Summary

Jonah Mills is content keeping a low profile on the Sweet Briar Ranch, drumming up business for their crop-dusting service and learning how to be a rancher after years in the Air Force。 His marriage was a mistake he doesn't intend to repeat。

Darby Woods comes to Sweet Water with Amber, her adopted daughter, looking for Amber's father, just as a group of girls make a video that goes viral on social media。 The town is swarmed with ladies looking to be the lady with the Three Old Coots, and, while not intending to be in the running, Darby is somehow chosen。

Her new gig is great, except it doesn't pay anything。 So, she takes a clerk job on Sweet Briar Ranch, where the man she's looking for lives, only he doesn't realize he's a father and she doesn't want to hurt her daughter if he isn't interested in fulfilling his responsibilities。

But when her daughter's birth mother shows up in Sweet Water to take her away from Darby, can she trust that Jonah will be the kind of father Amber needs? Can she find more than just a father for Amber, and maybe true love for herself as well?

Just a Cowboy's Secret Baby is a Christian, heartwarming, inspirational romance。 I love Ms。 Gussman's fresh take on a secret baby。 I love the care and love Darby has for her adopted daughter Amber and the difficult choices she makes to protect Amber。 Jonah is a delight and just as eager to protect Amber。 In this beautifully written book, you will find three people making a new family unit, following God's plans and some marriage advice。 I was totally captivated from the beginning to the end。 Just a Cowboy's Secret Baby is a Christian, heartwarming, inspirational romance。 I love Ms。 Gussman's fresh take on a secret baby。 I love the care and love Darby has for her adopted daughter Amber and the difficult choices she makes to protect Amber。 Jonah is a delight and just as eager to protect Amber。 In this beautifully written book, you will find three people making a new family unit, following God's plans and some marriage advice。 I was totally captivated from the beginning to the end。 。。。more

Jonah and Darby’s story makes me smile while also inspiring me。 It features a matchmaking steer, a host of beloved characters from other books written by Jessie that are set in Sweetwater, North Dakota, and a truly inspiring marriage counselling session。 Both Darby and Jonah value their faith, honesty, honor and loyalty。 Their word is their bond and they both put doing what’s best for a child ahead of what they may want。 They both believe that young Amber’s gift is to be nurtured and encouraged, Jonah and Darby’s story makes me smile while also inspiring me。 It features a matchmaking steer, a host of beloved characters from other books written by Jessie that are set in Sweetwater, North Dakota, and a truly inspiring marriage counselling session。 Both Darby and Jonah value their faith, honesty, honor and loyalty。 Their word is their bond and they both put doing what’s best for a child ahead of what they may want。 They both believe that young Amber’s gift is to be nurtured and encouraged, but never exploited for monetary gain。 I loved how they instantly connected and not only felt a pull toward each other, but also had an innate sense of trust in each other。 They both trusted God to guide their decisions and to help them do what was best for Amber。 They both took the pastor’s words during his marriage counselling to heart and proceeded to incorporate those lessons into their marriage。 They built a strong foundation of friendship, trust and communication in their marriage even before love entered into it。Jessie has once again given her readers a story that imparts faith, wisdom and inspiration while also being entertaining and engaging。 I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review。 。。。more

So I didn't read about this book before reading it so the first part had me thinking "Ok, another book about the father not accepting responsibility for his child"。 But I was so mistaken。 This is a totally different twist to the theme of a secret baby。 As with Ms。 Gussman's other books, I very much enjoyed this story。 Ms。 Gussman continues to surprise me with her writing skills & thinking outside the box when she writes。 You can't go wrong enjoying & learning from her stories。 So I didn't read about this book before reading it so the first part had me thinking "Ok, another book about the father not accepting responsibility for his child"。 But I was so mistaken。 This is a totally different twist to the theme of a secret baby。 As with Ms。 Gussman's other books, I very much enjoyed this story。 Ms。 Gussman continues to surprise me with her writing skills & thinking outside the box when she writes。 You can't go wrong enjoying & learning from her stories。 。。。more

A sweet meeting of father and daughter and of their bonding together。 Also an endearing romance of Jonah and Darby as they marry for Amber’s welfare and learn to love each other, which comes slowly and tenderly。 There are many Biblical teachings on relationships throughout the book, which allows the reader to think about their own life and relationships。 Nicely done。 I received an ARC from the author for my voluntary opinion。
