Sally Hepworth usually does the unexpected and this book is no different。 The story of Pippa and Gabe and Amanda and Max told before “the incident” and after。 A look at marriage and death with a few twists and turns。 Kept me hooked from beginning t9 end。

This books was well written， I liked the short chapters and it was easy to read。 I enjoyed the unique perspective of having one of the narrators be dead while speaking。 I only gave it three stars because for a thriller it wasn’t very thrilling， it was more about a relationship than it was a mystery or thriller。 I also think it will end up being a little forgettable。

a decent read but nothing to write home about。 this was my march pick for botm and it had pretty solid reviews。 i flew through this on the plane， but it didn’t do much for me。 the concept was good at first but it felt lackluster。 i needed more drama and more twists。 I did like the alternating perspectives and then “before/after”。 I’ve just preferred other books from this author much more

Great read！I loved the way it was written！ POV from two characters， but you get past and present from both。 The chapters are short， but they weave together perfectly！ There were a couple of surprises towards the end that I was NOT expecting！

Pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed reading this domestic thriller from my Book of the Month box。 I really liked the short chapters and the different viewpoints both past and present。 This thriller was unique in the fact that the ending is actually heartwarming。 I definitely recommend this one。
