I can’t help be left feeling disappointed by this book。 The blurb for Ravaged Innocence hooked me and I did really like the characters and how， despite her fear Avery didn’t cower before Luka but I’ve been left feeling that I’ve only read half a book and what I did read seemed to be a repeat cycle of Avery swearing at Luka， only for Luka to spank her before they have mad， passionate sex。 Luka’s career choice of Bratva hitman is almost irrelevant to the story and anything that happened relating t I can’t help be left feeling disappointed by this book。 The blurb for Ravaged Innocence hooked me and I did really like the characters and how， despite her fear Avery didn’t cower before Luka but I’ve been left feeling that I’ve only read half a book and what I did read seemed to be a repeat cycle of Avery swearing at Luka， only for Luka to spank her before they have mad， passionate sex。 Luka’s career choice of Bratva hitman is almost irrelevant to the story and anything that happened relating to his job or the mafia occurred off-page so to speak。 For me this element of the book could’ve been developed so much more and been an actual part of the story especially considering Luka’s reason for being in the US does eventually impact on his relationship with Avery to the extent of putting her life in danger。 I know this is the third book in the Innocent Brides series so maybe there’s a lot more background but I’m not sure if I’ll be reading them to find out。 。。。more
