Summary

When a fishing boat is wrecked off the treacherous North Sea coast and the body of a young woman washes up on the beach beside the iconic ‘Marsden Rock’, DCI Ryan cannot ignore the call to duty。

With one already dead and more human cargo missing from the wreckage, Ryan and his team race to find the remaining souls — before it’s too late, and their investigation turns to murder。 As they uncover the seedy underbelly of Tyneside, cold and calculated opportunism clashes with the rock-hard arm of the Law, but there’s one thing that proves stronger than stone…

A good story line with lots of twists and turns really enjoyed the discriptions of the areas and development of the characters

Wow!Fantastic series but this is especially outstanding, with a shocking ending! It is emotionally intense because the subject matter is human trafficking! Fast paced, many characters, many subplots, many diversions and extremely intense holds the reader in thrall! Fantastic, nonstop read!

The Rock Dc I Ryan MysteryWhat an absolutely brilliant read this was I have to say one of the best so far in this series

Another great DCI Ryan read。With a cast of characters that have become beloved by many readers, a touch of North East humour to lighten the dark storyline set in an area local to my home, this is another great case for DCI Ryan。 It was interesting to find out about places I had not heard of before like Spotees Cave in Roker。 All of the Ryan books are set around the North East and make you want to explore the area。

A fantastic read from beginning to end

IncredibleA difficult subject matter handled, as always, with care and dignity。 It's not sugar-coated but neither is it too graphic。 The emotions are recognised and respected, providing an insight into a world most of us know little about, thankfully。 IncredibleA difficult subject matter handled, as always, with care and dignity。 It's not sugar-coated but neither is it too graphic。 The emotions are recognised and respected, providing an insight into a world most of us know little about, thankfully。 。。。more
