Summary

I know how this story ends。 And it’s NOT with the best friends falling in love。

Even if Chase checks all my boxes--and then some。

He’s the perfect guy, and he deserves the perfect girl。 Which, to be clear, is not me。

I knew one day I would have to let him go。 I just didn’t know it would be so soon。

Or that my traitorous friend would be the one setting him up with a string of potential girlfriends。

Now, I have an impossible choice to make。。。

I can watch Chase find love with someone else。

Or I can throw my hat in the ring and face my biggest fear, one not even he knows。

One that might make him run for the Texas hill country。

But if I don’t make a play, I might lose my best friend and my only chance at love。。。

I absolutely LOVED this book。 I've loved the whole series, but I loved Harper and Chase's story。 I loved her journey to discover herself and understand herself better。 They both do so much for each other。 It's so lovely and gave me warm fuzzy feelings。 Chase is so patient, gentle, loving, and kind。 You kind of want to knock them both on the head and exclaim, "Why did it take you both 6 years to get here!" Chase & Harper - best friends to moreI’m so glad Chase and Harper got their HEA。 They needed a painful wake up call to get past just being friends。 Chase is so thoughtful in his care of Harper, and Harper comes to understand more of who she is and that she too is worthy of love。

Lovely! I’m not ashamed to say, I read all of this in a day。。。To be honest all of the books in this series were short (and compelling) enough to be read in a day! Anyways, I loved the relationship between Chase and Harper。 They have a lovely romance that is rooted in friendship, understanding for each other, and thoughtfulness。 Get yourself a guy who rescues baby goats and shaves his beard for you

This book was a sweet, romantic comedy involving Harper and Chase, who are best friends。 They both like each other but do not want to ruin their friendship。 I found it interesting how much Harper's family wanted Chase to lay his cards on the table with Harper。 They did not know that he and Harper had one date back in college that did not go so well。It is also a story about Harper coming to terms with having Asperger's syndrome, which is part of the Autism spectrum。 I found it interesting that sh This book was a sweet, romantic comedy involving Harper and Chase, who are best friends。 They both like each other but do not want to ruin their friendship。 I found it interesting how much Harper's family wanted Chase to lay his cards on the table with Harper。 They did not know that he and Harper had one date back in college that did not go so well。It is also a story about Harper coming to terms with having Asperger's syndrome, which is part of the Autism spectrum。 I found it interesting that she did not like the feel of Chase's beard when they were kissing。 I thought the camping scene was really funny and it was fun catching up with Kyle at the end of the book。 I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。 。。。more

I LOVED it!!!Okay, so first thing you need to know about this book is that it is amazing。 I absolutely adore Harper and Chase (Chase is definitely one of my new favorite fictional people)。 Their story-- especially Harper's personal journey of self-discovery, self-awareness, and self-acceptance--was poignant and relatable。 So Harper isn't neurotypical, and her self-consciousness and self-doubt about it are the main barrier she has to get past in order to pursue a relationship with her best friend I LOVED it!!!Okay, so first thing you need to know about this book is that it is amazing。 I absolutely adore Harper and Chase (Chase is definitely one of my new favorite fictional people)。 Their story-- especially Harper's personal journey of self-discovery, self-awareness, and self-acceptance--was poignant and relatable。 So Harper isn't neurotypical, and her self-consciousness and self-doubt about it are the main barrier she has to get past in order to pursue a relationship with her best friend, Chase。 Chase, for his part, loves Harper exactly as she is and doesn't really understand her hang ups。 Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and it was SO WELL DONE with Harper and Chase。 Sometimes, with friends to lovers, I feel like the barriers keeping the friends apart feel a little contrived, but definitely not in this one。 It's so understandable and relatable。 As a neurotypical person, I am not the best judge of how "authentic" Harper's experiences are, but to me Harper and her experiences felt very real and authentic and I think a good representation of how someone with Asperger's MAY experience some things。 But anyway, there are plenty of other things to love about this book。 1。 The side characters。 The five friends this series is about are always fun to see (if I'm being honest, Abby is my most favorite as a side character because she is so hilarious and quirky)。 Harper's family is so sweet too (please please please can we get a series about Harper's brothers????)。 2。 The humor。 Plenty of awkward and weird situations to chuckle about in this book。 Let me just say I didn't know heels on wheels were a thing and they sound terrifying。 3。 Chase。 I know I already mentioned him, but he's seriously the best。 And Harper deserves him hands down。 They're great together。Anyway, if you're a fan of sweet romcoms, this one's sure to please!Side note to the author: could we PLEASE see Chase's Google Doc? I think you know which one I'm talking about。 ;) 。。。more

