I’ve tried to like Adrian Savage， the mercurial frontman for Fugitive Summer， while serving as his band’s opening act on tour。 We’re stuck together for three months， after all。 And I’m well aware I’m lucky to be here。
But it’s proved impossible。 He’s far too rude and dismissive a guy to get along with。 And way too good at getting under my skin。 In fact， at this point， I think it’s fair to say I downright hate his guts。
Global thirst trap that he is， though， I’m finding it extremely difficult not to want to jump Savage’s bones， despite how much he infuriates me。 I hate myself for it。 But my body is going rogue on me。 It doesn’t matter， though。 I’m determined to resist him。
In fact， what I’ve decided is that， as long as I’m here and stuck with him， I’m not only going to give Savage the sound tongue lashing nobody else around here has the balls to deliver， I’m going to bring that bad boy to his knees。

This is such a fantastic enemies to lover story。 I am a huge fan of Lauren’s writing and she has done absolute justice 。 This is a perfect balance of light moments which makes you laugh out loud and crackling chemistry。 Savage and Layla were brilliant I loved their back and forth banter 。 Can’t wait for the second book 。

I can’t even begin to say how much I enjoyed this book。 It’s one of those that you can happily keep reading and before you know it you’ve reached the end in one day。From the opening scene I was hooked。 It was so much fun getting to experience a scene from so many different points of view as I’ve been reading the recent books by Lauren Rowe。 This time it was from the perspective of Adrian Savage and Laila Fitzgerald。 And I honestly loved them so much。Savage was known as a player but getting insid I can’t even begin to say how much I enjoyed this book。 It’s one of those that you can happily keep reading and before you know it you’ve reached the end in one day。From the opening scene I was hooked。 It was so much fun getting to experience a scene from so many different points of view as I’ve been reading the recent books by Lauren Rowe。 This time it was from the perspective of Adrian Savage and Laila Fitzgerald。 And I honestly loved them so much。Savage was known as a player but getting inside his head in his chapters showed me what a good guy he really was。 Even if Laila made him crazy。 Hilariously crazy。 Laila was no different and I loved her just as much。 She was such a fun， bubbly character that was so easy to like。 In some ways her and Savage were so different and yet in others so similar。 They were both hard working， family loving musicians who get under each others skin。 It was a great dynamic。 I loved the back and forth between them。 And when the story came to the end I was not only so thrilled by what I read but also completely amped for what was to come。 I’m happy I don’t have long to wait。 I need the conclusion to Savage and Laila’s story right away。 。。。more

I don't think that Lauren Rowe has ever written anything that I haven't loved。 She is an exceptional storyteller， and I absolutely adore her and this world that she has created。 The writing is spot-on， the characters are awesome。 Savage and Laila are amazing together， their connection palpable and sizzling， captivating the readers/listeners from begining to end。 The dialogue is brilliant， loaded with humor and quick-banter throughout。The narration by Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan is fabulous。 They I don't think that Lauren Rowe has ever written anything that I haven't loved。 She is an exceptional storyteller， and I absolutely adore her and this world that she has created。 The writing is spot-on， the characters are awesome。 Savage and Laila are amazing together， their connection palpable and sizzling， captivating the readers/listeners from begining to end。 The dialogue is brilliant， loaded with humor and quick-banter throughout。The narration by Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan is fabulous。 They connect the audience with the characters and really make both characters really likeable。 The enemies to lovers trope is not my favorite so I was pleasantly surprised with how much I thoroughly enjoyed and loved the first book in this duet。 Whiile this book stayed more on the side of enemies then to lovers。。。 I find myself dying to continue on to find out what happens in the second book！ I'm also not a huge fan of duets usually because I don't like waiting to find out what happens next but Lauren Rowe was so sweet to release these books within 4 days of each other。 Long enough to build anticipation but short enough that I didn't lose interest and I will be grabbing it at midnight once it is released！ I also can't forget to mention how much I absolutely love love love love love love the song， Hate Sex High！ The song has been on repeat all weekend in anticipation for the release of Falling into Love With You。 Lauren Rowe fan for life！ 。。。more

