Growing up, I felt so alone and unable to talk about everything that I felt。 There were things I just knew with no explanation of how I knew them。 When I would tell people about my “feelings”, no one would listen。 My mother would use my intuition as a toy, to assess the people she would date and then not listen。 Having grown up now I wish my parents would of had this book to read。 In reading it, I learned a lot about myself and how to parent my empath in a way that helps them learn to manage the Growing up, I felt so alone and unable to talk about everything that I felt。 There were things I just knew with no explanation of how I knew them。 When I would tell people about my “feelings”, no one would listen。 My mother would use my intuition as a toy, to assess the people she would date and then not listen。 Having grown up now I wish my parents would of had this book to read。 In reading it, I learned a lot about myself and how to parent my empath in a way that helps them learn to manage their gifts。 This is an excellent book for the Empath parent and I have recommended it to my friends who are also raising families of empaths。 Anxiety has played a huge role in our lives and has proven to be so overwhelming at times。 Learning how it can effect us as empaths and ways to help my children cope with their anxiety, it is a relief to me as a parent to learn new ways to help my children on there path。 Please if your raising empath or highly sensitive children, check out this book。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

As an educator of children, I am always looking for new tools to help me serve them better。 I have heard of empaths before but have never read anything on empath children。 Some of the information overlaps with highly sensitive children and I was happy to see information on how to better understand these children。 Clearly written and a quick read。

This is a book that I wished had been written a long time ago so that my parents could have benefitted from it。 I now realize that it needed the love, insight and care if Judy Dyer to come to be。 I am an empath。 I struggled a lot as a child because I was the only empath within my family。 I fell prey to a lot of the toxic beliefs empaths develop when they are forced to develop and grow in an environment that lacks the care and understanding that is desperately needed。 As an empath, one would thin This is a book that I wished had been written a long time ago so that my parents could have benefitted from it。 I now realize that it needed the love, insight and care if Judy Dyer to come to be。 I am an empath。 I struggled a lot as a child because I was the only empath within my family。 I fell prey to a lot of the toxic beliefs empaths develop when they are forced to develop and grow in an environment that lacks the care and understanding that is desperately needed。 As an empath, one would think that when I became a parent and was blessed with my own empathic children, I would understand all their needs and know exactly how to best parent them。 While, I do handle certain things better than my parents approach, there was a WHOLE LOT that I still got wrong。 It is very easy to do。 There is a lot that I needed to unlearn from my childhood and relearn from my soul。 While I wish this book had been around when I struggled to parent my oldest child, I am so grateful it is here to help me with my youngest。 Think of this book as a personal coach。 Within its pages you will find answers, insight, tips and possibilities for every challenge you may encounter with your highly sensitive child。 You can easily feel the time, research and intention that went into every single page。 I am a big fan of Judy's work and have read many of her books。 I can easily say that this book is special in its insight and approach。 It was written to help any and every parent out there, regardless of their experience with sensitive children, how to express the love and care their child needs while giving them the tools and opportunity to thrive in life。 Each chapter addresses the challenges most empaths face。 (It was comforting as an empath to know I was not alone in most of them。) She explains each challenge, supplies scientific and medical insight, offers emotional and empathic insight, and presents the parents with available resources and solutions to help overcome these challenges。 She does this so well that it's almost like having a Google Map give you directions showing you what to do each step of the way。 She lays out all the pros and cons out of everything and gives you the space and encouragement to decide for yourself what is best for your child。 It's honestly the most loving thing one can do。 I have dealt with many of the challenges outlined with my own children。 I have 5 of them。 I can honestly say this book opened me up to new approaches and gave me the reassurance and support I needed to continue on in my parenting journey。 I feel confident that by the end of this book, you will feel the same。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

As a parent of any child, you should read this book。 I have had the opportunity to work with children and parents who have a child who is just a bit different。 Some act out others become very quiet but both were very sensitive to others and events occurring around them。 I found that all children are like sponges they grab on to feeling and information then they don’t let go but can become completely saturated and completely overwhelmed。 I found the author's book to be right on point。 Too often As a parent of any child, you should read this book。 I have had the opportunity to work with children and parents who have a child who is just a bit different。 Some act out others become very quiet but both were very sensitive to others and events occurring around them。 I found that all children are like sponges they grab on to feeling and information then they don’t let go but can become completely saturated and completely overwhelmed。 I found the author's book to be right on point。 Too often a child has been given a title because it easier for the school or parent but it is not easier for the child。 Every parent even if the child is not what you want to call an empathy should read this book。 It is important to remember every child is a work of art and should be loved and cherished and helped to grow into a person who has a wealth of soul。 Excellent book! I am so glad to have read this book。 My only wish is that I had this knowledge years ago。 At least 3 of my 3 children are, by my reckoning, empath children。 To have known how to do this right the first time would have been incredible。 Perhaps someday with grandchildren。。。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

I found this book to be both informative and sensitive 。 As an empathetic with a highly sensitive child, I wish that I had read this book much sooner。 I was able to understand myself and my journey as well as learn parenting techniques to better support my child。 I applaud this author for promoting education around empathy and highly sensitive children。 I would recommend this book to parents and educators。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。
