Summary
Seventy years ago， the world ended in chaos。
Portals appeared on Earth， forcing everyone to make a choice: enter or die。 However， if they managed to survive through all twelve planets in the system， they would be allowed to return home。 Humanity fought bitterly and， in the end， succeeded， but the cost was high。
Nate lost everyone he’s cared about， and after stepping through the final portal， he makes a shocking discovery。 Earth is part of the system and what’s left of humanity is too weak to go home。 Returning to the scene of the battle， Nate finds the unexpected – a new portal。 A single step takes him back in time， to the day when the end of the world began。
Given the chance to fix the mistakes of his past， Nate will do all he can to ensure that humanity - and more importantly， his family - is strong enough to survive this time around。 Manipulating events won't be easy。 Knowledge is power but， more importantly， in the System of Twelve， power is power。

The characters and situations are very similar to the other series。This feels the same。 And the changes in the timeframe combined with the initial leveling problems pretty much spell out that humanity is doomed regardless of what they try。 The general lack of a plan combined with dry characters make for a boring read。 This is just overall not that interesting。

not bad Interesting take on a LITRPG apocalypse。 The characters could use a bit more depth。 Also some of the plot developments don’t make a lot of sense。 All in all not a bad read though

This was a lot of fun。 I enjoy stories where the hero goes back in time and attempts to avoid the mistakes they made the first time。 This book does an excellent job of showcasing that this would change the timeline at an increasing rate as the hero makes different decisions。 Things don't always change for the better because the hero doesn't know the consequences of taking a different path。 The only downside to this book is that it is the first in a series， and the other books don't exist yet whi This was a lot of fun。 I enjoy stories where the hero goes back in time and attempts to avoid the mistakes they made the first time。 This book does an excellent job of showcasing that this would change the timeline at an increasing rate as the hero makes different decisions。 Things don't always change for the better because the hero doesn't know the consequences of taking a different path。 The only downside to this book is that it is the first in a series， and the other books don't exist yet which leaves you still early in a story that may never be completed。 But I enjoyed the book greatly and hope Aaron writes the next one soon。 Very nicely done！ 。。。more

Startlingly familiar If you’re reading this or considering the book then chances are good that you’ve read plenty of other similar novels。 If that’s the case then let me just say that this REALLY feels like the author took Reborn Apocalypse by LM Kerr and changed a few things around。 The MC goes back in time to help humanity be stronger， but his attempts to change things change the timeline， hes a cultivator with a female sidekick and a male friend as a group。 One of them uses a magical gun， and Startlingly familiar If you’re reading this or considering the book then chances are good that you’ve read plenty of other similar novels。 If that’s the case then let me just say that this REALLY feels like the author took Reborn Apocalypse by LM Kerr and changed a few things around。 The MC goes back in time to help humanity be stronger， but his attempts to change things change the timeline， hes a cultivator with a female sidekick and a male friend as a group。 One of them uses a magical gun， and the MC is a swordsman。 I seriously got whiplash from how close the two felt。 The editing was decent， and the prose wasn’t bad。 But the author is going to need to seriously branch off from how Kerr did book two of his series or I’m likely to drop this 。。。more
