I can't get enough of the Wagon Train Matches series。 I adored Leo and Evangeline, and somehow, I loved Stella and Collin even more。 Their chemistry was perfect and their interactions sweet。 I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series。 I can't get enough of the Wagon Train Matches series。 I adored Leo and Evangeline, and somehow, I loved Stella and Collin even more。 Their chemistry was perfect and their interactions sweet。 I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series。 。。。more

I liked how the author is able to make readers feel like they have traveled back in time when wagon trains were in abundance。 The roads were dusty, long and lonely。 I can’t imagine going for days being bounced around as you try to keep moving forward with anticipation。 The weather was dangerous at times and caused many on the wagon train to lose everything。 Stella is quite a determined young woman who has secrets that she hopes will not come out。 A great lesson in the book is trying to deceive o I liked how the author is able to make readers feel like they have traveled back in time when wagon trains were in abundance。 The roads were dusty, long and lonely。 I can’t imagine going for days being bounced around as you try to keep moving forward with anticipation。 The weather was dangerous at times and caused many on the wagon train to lose everything。 Stella is quite a determined young woman who has secrets that she hopes will not come out。 A great lesson in the book is trying to deceive others thinking that everything will turn out good。 I understood why Stella did what she did but when we try to hide things, God has a way of bringing them to the surface。 She finds herself in danger along with her sisters which brings Stella to a hard decision。 Collin is a welcome addition to the story and for some reason has his doubts about this person who always wears their hat low and hardly makes eye contact。 I liked how he felt compassion for Stella’s situation。 Instead of being angry when the truth comes out, he gives a helping hand。 There are minor characters in the story which make for misunderstandings。 Collin’s family relationship is shaken at times when he confronts his brother about something。 I think the reason I liked Collin so much was because he gave grace to others and was always there to help those in need。 I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit。 The review is my own opinion。 。。。more

StellaI can’t get enough of this series。 Stella has fought to protect sisters since she was a child。 Collin has his own set of problems with his family。 The two find a way to open up and share their lives together。 I’m so excited for August’s story next。 I just wish it would be out sooner。

Trail of Secrets A wonderful addition to the Wagon Train Matches series。 Stella has done all she can to protect her sisters from the time she turned sixteen。 Pretending to be a young man on the wagon train is only one of the ways she has cared for them。 Then Collin discovers her ruse。 Instead of turning her in, he protects her and stands up for her。 Along the way he manages to also fall for her。

This is Book #2 in the Wagon Train Matches series and picks up where Book #1 left off。 If you have not read the first book, I would suggest you read it before you read this story as it will help you identify the "who" and "where" and "why" of the story。 This is Colin and Stella's story and the character development is outstanding。 This is a tale of secrets, danger, evil, natural disasters, suspense, conflicts and romance。 The author has also included some history within the story but it is not o This is Book #2 in the Wagon Train Matches series and picks up where Book #1 left off。 If you have not read the first book, I would suggest you read it before you read this story as it will help you identify the "who" and "where" and "why" of the story。 This is Colin and Stella's story and the character development is outstanding。 This is a tale of secrets, danger, evil, natural disasters, suspense, conflicts and romance。 The author has also included some history within the story but it is not overpowering and certainly adds to the story。 This is a real page turner and I know you will enjoy it as much as I did。 I look forward to Book #3 coming out later this year。 。。。more

very goodVery good。 I enjoyed reading this book by Lacy Williams。 Travelling West on a wagon train was hard work, dangerous, and so much more, yet there was love found。 Collin and Stella found it but they had to find themselves first which was a story in itself。 Looking forward to reading the next book。 Keep up the good work。

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering with each turn of the page “what will happen next?”。 The way Lacy writes makes you get attached to each character。 As if they are your best friends。 When I get to the end I have to mope a little because it’s over! This story was really well done and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series。

Trail of Secrets is an amazing book by Lacy Williams。 The second book in the Wagon Train Matches, it was so well written that I could smell the camp fire smoke, feel the terror that came because of the weather as well as the rain soaked clothes。 Such a well written historical western movement story that the characters both good and bad came vividly alive。 Taken place right where the first book ended, be ready for a couple of twists and turns。 The desperation of Stella/Stephen and her sisters as Trail of Secrets is an amazing book by Lacy Williams。 The second book in the Wagon Train Matches, it was so well written that I could smell the camp fire smoke, feel the terror that came because of the weather as well as the rain soaked clothes。 Such a well written historical western movement story that the characters both good and bad came vividly alive。 Taken place right where the first book ended, be ready for a couple of twists and turns。 The desperation of Stella/Stephen and her sisters as well as the trickery involved by someone they trusted was so real。 I wanted to help them myself even if Stella was too proud to lean on anyone。 I loved that Colling stepped up to do just that but was wise enough in the end to know how to do that。 I so enjoyed the first book in the series but find the Fairfax sisters on their way west dreaming of a better life to be unforgettable。 The conclusion was wonderful, but the past may not be behind the group of travelers just yet。 I so want to know what comes their way next。 Still there are other characters who must have their stories told too so I patiently, well maybe a little impatiently wait for the next book。 There are hints at the end of this book who might be next but I actually wish it was Cooper’s story。 I haven’t given up on him yet so his brothers shouldn’t either。 The publisher/author gave me a complimentary digital ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

Lacy Williams’ second book in the Wagon Train Matches Series continues the drama with this suspenseful main character disguise trope。Stella and one of her sisters take on the identity of men in order to escape from dangerous men who are after them。 Even on the wagon train, the sisters don’t feel safe。 While Stella makes a poor “Stephen” and a poor horseman, she comes to rely on the handsome, kind Collin Mason。I like the way Williams revealed Stella’s identity quickly to Collin’s character, thus Lacy Williams’ second book in the Wagon Train Matches Series continues the drama with this suspenseful main character disguise trope。Stella and one of her sisters take on the identity of men in order to escape from dangerous men who are after them。 Even on the wagon train, the sisters don’t feel safe。 While Stella makes a poor “Stephen” and a poor horseman, she comes to rely on the handsome, kind Collin Mason。I like the way Williams revealed Stella’s identity quickly to Collin’s character, thus setting him up for conflict with his family as he keeps her secret。 The suspense builds with the fear of being caught as their romance develops。Williams steadily increased the tension in the story with natural disasters, conflict with minor characters, and the fear of being discovered。 This was a true page-turner and fans of Christian Historical Romance will enjoy it as a stand alone or by reading the series in order。 I strongly recommend this book。Genre: Christian Historical Romance, Inspirational Romance, Wagon TrainLocation: Oregon TrailTime Period: 1860s/1870sRomance: Very clean。 Brief mention of kissing。Faith: Light references to faith or church。Disclaimer: I requested and received an advanced copy of this book courtesy of the publisher。 I was not required to give a favorable review。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more
