A little different。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。May contain spoilers。。。。。。Can I say that this was my favorite start to one of this author's series？ No， but I can say it was different， not a bad different ， just different。 Am I sorry I read it？ Absolutely not。 One thing I can point out that was different， was how weak the protagonist is。 It's quite pathetic at times and I'm not used to that with this author， however， it just means that this character has leaps and bounds to grow and that is exciting。 She has A little different。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。May contain spoilers。。。。。。Can I say that this was my favorite start to one of this author's series？ No， but I can say it was different， not a bad different ， just different。 Am I sorry I read it？ Absolutely not。 One thing I can point out that was different， was how weak the protagonist is。 It's quite pathetic at times and I'm not used to that with this author， however， it just means that this character has leaps and bounds to grow and that is exciting。 She has the potential to be a favorite character from Grey。 Another difference is that Sadie's mate is human or at least part。 That too is an exciting concept。 There are so many possibilities at growth from this character。 While they each fought their connection to each other， Grey didnt beat around the bush， with their bond。 I loved that。 So many times with this genre， that aspect seems to drag on for ages。 I'm excited for Sadie's story to unfold。 I actually feel like I cant give you an honest review because it's just getting started。 I'll leave you with this。 This storyline has so so much potential。 。。。more

So many supesI loved this book and I think one of the biggest reasons why is all the different types of supernaturals we get to have: wolves， dragons， and vampires。 An unlikely bunch form strong ties and friendships as they navigate danger brought on by Sadie's father。 The biggest alphahole there is。 I loved that Roxy and Lillith bring a comical aspect。 And was dying laughing of at the end。 Book 2 is going to be awesome！ So many supesI loved this book and I think one of the biggest reasons why is all the different types of supernaturals we get to have: wolves， dragons， and vampires。 An unlikely bunch form strong ties and friendships as they navigate danger brought on by Sadie's father。 The biggest alphahole there is。 I loved that Roxy and Lillith bring a comical aspect。 And was dying laughing of at the end。 Book 2 is going to be awesome！ 。。。more

