It was a little slow going but after a while it did pick up! I really liked the different parts and perspectives of each character! It was well written for sure

IM SO SADDDS!!!!! I’m in the minority, but I found this book kinda boring。 I liked the characters a lot and I enjoyed the background we got on each character, but the action was sooo long and for some reason the world building didn’t work for me。 I could hardly picture a single scene that was occurring during the heist。 That made it hard to read because I was literally so confused, but i’m also a little dumb so that’s probably it。 I’m shocked I didn’t like this book and so sad too, I have the se IM SO SADDDS!!!!! If you like character driven stories with some crazy action then you will love Six of Crows。 I’m not normally one to enjoy stories with intense action but I thought it was adventurous and crazy enough to keep me from putting the book down。 I adored the characters。 Each one was so unique and I loved all of them。 Especially Jesper I literally love him so much。 This book made me want to dive more into the Grishaverse and I’m so excited to eventually watch the show。 Cannot wait to read Crooked Kingd If you like character driven stories with some crazy action then you will love Six of Crows。 I’m not normally one to enjoy stories with intense action but I thought it was adventurous and crazy enough to keep me from putting the book down。 I adored the characters。 Each one was so unique and I loved all of them。 Especially Jesper I literally love him so much。 This book made me want to dive more into the Grishaverse and I’m so excited to eventually watch the show。 Cannot wait to read Crooked Kingdom!! 。。。more

On re reading this book after reading the shadow and bone series I have SO much more love for the characters especially Nina and Matthias, on the first time reading SOC i hated Matthias I thought he was such a boring character, but the he actually ends up having one of the best story lines in the series。 As ever my favourite character is Wylan I found having him interact with the other characters made for a interesting perspective on how someone with less experienced as crow would feel。 I am a l On re reading this book after reading the shadow and bone series I have SO much more love for the characters especially Nina and Matthias, on the first time reading SOC i hated Matthias I thought he was such a boring character, but the he actually ends up having one of the best story lines in the series。 As ever my favourite character is Wylan I found having him interact with the other characters made for a interesting perspective on how someone with less experienced as crow would feel。 I am a little afraid going into the next book, the emotional fallout will be real 。。。more

I kept seeing this book on Tik Tok and decided to read it。 Some parts had me very hooked on, but overall I was lost for the most part or confused。 It took me 3 weeks to get through it。 Overall, I wouldn't say I hated it, but it wasn't my favorite book。 In my opinion, it is a little overhyped。 I personally feel that Shadow & Bone is much better。 :) I kept seeing this book on Tik Tok and decided to read it。 Some parts had me very hooked on, but overall I was lost for the most part or confused。 It took me 3 weeks to get through it。 Overall, I wouldn't say I hated it, but it wasn't my favorite book。 In my opinion, it is a little overhyped。 I personally feel that Shadow & Bone is much better。 :) 。。。more

I love the crows。 They are such a dynamic group and you’ll be rooting for them from the beginning。 I loved the Shadow & Bone trilogy but this book quickly became my new favorite。 The characters are stronger, the scenes are more well-developed, and the plot is more gripping。 The relationships between the characters are great and Bardugo manages to smoothly switch between POVs without losing the power of the scenes。 Like the S&B books, we are following one main plot line but the build up and execu I love the crows。 They are such a dynamic group and you’ll be rooting for them from the beginning。 I loved the Shadow & Bone trilogy but this book quickly became my new favorite。 The characters are stronger, the scenes are more well-developed, and the plot is more gripping。 The relationships between the characters are great and Bardugo manages to smoothly switch between POVs without losing the power of the scenes。 Like the S&B books, we are following one main plot line but the build up and execution are much more interesting。 The way Bardugo gradually reveals backstories and little details make the story that much more powerful。 You’ll be falling in love with this badass band of misfits before you know it。 。。。more

A good book! I enjoyed the characters and found the story interesting。 I thought it would wrap up a certain way and it did not! 9/10I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to like this book, and I only read it because I loved the shadow and none trilogy。 My least favorite “trope” is parentless teens in a gang who are exceptionally skilled and killing and being bad。 And i like it even less if it involves gambling。 And even less if it takes place at a port with water and boats。 I’m not a huge fan of heists, either (in books or in movies)And yet, somehow Six of Crows had all of these things I don’t love, and I loved it。 There wa 9/10I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to like this book, and I only read it because I loved the shadow and none trilogy。 My least favorite “trope” is parentless teens in a gang who are exceptionally skilled and killing and being bad。 And i like it even less if it involves gambling。 And even less if it takes place at a port with water and boats。 I’m not a huge fan of heists, either (in books or in movies)And yet, somehow Six of Crows had all of these things I don’t love, and I loved it。 There was so much character development that it was hard not to start caring about each of the characters。 The descriptions were vivid and gruesome (sometimes too much so)。 And the relationships between the characters were shown/described with such depth and feeling that you just couldn’t help b he get involved。 And the plot itself was full of intrigue and suspense, but also emotion。 Add in the little bit of magic, and it was just wonderful。 Great book! 。。。more
