Summary

It's a Dog Text World 。。。

Autumn Jones is at a crossroads。 With no job offers in sight, she can either return to Koshkonong, Wisconsin to work at her dad’s feed store or she can move to New York and help her older sister Helen coordinate the Manhattan Kennel Club Show。 She and Helen may fight like cats and dogs, but Autumn would rather live with a thousand Helens than go home after seven years of college。

Jack Campbell is the veterinarian to Manhattan’s elite。 Despite their adoration, he does not love them back。 In fact, he’s vowed never to date anyone who walks through the front door of his clinic。 He spends his days caring for pampered poodles sporting diamond encrusted collars and placating their high maintenance owners。 When he meets Autumn, he assumes she’s going to be another client with more money than brains。

Autumn is thrown into a bizarre world of highly competitive rich women who will do anything to win the coveted title of Best in Show at Manhattan’s most exclusive competition。 With her haughty sister breathing down her neck, and a high-strung poodle following her everywhere she goes, she doesn’t have time for love, even if she does find herself face-to-face with America’s hottest vet every day。

Will Autumn run back to Wisconsin with her tail between her legs? Will Jack find out that appearances can be deceiving? Will Helen’s dog Fifi win Best in Show? Find out in the hysterical fourth edition of the Accidentally in Love Series, Text in Show。

I really wanted to love this book。 But I didn't like a single character。 Jack was judgy and holier than tough from the first sentence。 It was exhausting to read about how much he hated how ridiculous everyone but him was。 Autumn was a bit in over her head in a world she wasn't prepared for and she didn't really seem to realize what she was getting into。 But it seemed like she never asked she expected to just show up and have her sister, Helen, take care of everything。 She seems proud of how she I really wanted to love this book。 But I didn't like a single character。 Jack was judgy and holier than tough from the first sentence。 It was exhausting to read about how much he hated how ridiculous everyone but him was。 Autumn was a bit in over her head in a world she wasn't prepared for and she didn't really seem to realize what she was getting into。 But it seemed like she never asked she expected to just show up and have her sister, Helen, take care of everything。 She seems proud of how she is able to wander around with her head in the clouds and thinks everyone should love her because she is such a good observer of people。 She constantly complains about how ridiculous Helen is and how she isn't treated well enough, but the thought of getting an actual job and live on her own never seems to occur to her。Helen is definitely flailing and slowly unraveling。 But Autumn never shows any real sympathy for her。 She is constantly upset with how Helen handles things and lives her life, but doesn't take time any to sit down and understand her。 She only wants to tell her sister how wrong her life is to the point of being cruel。 But it's ok because Helen's life isn't what Autumn respects, I guess? The posh society ladies where ridiculous the the point of parody。 They were clearly meant to be out of touch, shallow, miserable and with more money than brains。 I think the juxtaposition of the 'normal' people was intended to make Jack and Autumn appear better/more real。 But Jack and Autumn are just as judgy and self-obsessed。 At least the society ladies know they are ridiculous。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

A solid read but not as good as the others in the seriesI did enjoy this book, but it did not live up to the previous three in the series。 While Autumn and Jack were a great couple, their relation ship was lacking comparatively。 I did enjoy Autumn and Helen building their relationship as sisters and Helen learning to stand on her own though。

3。5 stars。 This is cute, fluffy fun。 The characters are pleasant and there are lots of humorous moments。 The proclivities of bored rich people were skewered amusingly and I enjoyed all the dog antics and the commentary of the vet clinic's admin。 The romance is a little frustrating。 As the heroine rightfully complains, Jack is very inconsistent to the point where he does seem to be jerking Autumn around a bit, but he manages to stay likable overall。 The story is completely PG - nothing more than 3。5 stars。 This is cute, fluffy fun。 The characters are pleasant and there are lots of humorous moments。 The proclivities of bored rich people were skewered amusingly and I enjoyed all the dog antics and the commentary of the vet clinic's admin。 The romance is a little frustrating。 As the heroine rightfully complains, Jack is very inconsistent to the point where he does seem to be jerking Autumn around a bit, but he manages to stay likable overall。 The story is completely PG - nothing more than kissing is referenced。 Anyone looking for a light diversion would have fun with this quick, entertaining read! Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review! 。。。more

Lordy Autumn deserves a medal for dealing with her sister, Helen。 Autumn moved to New York to help her sister with a dog show and to try to get into a school for her doctorate。 The dog show is a straight train to crazy town! This was a delightful story about love but also about priorities and family and being true to oneself。 Also about the shallowness and corrupt competitiveness the uber rich can fall prey to。 As always, Ms。 Dineen makes me laugh! And this collaboration with Ms。 Summers has characters that are real, likable and with depth of character as well as human frailties。 I read and ARC of this story and am happy to offer this honest review。
