Summary

The Vampire King is dead…

To make matters infinitely worse， I’m pretty much obsessed with the General of the Vampire Army， who—spoiler alert—has been tasked with leading the hunting party sent to kill me and my not-so-merry band of misfits。 The only chance we have of getting through this mess alive is to throw ourselves at the mercy of the neighboring werewolves and hope they don’t rip us to shreds。 They are the key to defeating the newly crowned “King” Edmund and saving the Vampire Kingdom from a return to the old days。 Days filled with unchecked cruelty， torture， and mayhem。

It would take a little cunning and loads of audacity to even attempt to negotiate an alliance between two species that have been warring for centuries。

Luckily， I’ve got both in spades。

The wait is OVER！！！！ Annnnnddd。。。back on again。Author Shannon Mayer has returned with Hunted by Fate the second book in her Alpha Territories series。 Book one left us with a cliffhanger and the hunger to know what happens next。 Book two eases that hunger， for as long as it takes you to read the book， and then leaves you starving with yet another cliffhanger ending。 It's a struggle not to "rage" knowing that we have to wait for more， but just keep reminding yourself that 1） you can reread the boo The wait is OVER！！！！ Annnnnddd。。。back on again。Author Shannon Mayer has returned with Hunted by Fate the second book in her Alpha Territories series。 Book one left us with a cliffhanger and the hunger to know what happens next。 Book two eases that hunger， for as long as it takes you to read the book， and then leaves you starving with yet another cliffhanger ending。 It's a struggle not to "rage" knowing that we have to wait for more， but just keep reminding yourself that 1） you can reread the books you currently have and 2） it's okay。 Book three is coming。 LOL！Hunted by Fate kicks things off with a prologue that puts a few things in perspective。 I was literally drooling and crying at the same time。 Drooling with the excitement of learning something new and then crying from the revelations as well。 The excitement doesn't stop there as Sienna， Bee， Will and Dominic are finding themselves in a whole hail of chaos。 Chaos I tell you！！！ Drama unfolds with each turn of the page， and your jaw will be on the floor throughout。 Do not plan on doing anything once you pick this book up or for hours after you finish， because once you finish you will be in a ball processing everything you've read。 When is book three coming again？ I need it soon。 LOL！ Hands down: 5 out of 5 stars。 Another top ten pick for me for 2023。 。。。more

I am loving this series！ There’s intrigue， action， angst， and some spiciness。 Hunted by Fate picks up right where Taken by Fate left off。 Sienna， Will， and Bethany are running for their lives to get to the Werewolf territories before Edmund and his hunting party catch up to them。 Will is hanging on by a thread and getting worse and it’s Sienna’s blood that keeps him from the brink of death。 Along with sanctuary in the Werewolf territories， Sienna is hoping someone can tell her what she is。 Why i I am loving this series！ There’s intrigue， action， angst， and some spiciness。 Hunted by Fate picks up right where Taken by Fate left off。 Sienna， Will， and Bethany are running for their lives to get to the Werewolf territories before Edmund and his hunting party catch up to them。 Will is hanging on by a thread and getting worse and it’s Sienna’s blood that keeps him from the brink of death。 Along with sanctuary in the Werewolf territories， Sienna is hoping someone can tell her what she is。 Why is her blood different and why can she connect with animals？ Meanwhile， Dominic is trying to prove himself the loyal servant to the crown， while simultaneously planning a coup to get Edmund off the thrown and Will crowned king。 Things go to sh*t and Sienna begins to feel more alone than ever。 Sienna is a bit lost in this book， so I’m really excited for the next one。 I just know that the flame within is going to burn bright and she’s going to start kicking butt and taking names。 。。。more

Must have time to read！！Hunted by Fate captured my attention as easily as the first。 I started reading it at 130 am hoping to get back to sleep but I ended up staying up till about 5am。 These characters are so fun and complex。 I can’t wait for the next book。 There’s not enough good things to say about this book

Another great readThis is the second outing for Sienna and Dominic。 Not as naughty as the first one， but I did not mind that。 Great read as usual。 The good thing with Ms。 Mayers writing is that you never feel that books 2 and 3， etc， are just there as fillers。 I am looking forward to the next outing and seeing where we go from here。

What a page Turner， definitely caught my imagination。 Second in this series and did。 It disappoint。 We learnt a bit more about Sienna and what lengths Dominic will go to for those he cares about。 Not sure what I can say without spoiling it other than this book has it all…betrayal， passion， loyalty， mystery and determination。 Can’t wait for the next book to come out to find out what will happen next