I’m sad to say I did not enjoy this as much as I’ve enjoyed Lauren Rowe’s other books。 I was bored the first half of the story then it got a little better。 The focus on the characters looks， lips， abs was a bit much。 There was no substance to the characters at all。 This is the first of a duet so maybe I will like the second book more。 This was just ok。

Obsessed！I can see why Lauren said she was consumed when writing this book because I was consumed while reading it！I did not want to put this down。 This has all the angsty goodness of enemies to lovers。 It has a playboy that no longer wants to play but settle down。 A playgirl that likes to bring the playboys to their knees。 And friends that can see the game these two are playing and help bring them together。I absolutely love Lauren’s writing and can’t wait for part 2！

I love Lauren Rowe and I read each and every book she ever wrote。 I enjoy her writing style， humor， and the amazing characters she gives life to。 I was pretty excited when I first heard about The Hate-Love Duet and as always Lauren Rowe didn’t disappoint。 Fugitive Summer is one of River Records’ popular bands but then again is there a band or a singer the man with Midas touch， Reed Rivers， touches and not successful。 Adrian Savage is the lead singer of Fugitive Summer。 He is a sexy， talented， an I love Lauren Rowe and I read each and every book she ever wrote。 I enjoy her writing style， humor， and the amazing characters she gives life to。 I was pretty excited when I first heard about The Hate-Love Duet and as always Lauren Rowe didn’t disappoint。 Fugitive Summer is one of River Records’ popular bands but then again is there a band or a singer the man with Midas touch， Reed Rivers， touches and not successful。 Adrian Savage is the lead singer of Fugitive Summer。 He is a sexy， talented， and moody musician。 He also has trust issues and it is really hard to get into his inner circle。 Other than his bandmates， Kendrick， Kai， Ruby， and Titus， he only has his grandmother and cousin Sasha。 It was amazing how loyal， supportive， protective， and dedicated he is to the people he cares about the most。 During one of Reed’s parties， Savage lays his eyes on new and upcoming star Laila Fitzgerald and he is gone。 The chemistry between them is crazy and he doesn’t want anyone but Laila。 Unfortunately， his bandmate/best friend Kendrick calls dibs on her and all the things he was imagining comes to a crashing end。 But this is not the worst of it。 During the party， Reed announces that their opening act during their upcoming tour had to bail and he decided Laila will be the one replacing them。 Leila is amazing。 She is down-to-earth， friendly， and super nice。 When she hears that she will be the opening act for the Fugitive Summer， she is ecstatic because they are one of her favorite bands and she also has a huge celebrity crush on Savage。 Unfortunately， her enthusiasm will soon evaporate thanks to Savage and his hostile attitude。 But then again how long will Savage be able to keep up the façade and act like she doesn’t exist？ I loved the banter between them， it was entertaining， and their frenemies status was intriguing。 However， constant misunderstandings and lies were a bit too much and that is the only reason this book was 4 stars instead of 5。 The timeline of this book overlaps with The Reed Rivers Trilogy and Smitten， even though you can read this as a standalone， I recommend you read the previous books as well。 I enjoyed seeing the same events from various point of views and also get more scoop of the infamous Reed Rivers parties :） I consider myself lucky because I find out about her books right at the beginning。 It was right after her second book of The Club was published and I was hooked。 My only downfall was I needed to wait A LOT :） I am pretty sure that I will read anything she writes and enjoy。 I cannot wait to read the second installment of the series。Also， after Rockstar we got used to Lauren Rowe producing the theme song :） I still listen to the one she did for Smitten and now we have an album （almost :） ） Check out the River Records page on Lauren Rowe’s website to listen to Savage and Laila :） P。S。 It is amazing to be able to listen to the songs sung by the hero and heroine while writing the review LOL！ Would I recommend this book: YesWould I re-read this book: Yes Would I read future books by this author: Yese-ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review。 The review was originally posted on: https://miabookaddict。com/ 。。。more
