Summary

Will Jorah have a chance to fall in love with the person his soul is longing for, or will the horrors of the world keep them apart?

When I was fourteen, I was sucked through a portal to another realm—the land of the fae—and forced to live there for three years。 Crazy, right? Welcome to my world。 Being an Ellwood means being pulled into the craziest and most dangerous situations while trying to protect the people around you。 But I wouldn’t change it for anything。

For years, every time I visit the land of the fae, something seems to pull me toward the north。 Naturally, it’s the most dangerous place in all of Faela, so my family forbids me to travel there。 But now I know something is wrong, and I find myself unable to ignore the call I feel deep down in my soul。 The peaceful feeling I normally get from the north is gone, replaced with nothing but fear and sorrow。

I know in my heart that the pull I’m feeling is from my viramore—my soulmate—and I’m afraid I might be too late to save him。 If I do make it there in time, what kind of condition will I find him in? I can feel that he’s hurt, grieving, and simply waiting to fade away, and I’m too far to help。 He’s in danger, I know he is, and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep him safe from the evil creatures hunting him。

Jorah is a 107K word novel and the fourth book in The Brinnswick Chronicles。 It can be read as a standalone novel, although it’s better to read the series in order to get a better feel for the characters and the larger story arc。 This MM paranormal romance contains explicit material and is intended for mature adults 18 years old and older。

Amazing, all the feels! I already love this series and am so glad Jorah’s story is here and loved his soulmate Laiken as well。 It was as wonderful as I expected and managed to bring laughter, smiles, sighs, and yes even a few tears from me-which is saying a lot because I don’t generally cry when reading pretty much anything。 Not so hear with a couple of instances that just grabbed my heart and didn’t let go。 From start to finish though it was just excellent。 Magic, humor, love, sweet heat, and u Amazing, all the feels! I have no words I am so blown away by this book。 I love the world that Michele Notaro has created from the very first book in the Ellwood Chronicles this has become one of my favorite places to visit。 In Jorah a new world has been added within the “Ellwood World” and it is spectacular。 Jorah: Oh sweet Jorah we have all had the pleasure of seeing him grow up and become the amazing man he is。 Caring, loving, protective, and so strong。 Laiken: Wow。 The tragedy the poor soul has experienced is heart I have no words I am so blown away by this book。 I love the world that Michele Notaro has created from the very first book in the Ellwood Chronicles this has become one of my favorite places to visit。 In Jorah a new world has been added within the “Ellwood World” and it is spectacular。 Jorah: Oh sweet Jorah we have all had the pleasure of seeing him grow up and become the amazing man he is。 Caring, loving, protective, and so strong。 Laiken: Wow。 The tragedy the poor soul has experienced is heart crushing yet not only is he strong but also one of the sweetest and loving characters。 Individually Jorah and Laiken are amazing Together the are complete。This book will rip your heart out in the first few pages (and many other times) but will put it back together as you go all in on this amazing journey。 I never want this series to end because I don’t want to leave this world and these characters that feel like family! 。。。more

Side note - another stunning cover! I received an ARC and am happily giving a review。 。。。more

Michele Notaro knocks it out of the park with Jorah, book four in The Brinswick Chronicles。 The book begins approximately 10 years from the point when Jorah, Thayer, and Basil took on the Three magic。 Jorah is all grown up and having visions of his viramore。 Jorah has always felt a pull to the north in Faela and now we find out why。 From the very beginning, readers embark on a story of perseverance。 Seriously, the prologue alone brought tears to my eyes。 I love that this story has glimpses into Michele Notaro knocks it out of the park with Jorah, book four in The Brinswick Chronicles。 The book begins approximately 10 years from the point when Jorah, Thayer, and Basil took on the Three magic。 Jorah is all grown up and having visions of his viramore。 Jorah has always felt a pull to the north in Faela and now we find out why。 From the very beginning, readers embark on a story of perseverance。 Seriously, the prologue alone brought tears to my eyes。 I love that this story has glimpses into the lives of Jorah’s family members that we have come to know and love from previous books。 Revisiting the Ellwood Coven is one of my favorite things to do and they prove how important it is to have family fighting by your side。 This is one of those books that will tear you apart and then put you back together in the very best way (more than once!!!)。 Jorah and his viramore are so very deserving of finding love and each other。 We see a lot more of Talon in this book too。 Now, I am not so patiently waiting for Talon’s story even if it means the end of the Brinswick Chronicles。 。。。more

