New friendsA good read But seems to be a mix of the author other two series （Traveller and Giseria Chonicles）。 Be nice if the author just made it about the hero going and sorting out problems each book rather then get into selling and building up a large group or army to help him。 That is why it is only 4 stars。

Xander has the same MC for all their books。 You know it， I know it。The setting is what keeps them fun。 This is a reboot of their first series。 Same story beats， same power creep， same hidden totals and problematic males。 It is boring due to the complete lack of originality or surprises。
