The introduction of a new character in the Group 15 saga is a pleasant experience， akin to a trusted friend introducing you to their good friend， and surprisingly， this person is certainly worthwhile to know。 These books are usually used as a set up for an even larger reveal in the main Milton saga， this is shaping up to be something special。 I like Charlie， he's a personable guy， not as dower and sober as Milton， and I'm referring to his personality， not his drinking。 This story is a nice intro The introduction of a new character in the Group 15 saga is a pleasant experience， akin to a trusted friend introducing you to their good friend， and surprisingly， this person is certainly worthwhile to know。 These books are usually used as a set up for an even larger reveal in the main Milton saga， this is shaping up to be something special。 I like Charlie， he's a personable guy， not as dower and sober as Milton， and I'm referring to his personality， not his drinking。 This story is a nice intro， nothing too elaborate， it sets the stage for whatever is to come but leaves enough to be fleshed out in the future。 Cooper is well qualified for his position in the Group， coming from the intelligence side of the spectrum rather than the military side。 It's a contrast that I'm sure will have a great impact on the upcoming Milton novel since he's out in the cold once more and the mole in the Group is making life miserable for our favorite alcoholic。 I'm looking forward to reading more about Charlie and seeing exactly what Dawson has in store for one of my favorite characters。 As always， the results speak for themselves， and they speak very well。 。。。more

Well written as usual from Mark Dawson。 Not a fan of novellas。 Picked this just to fill a bit of time during Xmas break。 Story line OK。Wished he had spent the time writing Atticus Priest follow up。

Sandstorm is a novella to start a new series on Charlie Cooper， a member of Group 15。 Cooper was number 11 when Milton was number 1。 Another page turner from Mark Dawson and Milton and other characters from this universe make a guest appearance。 Looking forward to reading more of the new series。
