Collette and Antonio are so much fun! They each have some secrets, his worse than hers, but nothing that is unforgivable。 When they each learn to let go of that and live in the present, the learn how the past heals itself and allows you to move forward to the future。 This was a great story, probably my favorite so far in this series。 It was a quick, sweet read with a journey through Europe。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。
Barbara Ruth,
Just awful, for me anyway。 Too much stupid interior monologue, with obvious and predictable writing。 Both main characters seems quite adolescent。Wish it featured more wit and subtlety。Can’t finish。 Wish I hadn’t paid for it。
Michaela,
It’s becoming a thing for me not to read the blurbs if I know the author or series。 So, this book constantly took me places I wasn’t expecting。 I really liked traveling abroad in this book with completely different backgrounds for our characters。 I think this was my favorite of the series。 I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review。
Alison Ramsay,
Journey of discoveryColette and Antonio meet several random times when Colette first arrives on her journey of discovery/remembrance bucket list tour, and Antonio is on his own travel search for his mother。 Travelling together, they both learn to love。 This is a funny but sad, hopeful and romantic love story。
Ann,
This is a beautiful love story that hooks you on the first page。 It is full of emotions and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next。 This was a book I hated to see end。 It was a joy to read。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。
Lori,
Such a beautiful story! There is so much that is touched upon in this book-the loss of a young love, the abandonment of a child, and the search for a “love letter kind of life”。 The story of Colette and Antonio is a sweeping fairy-tale-like story of finding love when traveling in Europe。 This book made me yearn for a love like theirs where the best love is the beginning of love and the journey that you take together! I was laughing and crying and I never wanted this story to end because it was s Such a beautiful story! Too early a widow。 A loss he cannot seem to get over。 Can they ever find happiness?Although the basic premise of a young widow struggling with her loss and a son abandoned by his mother may sound sad, this book is not depressing。 Instead, Ellie Hall addresses the issues of loss of love, hopes and dreams with a gentle hand。 Not negating the emotions but allowing happiness and healing to be found。 Colette carries a secret even her best friends don’t know。 Colette lost her high school sweetheart an Too early a widow。 A loss he cannot seem to get over。 Can they ever find happiness?Although the basic premise of a young widow struggling with her loss and a son abandoned by his mother may sound sad, this book is not depressing。 Instead, Ellie Hall addresses the issues of loss of love, hopes and dreams with a gentle hand。 Not negating the emotions but allowing happiness and healing to be found。 Colette carries a secret even her best friends don’t know。 Colette lost her high school sweetheart and husband three months after the wedding。 Now after more than ten years she is still struggling。 With the urging of her friends, she sets out to complete the bucket list she made with her husband。 Arriving in England she is quickly confused and overwhelmed。 A friend of a friend who was to meet her is a no show and the only good thing seems to be Antonio who she keeps bumping into and who finally rescues her that night。 The next day repeats the accidental meetings with Antonio who is holding his own secret。 His mother vanished when he was a child, young enough he didn’t even realize that the woman he had called mother was his step-mother instead。 Now he searches for her following the few clues he has in her journal。 As Colette and Antonio combine their trips, their experiences bring laughter, companionship, and joy neither thought they would feel。 Plus, someone to help them through their loss。 A fun book with a lot of depth。 Thoroughly enjoyable。 I received an early copy and this is my honest review。 。。。more
