5 stars。It appears as though Andrea Rangel has done it again - made knitted colourwork fun, easy, accessible and interchangeable! I own a copy of Andrea's first colourwork book: *Alterknit Stitch Dictionary: 200 Modern Knitting Motifs*, and I love it。 I also receive her newsletter and follow her on social media。 As a Canadian knitter myself, I think that she is doing great things and is also a joy。So far, I have only received the 13-page teaser of this forthcoming second book on colourwork。 The 5 stars。It appears as though Andrea Rangel has done it again - made knitted colourwork fun, easy, accessible and interchangeable! If you have ever looked at a sweater and wondered "how did they do that pattern? It's so cute" this is a great guide on how to make the stitches turn into wonderful things。Only a sample, but nonetheless, I enjoyed seeing what was presented and if I can understand the instructions, any of my crafty ladies can make their projects turn out。#shortbutsweetreviews If you have ever looked at a sweater and wondered "how did they do that pattern? KnitOvation Stitch Dictionary is a great collection of knitting motifs。 The beginning of the book contains a lot of useful information about fibers。 Then there are tons of motifs with provided charts and pictures。 The charts are easy to read and the multiples of required stitches for repeats are provided。 In addition there are patterned that incorporate the morifs。 This book is a great additon to anyone that love knitting。

I really wanted to review this book, but the copy I received via Kindle is unreadable。 I sent an email to the company 15 days ago requesting they send me the entire book, per the note from the publisher。 I have not received any response from the company。 I would have loved to review the book, but can only do this with a copy that I can read。

Not since Barbara Walker has a knitting stitch dictionary inspired the knitting community as much as AlterKnit did。 All knitters and knitwear designers must have a copy on their reference shelf。 The community has been impatiently waiting for the release of KnitOvation and Rangel delivers。 So many adorable pattern in her easy to follow charts and instructions make color knitting accessible for all skill levels。 Some patterns are included as well。 I only saw a sample file of this book but I am sup Not since Barbara Walker has a knitting stitch dictionary inspired the knitting community as much as AlterKnit did。 All knitters and knitwear designers must have a copy on their reference shelf。 The community has been impatiently waiting for the release of KnitOvation and Rangel delivers。 So many adorable pattern in her easy to follow charts and instructions make color knitting accessible for all skill levels。 Some patterns are included as well。 I only saw a sample file of this book but I am super excited to get my hands on a paper copy。 I will pre-ordering this title for my knitting reference shelf。 Grab a copy ASAP! 。。。more

I enjoyed this collection of color work designs, and a few patterns。 There is a nice description of how to choose good yarns to work with。 The designs are cute (I especially liked the design with the socks repeated - maybe I'll have to make some socks with a sock design on them ;) ) and relatively easy to follow。 She includes the chart, the number of stitches per repeat, and the design knitted up。 A great addition to your knitting tool collection。 I received a preview copy and am giving it an ho I enjoyed this collection of color work designs, and a few patterns。 There is a nice description of how to choose good yarns to work with。 The designs are cute (I especially liked the design with the socks repeated - maybe I'll have to make some socks with a sock design on them ;) ) and relatively easy to follow。 She includes the chart, the number of stitches per repeat, and the design knitted up。 A great addition to your knitting tool collection。 I received a preview copy and am giving it an honest review。 。。。more

If you liked Andrea Rangel's book AlterKnit, you'll also enjoy KnitOvation, which offers even more modern colorwork stitch patterns。 My favorite is Willowherb, which is a fun repeating flower pattern。 Some of the other stitches include additional flowers, leaves, fruit, and geometric patterns。 In addition, there are patterns included where you can easily add in your chosen pattern。 At the beginning of the book, there is helpful information about choosing yarn and how to use a stitch dictionary。 If you liked Andrea Rangel's book AlterKnit, you'll also enjoy KnitOvation, which offers even more modern colorwork stitch patterns。 My favorite is Willowherb, which is a fun repeating flower pattern。 Some of the other stitches include additional flowers, leaves, fruit, and geometric patterns。 In addition, there are patterns included where you can easily add in your chosen pattern。 At the beginning of the book, there is helpful information about choosing yarn and how to use a stitch dictionary。 All in all, I would say this is a beneficial addition to any colorwork knitter's repertoire。I was able to read an early sample of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publisher。 。。。more

Read through this 13 page snippet with my coffee this morning and I am looking forward to casting on a few of the designs just to practice。 I am still learning, but they are written well and I can follow them even as a beginner。 Looking forward to the whole book。

This is a gorgeous book with some amazing patterns and ideas。There is a brief introduction helping you to select the right yarn for your project。Then there are stitch guides from botanical to abstract。 Following that, there is a lovely hat pattern。

Unfortunately given that I only have received 13 pages of this book, it has been hard to give honest feedback on the merit of this book。 。 I did like the small content I saw, and as I am a prolific knitter, I will search the book out in the stores to see more。 Thanks you NetGalley and the publishers for the DRC 。

Even though this is a sample, I really enjoyed looking at these charts and the sampled pattern was interesting。 I can’t wait to get the full book and also to try out these stitch patterns for myself。
