As a part of Scarlett St。 Clair’s Street Team I was honored to get an ARC of A Touch of Malice。Malice is。。。 every single thing I wanted and more。 It was sweet and spicy。 Beautiful and a little bit heartbreaking。 I absolutely love how much Hades and Persephone have grown as their own people but also as a couple。 Seriously #goals。 Sephy has grown into such a strong individual， and I’m so proud of how far she has come。 Y’all are in for a real treat。

I'm a bit afraid of Chaos， to be honest *nervous laughter*But before Chaos， there's Malice。 Going into reading this review， I hope you've read Darkness and Ruin because there might be mild spoilers for them。Things have become a bit worse - that's putting it mildly - what with Demeter practically declaring war on Persephone and Hades， for them being together。 Natural disasters happen， lives are lost。 People are starting to hate the gods again and riling each other up against them。 Hate groups are I'm a bit afraid of Chaos， to be honest *nervous laughter*But before Chaos， there's Malice。 Going into reading this review， I hope you've read Darkness and Ruin because there might be mild spoilers for them。Things have become a bit worse - that's putting it mildly - what with Demeter practically declaring war on Persephone and Hades， for them being together。 Natural disasters happen， lives are lost。 People are starting to hate the gods again and riling each other up against them。 Hate groups are going strong。Persephone is trying to wade through it all and， well， drama's bound to happen， her relationships - especially with Hades - are to be tested。 The latter mostly because Hades is still the mysterious mofo that frustrates the heck out of me。 So I'm eagerly awaiting for his POV because we will find out everything we were wondering about， while reading Malice。What I really love about this series， these books， this journey that we see through Persephone's eyes， that it became so complex and so much richer， than it was in the beginning， in Darkness。Imagine Darkness being a seed that was planted and now， Malice is this big and bushy gorgeous plant， ready to bloom - which is what Chaos will be。 The heartaches， the loss， the growth， the dynamics between the characters - all of these play major roles in Persephone's arc and the story。Through it all， Persephone is also learning how to be a goddess， basically。 So it's a bit too much to juggle but I think she does a good job。 She makes the best of what she has。All in all， this book deals with a lot more than I mentioned here - consider my review the cliffnotes of Malice。So if you've loved Darkness and Ruin， definitely read Malice。I voluntarily read an early copy and am giving it 5 stars。 。。。more

Where do I begin？ There’s so much to say， but so little space。 But first， one of my favorite quotes from A Touch of Malice （spoiler free of course just like the whole review）: “Oh， darling。 How you challenge me。” Hades can wreck me body and soul and I would thank him。 FYI。 This is not YA。 This is for mature audiences only。 There are plenty of spice level 5/5 scenes， and much more adult scenes that happen。 I went into this read guessing certain events to happen in the ending。 And I was wrong。 Com Where do I begin？ There’s so much to say， but so little space。 But first， one of my favorite quotes from A Touch of Malice （spoiler free of course just like the whole review）: “Oh， darling。 How you challenge me。” Hades can wreck me body and soul and I would thank him。 FYI。 This is not YA。 This is for mature audiences only。 There are plenty of spice level 5/5 scenes， and much more adult scenes that happen。 I went into this read guessing certain events to happen in the ending。 And I was wrong。 Completely and utterly。 The ending destroyed me。 I sat staring at a blank wall for about an hour after I finished and had no idea what to do with my life。 It was so well done， so emotional， and such a great ending to keep you wanting more。 I’m counting down until I can get my hands on the next book， that’s how amazing this ending was。 The whole book actually。 Between Persephone character development， which was so well written with her maturity， decision making， and self realization of her own worth， and Hades who we got to see more of his loving side along with his pure god like self， Malice was a book I couldn’t put down。The plot line built up， all the fine details accruing together to formulate into a magnificent， killer ending。 Everything was well thought out and laid out to ride along side the Ancient Greek myths but with a modern twist that Scarlett St。 Clair knows how to do brilliantly。 And now my favorite character has been solidified because of this book， Hermès， who brought laughter and light hearted moments to some serious moments。 Another part I loved about the story was how Scarlett St。 Clair approached sexual assault。 She wrote it in a way of strength and I’m thankful it was portrayed that way。 Well done。 Plus those seggsy scenes？ I might need to go to church after reading those， or maybe a temple to worship Lord Hades and Lady Persephone。 They made butterflies erupt， which for me as a romance reader doesn’t occur often。 But the only reason I gave this 4 stars （4。5 if good reads would allow） is because of one phrase that kept popping up quite often and that was: “are you well？” I wish it was replaced every so often with something else， but other than that this book is MESMERIZING。 If you love a modern Greek re telling mixed with spice， humor， self worth， and strength along with sadness this book is for you。 I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a fresh take on the old myths。 。。。more

11/19/2020I just finished all the other books and I’m wow I’m excited for this book！！ The premise sounds so interesting and it sounds like there will be a ton of interaction with all the Gods， which is my favorite！ I can’t wait for Persephone to finally embrace her Divinity and her magic in front of everyone。 But I swear to god Scarlett， if you touch a hair on Hecate’s or Hermes’ heads， I will send you to Tartarus。 I WILL NOT HAVE ANOTHER LEXA。
