Mostly interesting read。 Chapter 2 about the hatchery is one of the best chapters on animals that I have read in a while， it really makes you think。

I loved this book！ It’s such an informative， fun， and quick read。 I have chickens， so was naturally drawn to this book。 I have fallen victim to “chicken math” and ended up with more than I imagined。 Danovich’s book is so relatable for those of us that raise backyard chickens and is eye-opening for the ones that don’t。 Side note- I could be wrong， but I believe that there are two possible typos in the print。 On page five， it is noted that “Americanas” lay blue eggs。 While some hatcheries do marke I loved this book！ It’s such an informative， fun， and quick read。 I have chickens， so was naturally drawn to this book。 I have fallen victim to “chicken math” and ended up with more than I imagined。 Danovich’s book is so relatable for those of us that raise backyard chickens and is eye-opening for the ones that don’t。 Side note- I could be wrong， but I believe that there are two possible typos in the print。 On page five， it is noted that “Americanas” lay blue eggs。 While some hatcheries do market mixed breed blue egg layers by that name， the recognized breed is known as “Ameraucana。” On page 57， the Perdue processing company is also spelled like the university， “Purdue。” 。。。more