"Let's just skip the formality and move on to the good part" Harper has a problem but she doesn't understand what it is or why, she just knows that she's broken - & Chase is the best & deserves better。 I've read many friends-to-lovers tropes, but this one is pretty unique - and totally believable! I have a son on the spectrum (he has dyspraxia which is very similar to Aspergers), & the author did a fantastic job of keeping it real, respectful - and the most difficult - relatable for readers who "Let's just skip the formality and move on to the good part" Harper has a problem but she doesn't understand what it is or why, she just knows that she's broken - & Chase is the best & deserves better。 I've read many friends-to-lovers tropes, but this one is pretty unique - and totally believable! This book had all the wonderful things that make Ms。 St。 Clair’s books so unique and relevant。 You have hilarious situations, heart-wrenching decisions, witty dialogue, excellent characters and loads of swoony romance。 While this book is a bit deeper than the others in the series so far, I found that this book connected with me really well。 I felt all of the anxiety and angst of Harper trying to be what she thought others wanted and the incredible relief when she finally accepted that she is worthy of acceptance just the way she is。 I also felt the pain of Chase as he tried to figure out how to love Harper best and his joy when he finally got the chance。 Plus, the reappearance of Abby and Sam often in this book was a marvelous addition that led to some funny conversations and some zany happenings。 I don’t want to give away too much of the fun or swoony parts but let me just say that I officially have no desire to go camping any time soon…。。unless it’s with a super-handsome guide like Chase。 I will certainly be recommending this book very highly to everyone and hope that they will enjoy this delightful book as much as I did。 I’m so flippin’ excited to see what Ms。 St。 Clair will do with Sam in the next story – hopefully out soon!!I received this complimentary ARC from the author in order to provide a fair and honest review。 I will receive no fiscal compensation for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own。 。。。more

I enjoyed this story another 5 star form this series。When I first started reading Chase & Harper's story I didn't know if I was like this story because I knew this story was going to deal with Harper finding out she was on autism spectrum in some kinda way and I don't know how Harper was gonna handle herself diagnosis but even though she thought chase deserved a better women then herself, she never turned her diagnosis into a pity party。 In my opinion the way Mrs Emma wrote Harper was perfection I enjoyed this story another 5 star form this series。When I first started reading Chase & Harper's story I didn't know if I was like this story because I knew this story was going to deal with Harper finding out she was on autism spectrum in some kinda way and I don't know how Harper was gonna handle herself diagnosis but even though she thought chase deserved a better women then herself, she never turned her diagnosis into a pity party。 In my opinion the way Mrs Emma wrote Harper was perfection and she dealt with topic of autism spectrum flawlessly ( because she never said or implied that one size fits all)I empathized for chase more then I useally do with the hero of the story。 I want spoil the story so all is I want/ need a guy like Chase。Will I continue with this series? Save the baby goats! The book: So you have these two people who very obviously love each other, but aren’t together。 One’s master plan is to get together。 The other’s plan is to run away and hide from getting together。 Literally。 What is not to love! This book had a really different feel to it compared to the rest of the series。 While this still has a lot of humor in it and falling in love, it’s more of a self discovery drama to me。 Now, normally I give dramas a hard pass, but being that I really Save the baby goats! The book: So you have these two people who very obviously love each other, but aren’t together。 One’s master plan is to get together。 The other’s plan is to run away and hide from getting together。 Literally。 What is not to love! This book had a really different feel to it compared to the rest of the series。 While this still has a lot of humor in it and falling in love, it’s more of a self discovery drama to me。 Now, normally I give dramas a hard pass, but being that I really have loved the series so far I gave it a chance。 What saved my heart from breaking for them (only in parts! I assure you there is a happy ending) was the snarky humor and sarcasm of Harper and Chase’s willingness to face any dragons that Harper kept to protect herself from getting hurt。 This lightened up the story and made me want to be there on her journey of understanding her quirks and personal challenges。 The writer did a great job of translating into words the overwhelmed feeling Harper sometimes faced。 Although I have never experienced this it made me feel like I could understand walking in her shoes。 It did have me wanting to search the web for more info about Harper’s issues。 Gave me a new outlook and appreciation for the struggles some have to face。4。5 starsRating: PG, clean 。。。more

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion。 Another great book in this series by Emma St Clair。 In this one she explores a woman with sensory challenges and does a great job。 It makes you think about issues in a different way, and she incorporates the challenges she faces and how she overcomes along with her best friend who will do almost anything to help her。 The plot with its twists and turns is interesting, and I would recommend reading this book。