Do I dare say that Hunted By Fate is better than the amazing Taken By Fate？ YES！！！！The prologue in this one is fantastic！！ It’s palpable in its writing。Hunted starts off right where Taken ended。 No more gowns and pendants。 This is real life on this side of the the fallen veil。 Sienna， Bee and Will are on the run and in 2 races。 A race to save Will’s life and a race to get to safety before the official hunt for them begins。In true Mayer fashion， the world and character building are fantastic。 The Do I dare say that Hunted By Fate is better than the amazing Taken By Fate？ YES！！！！The prologue in this one is fantastic！！ It’s palpable in its writing。Hunted starts off right where Taken ended。 No more gowns and pendants。 This is real life on this side of the the fallen veil。 Sienna， Bee and Will are on the run and in 2 races。 A race to save Will’s life and a race to get to safety before the official hunt for them begins。In true Mayer fashion， the world and character building are fantastic。 The bond between Sienna and Bee grows beautifully in this one。 Their friendship is only going to grow and I see big things for these two。 They make each other better but also keep each other grounded。 The “relationships” of Will & Bee and Sienna & Dom start as a little bit of YA angst but it reads well。 It reminds us we are reading about young women here， not “seasoned” in life and love。 We see characters we know and meet many new ones。 This is a book full of love， lies， spice， deception， old & new friendships and twists and turns in every direction。 Does Will die？ Does Edmund get what he deserves？ Do Dom & Sienna get together？ Do Will and Bee get together？ What is Sienna’s power？ Does she actually belong in the Territories？ Do any of these new characters have answers for her？ If these are some of the questions you have after Taken By Fate， Hunted By Fate will answer some， leave some open and leave you with more。 As with the amazing Taken By Fate， you will not want to put this book down。 。。。more

Seriously loving this new world and the progression of the story between Sienna & Dominic， her brooding General… most of this installment takes place in the Wolf territory and we get a very tiny peek/teaser at the Angel territory。 It was interesting seeing the stark differences between the Vampires and Wolves way of life， as well as some of the similarities。 We finally get some answers about Sienna and her “gifts”， which also opens more questions as well。 Things definitely heat up between her an Seriously loving this new world and the progression of the story between Sienna & Dominic， her brooding General… most of this installment takes place in the Wolf territory and we get a very tiny peek/teaser at the Angel territory。 It was interesting seeing the stark differences between the Vampires and Wolves way of life， as well as some of the similarities。 We finally get some answers about Sienna and her “gifts”， which also opens more questions as well。 Things definitely heat up between her and Dom。 🥵🔥 Dominic’s story gets more interesting and complicated。 I loved learning more about his past and it definitely explains why he is the way he is。 Boy does he have his hands full！ To quote the man himself， “The women in my life were bloody courageous， but also vexing beyond comprehension。” Ya well， that about sums it up， but I don’t think he’d want them any other way TBH。 The toughest part as a voyeur in this world， is the Mars/Venus factor with communication or lack there of。 As a woman I’m practically screaming at Dom and Will， “Just tell them what you’re thinking you idiots！ Be blunt and let them decide their fates！” But alas， stupid Mars men do everything bass-ackwards… 🤦🏼‍♀️Can’t wait to see how Dominic and Sienna’s trilogy ends with their final story， “Claimed by Fate” due out the end of July。 。。。more

⭐️ Enemies to lovers， paranormal， shifters， vampires， UF⭐️You will see violence， kidnapping， spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ in some scenes， and allusions to SA （not between the MCs）Hunted by fate kicks every single thing up a couple notches。 The action， the spice， the relationships， and the danger。 We see some unlikely pairings that we want HEAs for but fear might be too much for their world。 We meet new friends and their personalities are perfect for their roles。 Finally we see some resolve in several characters ⭐️ Enemies to lovers， paranormal， shifters， vampires， UF⭐️You will see violence， kidnapping， spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ in some scenes， and allusions to SA （not between the MCs）Hunted by fate kicks every single thing up a couple notches。 The action， the spice， the relationships， and the danger。 We see some unlikely pairings that we want HEAs for but fear might be too much for their world。 We meet new friends and their personalities are perfect for their roles。 Finally we see some resolve in several characters that might have been teetering in the previous book。 This world is an original take based on some known species and their dislike of one another。 My favorites are Sienna and Bee of course but now I’m REALLY rooting for Lycan （perfect name haha） and Evangeline。 Sienna is a survivor。 Despite overwhelming odds she will do everything in her power to find a way through any storm。 When tragedy hits it only strengthens her resolve。 I only hope her interpretation of events is the correct course of action。 We did get answers some some questions but I also have some many new questions now…。。 which we won’t know until the next book ahhhhh！！！ Shannon Mayer will pull at your heart strings while building up a battle roar as you take on the villain。 。。。more

