If I could give less than a star or zero stars， I would。 Ignoring all the the typos， spelling errors， and incorrect grammar （which， to be sure， is extremely difficult to do given the extent to which some or all are present on nearly every page）， this is quite possibly one of the worst books I have ever read。 I essentially read it out of curiosity as to how McCrath would attempt to justify his inability to comply with the not so difficult rules applicable to state employees and the MD Public Ethi If I could give less than a star or zero stars， I would。 Ignoring all the the typos， spelling errors， and incorrect grammar （which， to be sure， is extremely difficult to do given the extent to which some or all are present on nearly every page）， this is quite possibly one of the worst books I have ever read。 I essentially read it out of curiosity as to how McCrath would attempt to justify his inability to comply with the not so difficult rules applicable to state employees and the MD Public Ethics Law implications of his actions。 There is no explanation， nor is there any explanation as to why the MES Board asked no questions regarding the bonus payment that started this entire saga。 Fiduciary duty， anyone？ The entire book is a stream of consciousness attack on Gov。 Larry Hogan， as well as some not so subtle digs at MD’s First Lady。 It seems entirely clear that McCrath penned this himself。 New flash， Mr。 McCrath， there were plenty of us working 70+ hour days during the pandemic and beyond; none of us took $200K+ bonuses; none of us received raises; I for one did not get a cruise， travel， or luxury accommodations out of the deal。 We didn’t even get any recognition for our efforts except perhaps an state-wide email on State Employee Appreciation Day （Yeee！）。 So， please get over yourself and take responsibility for your misdeeds。I cannot even imagine what the next “tell all” book will reveal。 Betrayed: The Real Story of MES。 Seriously？！？ 。。。more
