Summary
If you want to change the world， start off by making your bed。
If you make your bed every morning， you will have accomplished the first task of the day。 It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another。 By the end of the day， that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed。 Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter。 I you can't do the little things right， you will never do the big things right。

Much respect to Admiral McRaven for his service。 However， this book？ Drivel & generic; what lessons can one take from this？ Very basic as fuck: stand up to bullies， be your best in your darkest moments， teamwork matters， uplift your fellow man （sic; toxic masculinity， anyone？）， respect everyone， don’t judge， take risks， make your bed， don’t give up。 Common sense drivel: no real direction or actionable advice。 The only sensible lessons to take away is don’t quit （although in some life situations Much respect to Admiral McRaven for his service。 However， this book？ Drivel & generic; what lessons can one take from this？ Very basic as fuck: stand up to bullies， be your best in your darkest moments， teamwork matters， uplift your fellow man （sic; toxic masculinity， anyone？）， respect everyone， don’t judge， take risks， make your bed， don’t give up。 Common sense drivel: no real direction or actionable advice。 The only sensible lessons to take away is don’t quit （although in some life situations quitting may be the smart move） and make your bed…more so， start a day with a task accomplished， though it shouldn’t be necessarily to make the bed （some structure is alright， but an element of chaos sparks the creative mind！）。 The worst advice， I found， is “be your very best in your darkest hour” — can’t get more generic and whitewashed than that。 I guess folks who had committed suicide in the darkest depth of their depression didn’t look deep enough to find their very best … 🤷♂️ 。。。more