I don’t know where to begin？ This world of vampire/werewolf territories just exploded。 There is so much going on in this book I don’t know where to start。 The first book we follow Sienna on her journey trying to save her friend from the monsters/vampires and ending up in a game that has her own life in the line。 We can’t for get Dominic！ The vampire that bought her and brought her into this world。 The pull between them so strong and yet they keep fighting it。 The world of vampires is not as bad I don’t know where to begin？ This world of vampire/werewolf territories just exploded。 There is so much going on in this book I don’t know where to start。 The first book we follow Sienna on her journey trying to save her friend from the monsters/vampires and ending up in a game that has her own life in the line。 We can’t for get Dominic！ The vampire that bought her and brought her into this world。 The pull between them so strong and yet they keep fighting it。 The world of vampires is not as bad as she thought and she actually grows to like many of the vampires。 Running with her new friend Bree to save the life of one， young Will and the future king of vampires。 If they can keep him safe from his twisted brother Edmund。Which brings us to the next book and the werewolf territories！！！ Just like Shannon always has a way of weaving in so many angles and questions and betrayals。 So much action and drama。 Who can be trusted？ Sienna discovers she is more than capable of taking care of herself but are the ones she has come to love and want to protect safe with her around？ Can she still escape this world and help them at the same time？ Sienna has been drawn into a battle involving a family and trying to get the right heir on the throne。 No one is safe from a Edmund。 Will the vampires and werewolves join forces to keep Edmund from the throne。 What part does Sienna play in all of this。 Does she have a chance to still escape and save her and her humans friends she has met。 Can she leave Dominic behind…。。her heart？ Loving this series and I can not wait to see what hall to many of the characters we have met in the new world。 Boom two just explodes in so many directions。 It’s exhilarating！ 。。。more

This is the second book in this series and I loved it！ The action doesn't stop and the new characters are great。 The world building is top notch and this book will keep you guessing the during the entire book。In this book we learn a bit more about Evangeline and Lycan the werewolf king。 To find out more about these two was such a treat。 This story has moved from the Vampire territories to the Werewolf territory。 Edmund is on a rampage and flexing his new found power as king of the vampires。 Sien This is the second book in this series and I loved it！ The action doesn't stop and the new characters are great。 The world building is top notch and this book will keep you guessing the during the entire book。In this book we learn a bit more about Evangeline and Lycan the werewolf king。 To find out more about these two was such a treat。 This story has moved from the Vampire territories to the Werewolf territory。 Edmund is on a rampage and flexing his new found power as king of the vampires。 Sienna， Bethany and Will are on the run and must make it to the Werewolf territory before Edmund catches them。 Edmund has demanded that the General prove his loyalty by helping to hunt Sienna， Bethany and Will down。 If the General refuses then he will be executed。So a plan has to be made to get rid of Edmund as quickly as possible， the problem the general has is trying to find someone he can trust to help him make plans to get rid of Edmund。 I do not want to get in to too many details because no one likes spoilers。 But this one is so packed with surprises。 I am so excited to read the next book to find out what happens to all of these awesome characters and if they will be heading to a new territory。If you love a fast paced book about vampires， werewolves and other supernaturals with some steamy episodes， great world building and fantastic character development then you will love this book。 。。。more

Picking up right where Taken by Fate left off， the action in this book never fades as our main character flees to wolf territory to find her best friend and a way back to the mainland。 Mayer crafts such a layered story as she artfully reveals more details about the history between the vampires and wolves， the royal families， the Alpha territories and a new epic prophecy。 With danger， battles， spicy scenes， and heartfelt moments， this book gripped me and didn’t let go。 I cannot wait for more！！

Well Shannon has done it again。 Grabs my attention right from the start， holds it throughout the book then leaves me at a cliffhanger that has me worried， scared and sad。 But it was totally worth it。 If you have not read the first book in this series yet， Taken by Fate then please do so now before you read any spoilers。 Hunted by Fate stays true to it's name as Sienna， Bee and Will are being hunted by Edmund and his party。 They just need to make it to the wolf territory before they can catch up。 Well Shannon has done it again。 Grabs my attention right from the start， holds it throughout the book then leaves me at a cliffhanger that has me worried， scared and sad。 But it was totally worth it。 If you have not read the first book in this series yet， Taken by Fate then please do so now before you read any spoilers。 Hunted by Fate stays true to it's name as Sienna， Bee and Will are being hunted by Edmund and his party。 They just need to make it to the wolf territory before they can catch up。 But Prince William is slowly slipping away after being poisoned by bloodworms。 And somehow someway， when Sienna feeds Will some of her blood to heal him it does more than that。 It slowly CURES him。 She is powerful and magical but she doesn't know how much just yet。 The constant push and pull between Sienna and Dom was rough to read。 Like as a reader we see what they are going through emotionally and sometimes maybe it's just me but I wanna smack them out of it。 Kind of like when Sienna smacked Bee out of it to wake up。 They love each other deep down but are both at an impasse and the tension is killing me。 But I have a feeling when they finally embrace it， it's going to be epic。 Like I said in the beginning Hunted by Fate captivated my attention right from the start。 If you loved the first book you surely are going to love this one as well。 I definitely love this one way more。 Just the not knowing what was going to happen next， to the can & will they escape。 Will Edmund the Vile be dethroned？ Even though the anticipation was killing me when I couldn't read it， it was well worth it。 But I need Book 3 pronto please。 Thank you， Shannon Mayer for an ARC copy of Hunted by Fate。 I greatly appreciate it and I'm falling in love with these characters deeply。 But may still be mad about that one death。。。。。。IYKYK 。。。more