This book took me on an emotional whirlwind—laughing, crying, angst, anger, satisfaction, etc。 It was so worth it though。❤️Harper and Chase’s love story is so tender that they are one of my new favorite couples。 From them, I recognized that I can be kinder and more aware of those I love。

Amazing romcom read。 I absolutely adore this series。 Each one is special in its own way but this one is now my favorite。 The MC Harper is a beautiful woman with undiagnosed on the spectrum disability which she’s managed to control over the most part。 Chase is the guy devoted and madly in love with her。 He knows her quirks inside out and knows they would be perfect together。 So he just doesn’t understand why she keeps pushing him away romantically。 Such a great beautiful story。

I really loved the way the author took the best friends to more trope and made it feel fresh and unique and really something all its own。 The two have both been secretly in love with each other for years, but Chase doesn't dare tip the scales for fear of losing Harper all together, while Harper has some self-discovery and acceptance to deal with before she is ready to really let Chase in。 Can I just say WOW! The author did an amazing job of staying true to the Harper we've been introduced to in the other three books while revealing something very deep and personal that Harper was hiding。 I laughed, I swooned, and I teared up reading this book。 It's raw and real and fun and sweet。 I completely recommend it! Also, I loved the side characters。 Harper’s family endeared themselves to me so quickly。 I’d love to see more of their stories。 (*wink wink author, Harper’s brothers would be great heroes*)This book does deal with neurodivergence and as someone who has people in my life on the Spectrum, I thought the author did a beautiful job with the topic, being sensitive and informative。 I would consider this a clean romance。 There are some swoon worthy kisses and some innuendo, but I felt it was actually very respectfully and tastefully mentioned and I have no concerns recommending it。 I received an advance reader copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

Be still my beating heart! Let me just start by saying that friends to lovers is not my favorite trope - not even in my top 3。 After this book, I am going to have to reconsider that。 Chase and Harper have been best friends for six years。。。which is almost the same amount of time that they have been in love with each other without actually telling each other how they feel。 Both have reasons for keeping quiet and their journey of learning to trust each other with their feelings - including Harper's Be still my beating heart! I was so invested in these characters that I legit cried。 There are so many funny moments that made me laugh even as I swooned over Chase's determination and his sensitivity to Harper's needs。 With every book in this series, I keep thinking it's my new favorite。。。until I go back and re-read parts of a previous book。 I guess I just need to say that my favorite is whichever one I am currently reading because I LOVE them all and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys sweet, hilarious rom coms。 I received a complimentary copy of the book but a positive review was not required。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I’m going to try to keep my break down of Harper semi-vague so that you can experience this alongside her。Harper is on her journey of understanding who she is, how her body processes things and what she wants in life。 She has always been “different” but didn’t have a name for it。 She went through the struggle of the what/why she responds and processed things the way that she does。 The knowing something is “off” as she often put it, but wasn’t ready for all the info yet, really resonated with me。 I’m going to try to keep my break down of Harper semi-vague so that you can experience this alongside her。Harper is on her journey of understanding who she is, how her body processes things and what she wants in life。 She has always been “different” but didn’t have a name for it。 She went through the struggle of the what/why she responds and processed things the way that she does。 The knowing something is “off” as she often put it, but wasn’t ready for all the info yet, really resonated with me。 Her strength and vulnerability were both so encouraging and admirable。 I want to be Harper when I grow up 🤩 Chase was just。。。 wow。 He was everything that a (mostly) healthy significant other should be。 I say mostly because no person is perfect, and I’m glad he had his moments of not doing the smart thing (trying to make Harper jealous) and had his own self doubts。 Even with those very real and human flaws, he still was so very supportive and nurturing to Harper。 I’ve read so many romance novels that have a main character that throws up some major red flags and unhealthy behavior。 Chase is a “book boyfriend” that women can see as something they should look for in real life。 Not someone who puts them down, is selfish, doesn’t believe in them, etc。 Chase was the opposite of those things and that’s what every woman should look for in a relationship。 Someone who lifts you up, sacrifices out of love and humility, and appreciates who you are- warts and all。 All of the characters in this book were everything I could’ve hoped for。 Sam and her scheme wasn’t the most healthy thing ever but we also know that’s just part of who she is 🙃 but Tank, Abby, Pat, EVERYONE。。。 well, they all are who I would want in my corner in life。 I’d like to think that Harper, Tank, the brothers and Chase are all going through therapy together to figure out how best to support Harper throughout her life。 Overall, this book was a major winner for me。 It made me feel connected right from the get-go, the rollercoaster of emotions was definitely there, laughs and silly banter were prevalent and the sweetness of true love made this romance a success。 。。。more
