Lots of smashing, lots of fighting, and at least two plot twists I didn't see coming。 Things are heating up, no doubt。 Did make me laugh that I went 'the only way to stop the villain now is by *blank*', and then that literal thing happened like a page later。 Lots of smashing, lots of fighting, and at least two plot twists I didn't see coming。 Things are heating up, no doubt。 Did make me laugh that I went 'the only way to stop the villain now is by *blank*', and then that literal thing happened like a page later。 。。。more

I loved those! I always preorder them, then they arrive always at a strange and perfect end to the week timing。 Grab them from the mail finishing work and i always go grab a beer then straight outside and read them right away。 Just a fun little entertaining moment of mine!Anyway, great action in this one and we get a feeling of closure too, for the first time it really felt like we're close to the end。 I heard the series was coming to an end soon, don't know if this is true, if some of you know I loved those!

Thank you to NetGalley and Viz Media for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review。My Hero Academia's energy remains high in Vol。 28。 The teachers and mentors shine in this volume, and readers are treated to more of MHA's characteristic spirit of teamwork and adventure。 Horikoshi's art is fluid and dynamic, but at times, the use of speed lines makes the art a little difficult to make out。 There were times that I wished the lettering was a little more organic and had more of a hand drawn qualit Thank you to NetGalley and Viz Media for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review。My Hero Academia's energy remains high in Vol。 28。 The teachers and mentors shine in this volume, and readers are treated to more of MHA's characteristic spirit of teamwork and adventure。 Horikoshi's art is fluid and dynamic, but at times, the use of speed lines makes the art a little difficult to make out。 There were times that I wished the lettering was a little more organic and had more of a hand drawn quality to complement the art, but I understand the limitations of the localization pipeline (tight deadlines, heavy workload, etc), and overall, John Hunt's lettering is fantastic。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Holy shit, that was intense。The current arc is action packed。 Every hero, well known and new, are coming out to fight the main villain and I'm seriously worried about my faves。This manga series has been slowly building towards something, and to be honest, I didn't know where it was leading but this storyline has not disappointed。It feels like it's coming to an end, which I hope it's not, but after (hopefully) defeating Shigaraki where will the manga lead? I'm excited to see how it will progress。 Holy shit, that was intense。The current arc is action packed。 Every hero, well known and new, are coming out to fight the main villain and I'm seriously worried about my faves。This manga series has been slowly building towards something, and to be honest, I didn't know where it was leading but this storyline has not disappointed。It feels like it's coming to an end, which I hope it's not, but after (hopefully) defeating Shigaraki where will the manga lead? Sometimes there's just so much happening it's hard (for me, at least) to figure out what's going on, but this is more like it。 Alas, there's still Bakugō。 Sometimes there's just so much happening it's hard (for me, at least) to figure out what's going on, but this is more like it。 Alas, there's still Bakugō。 。。。more

I went from being too afraid to read on from the previous volume, to binge-reading this in one day。 It's so full of action and suspense that before you know it, you're turning the page and starting the next chapter。We jump straight back in to the heroes vs villains battle。 It's a race against time to stop Shigaraki before his unnatural transformation is complete。 The Nomus are raging on, and they're extremely tough opponents。 They aren't quite High-Ends, as they can't think for themselves, but I I went from being too afraid to read on from the previous volume, to binge-reading this in one day。 It's so full of action and suspense that before you know it, you're turning the page and starting the next chapter。We jump straight back in to the heroes vs villains battle。 It's a race against time to stop Shigaraki before his unnatural transformation is complete。 The Nomus are raging on, and they're extremely tough opponents。 They aren't quite High-Ends, as they can't think for themselves, but I believe they're called Near-High-Ends。 Some are intelligent, others are super powerful。 It's much scarier now to fight them than when they were mindless drones。 Even though it's a terrifying battle, it's really cool to see the pros in action。 We get to see Quirks we've not seen much of, or at all, and everyone, even minor characters, gets their time to shine。 Although, the more of the fighting we see, the more injuries and even deaths occur。Then, what nobody wanted to occur happens。。。Shigaraki wakes。 It was expected, of course, but what he returns as is horrifying。 Shigaraki's past is revisited, and we learn about All for One's plan for him, and the work he did with the doctor。 Just as you think the heroes have the upper hand, all hell breaks loose。 Shigaraki's new power is extraordinary。 It gives the heroes fighting him pause, despite the fact that there's hundreds of them versus only one of him。 It's a power that can't easily be countered, and the only way to survive is to flee from it。 We also return to the fight between Dabi and Hawks, with some mentor-mentee relationship between Tokayami and Hawks as Tokoyami continues on his journey to save him。 I'm so glad Tokoyami is getting more attention。 He's arguably one of my favourite members of 1-A, and we don't always get to see much of him, as his classmates sometimes overshadow him。 The fight comes to an end, with some heart breaking results。Then, we move over to a different area of the battle that hasn't been seen yet, with Deku, Bakugou, Todoroki, and many other U。A。 students and heroes。 Deku's been out of the picture for a while, as the fight has been elsewhere, but then there's more interactions with the previous One for All users, breaking through to warn him of incoming danger。 The users are clearly not just shadows, as All Might previously thought。 They're reaching out to Deku now, and speaking to him in real time。 All for One's connection to One for All is highlighted here, as Shigaraki immediately targets Deku in search of One for All。 Both successors have their master's power。 Deku has All Might's power, and Shigaraki has All for One's power。As Shigaraki beelines for Deku, we get some nice Bakugou and Deku interactions where they work together for once, instead of clashing heads。 Bakugou's one of the few people who knows Deku's secret, and so he's the only one nearby who can help him when Deku realises he needs to do something to protect everyone around them。Lastly, we get a powerful Aizawa moment。 As you may or may not know from previous reviews, Aizawa is probably my all-time favourite character。 We see here that although he comes across as uncaring and relaxed, he truly does care for his students and will do anything to protect them, even if it means risking his life。 I'm truly scared for him after the cliffhanger the last chapter left us on, and I'm in the same position that I was in at the end of the last volume。 Excited to read on, but also too scared to。My Blog 。。。more
