Fairytale retellings can be hit or miss for me， but this one was absolute perfection。 Mrs。 Havig kept just the right details and the right amount of them from the original Cinderella to make it work perfectly in the 1920s setting。 And she brought her own style to it to make it a story about learning to trust God more fully that is 100% believable and 100% enjoyable。 I loved the characters she created for this story and how they corresponded just enough to the original Cinderella characters。 And Fairytale retellings can be hit or miss for me， but this one was absolute perfection。 Mrs。 Havig kept just the right details and the right amount of them from the original Cinderella to make it work perfectly in the 1920s setting。 And she brought her own style to it to make it a story about learning to trust God more fully that is 100% believable and 100% enjoyable。 I loved the characters she created for this story and how they corresponded just enough to the original Cinderella characters。 And the mystery was quite good and definitely kept me guessing！I received a complimentary early copy of this book from the author。 。。。more