I almost never read the Brinnswick Chronicles, because Notaro's The Enchanter's Heart depicted the war in Brinnswick in a heartbreakingly so very real way。 Hopeless, despairing, the Ellwoods and their allies, losing。 Thayer, book one in the Brinnswick Chronicles brought an end to the grieving of the Ellwood family。 And brought back the fun and the snark that was missing in the last Ellwood Tale。Does Notaro continue to put her characters in mortal peril? Of course。 And after she killed and resurrected Ailin and then tortured and nearly killed Seb, I guess I should have been more prepared。 But the scenes of Jorah in mortal peril had me sobbing。 The love and sacrifice of his family and mate。。。As with all these books, family is a key component。 And acceptance。 And the unwavering love the Ellwoods have for each other。Jorah wasn't an easy book。 But it was a compelling, absorbing read。 The fight scenes were inventive and intense。 The interludes where Jorah and Laiken get to explore their love; sweet。An excellent book, a great series。 I'm looking forward to/dreading what she'll do to him for Talon's book。I received an ARC of this book and this is my agreed upon reveiw。 。。。more

I've been not-so-patiently waiting for Jorah's book to come out for months, and I'm happy to report that his story was even better than I'd anticipated! That heart-wrenching prologue might have made me sick to my stomach with pain and grief, but it also left me desperate to know how Jorah and his viramore would find each other at last。 Their journey wasn't easy--in fact I think this was one of the most emotionally devastating stories in this series so far--but the Ellwood family reminded me time I've been not-so-patiently waiting for Jorah's book to come out for months, and I'm happy to report that his story was even better than I'd anticipated! That heart-wrenching prologue might have made me sick to my stomach with pain and grief, but it also left me desperate to know how Jorah and his viramore would find each other at last。 Their journey wasn't easy--in fact I think this was one of the most emotionally devastating stories in this series so far--but the Ellwood family reminded me time and time again of why I should never lose hope。 From the moment Jorah wrapped his arms around Laiken, I knew he was going to do everything in his power to keep him safe。 Though Laiken had to work through significant trauma just to trust that he was safe with Jorah and his family, seeing how kindly he was treated filled my heart with a soft, happy feeling that only grew as Laiken started to come out of his shell。 The hurt/comfort themes were strong throughout this romance, but not overwhelming to the point where I felt hopeless about the future of Jorah and Laiken。 I actually loved seeing a slower start to Jorah and Laiken's romance because it made me feel like they'd bonded emotionally before ever getting their bodies involved。For as soft and sweet as Jorah and Laiken's romance was, the overall storyline was still packed with plenty of heart-pounding, unexpected moments。 More than once I felt my heart race with fear that Laiken or one of the Ellwood coven had gotten themselves into a situation they couldn't get out of alive。 Michele really knows how to write a compelling action plotline, and she proved it with every unexpectedly dangerous encounter this family had with the drow。 Despite how chaotic and frightening certain moments in this book were, it was also really exciting to see the family come together to protect Jorah and Laiken。 That's not to say that either man was helpless to defend themselves--watching Jorah and Laiken utilize their unique powers had me in awe of their strength--but it was amazing to see how united the Ellwoods were around anyone who posed a threat。 At the end of the day, Jorah and Laiken showed me that with true love and support from an amazing family, there's no obstacle that can't be overcome。**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book。 This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions。  。。。more
