Two made for each otherMike and Gerty were good friends as teenagers。 He went to college and then joined the Marines to be a helicopter pilot。 She traveled all over being a farrier and a year in the rodeo as a barrel racer。 After being injured Mike returns home。 Gerty returned home after breaking her engagement。 This is their love story。

Mike and Gerty It took a long time and many distractions and events for Gerty and Mikey to finally come together and discover their love for each other。 Gerty certainly had some issues to resolve。 I love how well her character is developed。 Mike had to work through things too。 I love that his character had to deal with realistic problems。 I was very happy that they were finally able to figure out how to work with their lifestyles and be together。

His Fifth Kiss was everything I wanted Mike & Gerty’s story to be。 This story just made you feel good and want to sit a spell and stay forever。 I love how the author brings the family’s from her other books into the story and you can get caught with the how the family has evolved。 Get comfortable， cozy and prepare to not move again till you finish this wonderful book。 You will be so glad you did。 This one is amazing。

Another great story about the Hammond。 Mike was a military helicopter pilot who was injured in an accident。 He came back to the family farm to see a new specialist about his shoulder。 He hoped that Gertie would be there and she was。 They had been friends since high school， nearly 14 years ago。 She was a farrier， and had just broken up with her unfaithful fiancé。 Sparks fly from the beginning， but each had healing to do。 I received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review。

This was a heartwarming read highlighting previously seen characters， Michael Hammond and Gerty Whettstein。 Michael became military pilot who is injured and Gerty spends years working with horses and becoming a farrier。 They both have issues to overcome as past feelings resurface and continue to grow。 Another winner from Liz Isaacson。

This is the first book I have read in this series。 I will be going back to start with book 1。 I enjoyed Mike and Gerty's story。 I liked how they reconnected after being apart for so long。 I also liked that there wasn't a ton of awkward moments as their relationship developed。 I was surprised during the scene with James。 If he "wore a look of complete bewilderment"， how was anyone sure of his guilt？ There was never a confirmation or denial that came from James。 The situation felt more like it was This is the first book I have read in this series。 I will be going back to start with book 1。 I enjoyed Mike and Gerty's story。 I liked how they reconnected after being apart for so long。 I also liked that there wasn't a ton of awkward moments as their relationship developed。 I was surprised during the scene with James。 If he "wore a look of complete bewilderment"， how was anyone sure of his guilt？ There was never a confirmation or denial that came from James。 The situation felt more like it was based on assumption and not fact。 That bothered me a bit。This was not a slow burn。 It was watching a relationship grow and develop as both Mike and Gerty dealt with their issues。 I liked that they depended on their faith to help them through the difficult times。The book provides a strong sense of family， friendship， and loyalty。 Sometimes with the family aspect being overwhelming to both Mike and Gerty in spite of how much they loved their families。This was a sweet second chance romance with a special HEA。I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book。 。。。more