Jen is one of my favorite authors， I've read a few series by her now so when she releases a new book I know I'm gonna enjoy it and this book is no exception。 Hidden Mate is the first book in her Wolf Born trilogy and it was great。 Filled with grumpy males， sexual tension， and a whole lot of drama， I was very entertained。 Hidden Mate is （so far） a single perspective paranormal romance that centers on Sadie a pink-haired alpha Heir whose dad is an evil alpha with visions of grandeur and very contr Jen is one of my favorite authors， I've read a few series by her now so when she releases a new book I know I'm gonna enjoy it and this book is no exception。 Hidden Mate is the first book in her Wolf Born trilogy and it was great。 Filled with grumpy males， sexual tension， and a whole lot of drama， I was very entertained。 Hidden Mate is （so far） a single perspective paranormal romance that centers on Sadie a pink-haired alpha Heir whose dad is an evil alpha with visions of grandeur and very controlling。 Sadie is smart and nice but when it comes to her dad a little naive。 She knows her dad isn't a good guy， she's using college to get from under his control yet she believes all his BS about how the supernatural races are。 However， after getting away from her controlling， bully of a father， Sadie is starting to recognize her own strengths and ideas。The romance in this book is a little different， Sadie is a wolf shifter attracted to a very human Donovan who is as grumpy as they come。 When they met things aren't great and they stay that way for a while with a lot of sexual tension because Donovan feels something for Sadie too。 The two snark and go back and forth with each other for a while。 There was one moment that pissed me off because Donovan got mad at Sadie for going through with a previous commitment than be with him。 He was jealous and overreacted but considering his background I'll give him some leeway。 However， things do eventually get better。This is Jen， so of course， there was gonna be a spunky best friend who has nothing but jokes for our leading lady。 Roxy is Sadie's best friend and she accompanied Sadie to college， their roommates。 Roxy is a spunky fashion diva who always has Sadie's back and does her best to protect Sadie even if it from making bad decisions。 I love that Sadie has someone she can turn to， someone from her pack， and knows all the bad she has gone through。 Also， love that while Roxy may be lower in the pack Sadie didn't let her dad bully her into not being friends with Roxy。My favorite thing about this book is the new supernatural mythology that Jen has created。 There are other supernaturals in this story besides wolf shifters and Jen has explained some of their abilities， weaknesses， and backgrounds。 It's different than what Jen has put out before and very interesting， I hope we get a little more details about the groups。 Including Egan's group because I love Egan he is so honorable and is such a good friend to Sadie。Hidden Mate was a quick and fun read， with Sadie coming into her own， making new friends， and the relationship drama was so good。 There were a couple of hints at some secret surrounding Sadie then add in that dramatic cliffhanger I am super excited to find out what's coming next， in the second book appropriately named Blood Secrets。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Brilliant。 This book was perfect。 Perfect characters。Perfect plot。Perfect book cover （I am still in awe of that。）And when you get all three of these （plus much more） fulfilled， you find an inner satisfaction。 To me， that’s the best feeling a reader can have。 Or well， one of them anyway。 Anyhow， I have been trying to search for good YA/NA fantasy series where the main character is a wolf shifter （I love Fae， Fallen angels， and vampires） but werewolf shifters are the best。 Anyhow， I came across Brilliant。 This book was perfect。 Perfect characters。Perfect plot。Perfect book cover （I am still in awe of that。）And when you get all three of these （plus much more） fulfilled， you find an inner satisfaction。 To me， that’s the best feeling a reader can have。 Or well， one of them anyway。 Anyhow， I have been trying to search for good YA/NA fantasy series where the main character is a wolf shifter （I love Fae， Fallen angels， and vampires） but werewolf shifters are the best。 Anyhow， I came across this series and decided to give it a go。 Or more like ordered the book because I wanted it so bad， but hey it’s the same thing。And it was amazing。 Sadie， is one of my favorite urban fantasy heriones。 She might not be badass or super strong， but she speaks for herself doesn’t let others control her。 Her character， her motivations， her choices， I completely understood her and rooted for her。 She’s just a tough woman wanting to find her own way through life。And Donovan。 Well…wow。 He is every bit just as flawed as Sadie and yet…I still liked him。 He doesn’t have the best life， but he still tries to work with Sadie to figure out their relationship。 The side characters are the best。 Egan （ a dragon shifter） is a great friend to Sadie。 Roxy is the ultimate best friend。 Katherine and Lillith （vampires） are the ultimate girl posse。 I didn’t like Brock， he was really annoying。 Anyways， Sadie tries to figure out her relationship with Donovan while managing to avoid Brock and her dad。 In between， we see various shenanigans between all of Sadie’s friends as well。 I loved it。Also I don’t think Sadie is a complete werewolf shifter。 She stopped bullets and teleported while fighting someone， which is something a wolf shifter wouldn’t be able to do。 What is she？ I can’t wait to find out。 。。。more

‘Hidden Mate’ is book one in Jen L。 Grey’s The Wolf Born Trilogy。Sadie wants nothing more than to have some freedom and space for her father and pack。 There’s one condition， she and her best friend Roxy can attend college as long as Brock goes with her。 Sadie and Roxy just want to have some fun and learn something while they attend college， but having Brock following and watching their every move and reporting to her dad isn’t going to be as fun as she hoped。 But there is much more behind why Br ‘Hidden Mate’ is book one in Jen L。 Grey’s The Wolf Born Trilogy。Sadie wants nothing more than to have some freedom and space for her father and pack。 There’s one condition， she and her best friend Roxy can attend college as long as Brock goes with her。 Sadie and Roxy just want to have some fun and learn something while they attend college， but having Brock following and watching their every move and reporting to her dad isn’t going to be as fun as she hoped。 But there is much more behind why Brock had to go with her and when Sadie finds out the truth things are going to change drastically for her。This was such a ride。 If this is any indication on how great this series is going to be then sign me up。 I was hooked tooth and nail on every word。 But be warned this had a major cliffhanger that you are going to scream and shout about。 But I promise that the lead up to the ending is so worth it。 Sadie seems a little timid and naive with what the world of supernaturals and humans are really like， being as she has been her told her whole life that being strong is what is important。 But the more she hangs around her new friends Egan， Lillith and Katherine she learns that the world is nothing like what her father Tyler has been telling her。 Now I’m not saying that Sadie was completely oblivious to the real world and was completely brainwashed by Tyler， cause she wasn’t。 She just seemed to believe that supernaturals were superior to humans。 But when a certain human can’t leave her head she seems to open her eyes up more and see the lies for what they are。 Sadie’s character grows a backbone by the end of this book and I can’t wait to see her character continually grow in the next book。I loved Roxy， Katherine and Lillith’s banter and witty commentary throughout this book。 Egan is a mystery that I’m looking forward to discovering。 Donovan and Axle are just what the girls need。 I am Super excited about this series。 。。。more
