Summary

In the latest novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series, homicide detective Eve Dallas sifts through the wreckage of the past to find a killer。

The body was left in a dumpster like so much trash, the victim a woman of no fixed address, known for offering paper flowers in return for spare change—and for keeping the cops informed of any infractions she witnessed on the street。 But the notebook where she scribbled her intel on litterers and other such offenders is nowhere to be found。

Then Eve is summoned away to a nearby building site to view more remains—in this case decades old, adorned with gold jewelry and fine clothing—unearthed by recent construction work。 She isn’t happy when she realizes that the scene of the crime belongs to her husband, Roarke—not that it should surprise her, since the Irish billionaire owns a good chunk of New York。 Now Eve must enter a complex world of real estate development, family history, shady deals, and shocking secrets to find justice for two women whose lives were thrown away…

Brain candy at its finest。 I love this series。

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review。 I enjoyed this book overall。 The juxtaposition of the two murders - one recent and one decades in the past - was interesting and the way Robb wove the details of both together while also keeping them as separate investigations and showing Eve's emotional toll was quite good。 I did think it seemed like it was just a little too easy - solving two murders, one of which is a cold case, in the matter of a few days seems a little unlikel I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review。 I enjoyed this book overall。 The juxtaposition of the two murders - one recent and one decades in the past - was interesting and the way Robb wove the details of both together while also keeping them as separate investigations and showing Eve's emotional toll was quite good。 I did think it seemed like it was just a little too easy - solving two murders, one of which is a cold case, in the matter of a few days seems a little unlikely even in fiction but that was really my only quibble with this installment of the In Death series。 。。。more

It is always fun to get a chance to jump back into the lives of Eve Dallas and Roarke。 At this point, I'm in it more for their relationship and friends stories than I am the actual murder mysteries though。 Nora Roberts does pretty well writing as J。D。 Robb when it comes to creating a new murder scenario that she hasn't done before, but it is usually really easy to figure out who-dun-it since they are suspects and/or characters that get introduced early on in the books。 Always entertaining to rea It is always fun to get a chance to jump back into the lives of Eve Dallas and Roarke。 At this point, I'm in it more for their relationship and friends stories than I am the actual murder mysteries though。 Nora Roberts does pretty well writing as J。D。 Robb when it comes to creating a new murder scenario that she hasn't done before, but it is usually really easy to figure out who-dun-it since they are suspects and/or characters that get introduced early on in the books。 Always entertaining to read but not much of a surprise twist when solving the crimes。 。。。more

Forgotten in Death is #53 in this series。 Has the quality held consistent? On the whole, yes, with a few books that just did not hold the standard。 Perhaps it is assumed that the reader is already familiar with the characters and the author did not bother with the usual physical description。 Have you ever gone to a chain grocery store in the next town over? It is the same company and setting as your usual store but just slightly off that it is not familiar? That is the feeling this book yields。 Forgotten in Death is #53 in this series。 Has the quality held consistent? I received an ARC of this book。 I typically love Eve Dallas novels but I found that this one felt a bit flat。。。especially after the previous book in the series which was a page turner til the end。 The murders felt like deja vu, something already covered in previous cases。

Two bodies--one recent, one much older--are found on adjacent construction sites on the same day, leading to a pair of delightfully twisty mysteries in the 53rd book in Robb's In Death series。 Well worth reading。 Two bodies--one recent, one much older--are found on adjacent construction sites on the same day, leading to a pair of delightfully twisty mysteries in the 53rd book in Robb's In Death series。 Well worth reading。 。。。more

Love Eve & Roarke and the rest of the crew。 They're back to solving murders and there are still a few ways for Robb to surprise us。 Love Eve & Roarke and the rest of the crew。 They're back to solving murders and there are still a few ways for Robb to surprise us。 。。。more
