was hilarious。 I am not sure how she outdoes herself every time， but she does。 I can’t wait to see what happens next。 I received an ARC in exchange for an honest， voluntary review。 。。。more

This is the first I've read from this author and while it's part of a series， I had no issue following along and enjoying the story。 Stella is older than her age， she knows what she wants， doesn't compromise what's important to her and eventually follows her heart not only when it comes to Wes but her career as well。 Wes is a typical mid-twenties guys guy。 He plays the field as well as he plays hockey， until the one girl he just can't get out of his head drops an ultimatum。 It doesn't help that This is the first I've read from this author and while it's part of a series， I had no issue following along and enjoying the story。 Stella is older than her age， she knows what she wants， doesn't compromise what's important to her and eventually follows her heart not only when it comes to Wes but her career as well。 Wes is a typical mid-twenties guys guy。 He plays the field as well as he plays hockey， until the one girl he just can't get out of his head drops an ultimatum。 It doesn't help that he's her brother's best friend。 I really liked Wesley's growth， it came with hiccups but he stayed the course and continued working on his issues。 Emery was a nice little bonus in the story， depth of character， a bit complex and loyal even when it seems she goes too far。 The only drawback for me was that I felt like it ended a little abruptly。 I'm sure we'll see more in future books， but I would have liked a little more。 。。。more
