This book was the perfect representation of 2 idiots in love with each other but scared to admit it。 It had all the good parts， such as: fake-dating， mistaken identity， spice with a sprinkle of angst。

DNF at 50%- don’t get me wrong there were some great and funny parts in this book and I can see why people like it but I just found it a tad boring and it seemed quite predictable in places

I liked this book but it felt like a very predictable plot。 This book is almost identical to “The Things We Never Got Over” by Lucy Score， but instead based in the mountains not a small town。 The author did a good job， but the descriptions in the book were not very vivid in my opinion。 I think she is a great writer but you can tell she is a newer author。 Spicy level 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

I loved this book， it was a great escape and I absolutely loved the characters。 I loved the Ghostly party and the dares her deceased sister challenged her sister and best friends to do。 If You want a great pool or beach read， or just a light hearted fun read-this is the book for you！

Wow！ I absolutely loved this book from the very beginning to the very end！！！ This quick & funny read that had me laughing out loud so many times！ Definitely a page turned， I finished this book in a day。 Milly had recently lost her sister， Zoe to cancer。 She had left her life， job and fiance in New York to help take care of her sister in their family’s vacation home。 They had made a list of things that Zoe wanted to do before she died but didn’t get the opportunity to finish it together。 Milly ha Wow！ I absolutely loved this book from the very beginning to the very end！！！ This quick & funny read that had me laughing out loud so many times！ Definitely a page turned， I finished this book in a day。 Milly had recently lost her sister， Zoe to cancer。 She had left her life， job and fiance in New York to help take care of her sister in their family’s vacation home。 They had made a list of things that Zoe wanted to do before she died but didn’t get the opportunity to finish it together。 Milly had set out to “Take Life By the Balls” and finished the list。The first thing on the list that she was going to tackle was to go skiing - where she ran into Lucas （or so she thought） - her high school crush who was acting uncharacteristically flirty towards her。 She saw him again at the bar， after finding a dare package that her sister left to her and their two best friends， which led to a one night stand with “Lucas”。 The next morning her parents showed up unannounced which started their fake dating plan –it was also when she found out that Lucas was actually his twin brother （who had a crush on her growing up）！ Jax had his own set of problems with finding his place within his family and the family business。 He was a professional snowboarder who had a limited time doing what he loved。 With lots of family drama， flirting and laughter， they help each other figure out what they both wanted in life。This book is told in a dual POV。 These characters were just so much fun to get to know！ It was so sweet， sad and heart-warming！ I felt Milly’s pain of losing her sister， I felt her embarrassment when she figured out that it really wasn’t Lucas and I felt sparks flying between them！ This book is full of emotion！ This is the first book that I have read by Marina Adair and I cannot wait to read the next one in this series！ 。。。more

I loved this book！ Marina combined a tragic event with some comedy and love thrown in。 Faux Beau had me routing for the characters and cheering her on when her friends and late sister made her go outside her comfort zone and live life！ Jax a playboy finally met someone who he would give up his playboy life for when the two collide， literally！ This book had me wiping tears and laughing out loud all at once。 I gave this a 5 star because it hit a lot of what I love in a book。 ❤️

Faux Beau by Marina Adair is a delightful， entertaining and totally engaging romance。 I was swept away by the story， the depth of the characters and the “hot and sexy” scenes。 I am VERY happy that this will be the first in a series with the residents of Sierra Vista。 It isn’t often that I love a book totally， but this one did it for me。The “faux” romance is delightfully sinful and I knew from the beginning （or at least suspected） that the two main characters， Millie Smartt and Jax Macintyre， wil Faux Beau by Marina Adair is a delightful， entertaining and totally engaging romance。 I was swept away by the story， the depth of the characters and the “hot and sexy” scenes。 I am VERY happy that this will be the first in a series with the residents of Sierra Vista。 It isn’t often that I love a book totally， but this one did it for me。The “faux” romance is delightfully sinful and I knew from the beginning （or at least suspected） that the two main characters， Millie Smartt and Jax Macintyre， will succumb to the romance…and this is so because it seemed that those closest to them saw them as a real couple。 Now if only they could get there！ But isn’t that always the way。While going through the effects of Zoe （who has sadly passed away as a result of cancer）， Millie， Kat and Gemma came upon a set of letters to each of them。 In these letters were instructions from Zoe to hold a Ghost-lorette Party。 Interesting and life changing things happened as a result of these letters to the three women。 And thus the stage is set for Millie to run into Jax （or is it his identical twin brother Lucas， whom Millie has had a crush on forever） and then the fun begins… a faux relationship is hatched （after a very steamy one night）。This story also tells the journey of one family trying to navigate loss of a family member。 I must say that those scenes where the loss of Zoe is discussed did cause me to get emotional。 I really felt their loss， which is never easy。 So kudos to Ms。 Adair for writing this tale so well！ If you enjoy spicy romcom’s ， interesting characters with detailed stories themselves then I highly recommend Faux Beau。 Grab a glass of wine and set aside time to just enjoy being at Sierra Vista with Millie and Jax and the rest of the motley crew。*I would like to thank the author for supplying a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review* 。。。more

I really enjoyed this newest book （and first in a new series） from Marina Adair。 I love a fake relationship trope， so I knew right away this one was going to be for me。 I’ve come to expect fun， small town romance series from Marina Adair， and she definitely delivered once again。 This first book introduces us to the new town of Sierra Vista and the folks （and potential future couples） in addition to our main couple， Jax and Milly。I enjoyed seeing Jax and Milly’s story unfold from one night stand， I really enjoyed this newest book （and first in a new series） from Marina Adair。 I love a fake relationship trope， so I knew right away this one was going to be for me。 I’ve come to expect fun， small town romance series from Marina Adair， and she definitely delivered once again。 This first book introduces us to the new town of Sierra Vista and the folks （and potential future couples） in addition to our main couple， Jax and Milly。I enjoyed seeing Jax and Milly’s story unfold from one night stand， to friendly faux-mance and more。 I always enjoy how Adair’s books balance the romcom， light vibe with some heavier topics woven in。 It was good to see Jax working through his abandonment issues and Milly working through her grief。 I’m really looking forward to the next book and finding out more about Kat and Nolan in the next book。Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read an early copy of the book！ 。。。more

This is a perfect Winter read， set in a cosy， mountain community with lots of snow。 It’s starts off at a difficult moment in Milly’s life。 She’s lost her sister after a battle with cancer and is struggling with her grief。 Jax， a childhood friend， reappears as she is celebrating her sister’s life and suddenly everything changes。 Jax has his own issues， dealing with a negligent mother and afraid to let his adopted family get close to him。 Somehow these two wounded souls find a way to be together， This is a perfect Winter read， set in a cosy， mountain community with lots of snow。 It’s starts off at a difficult moment in Milly’s life。 She’s lost her sister after a battle with cancer and is struggling with her grief。 Jax， a childhood friend， reappears as she is celebrating her sister’s life and suddenly everything changes。 Jax has his own issues， dealing with a negligent mother and afraid to let his adopted family get close to him。 Somehow these two wounded souls find a way to be together， despite all their insecurities and hang ups。 This book is rich in both humour and emotion - I laughed， I cried， but ultimately was left feeling hopeful and happy。 Jax and Millie’s story is a joy to read and I can’t wait for the next book in the story！ 。。。more
