I think this is my new favorite book。 This book has all my favorite aspects。 Romance， angst， tough times and reconnecting。 The main characters are truly well written。 Harbors love for Lark shows no bounds。 Lark is a strong woman that overcomes many obstacles and goes after the life she wants。 Although it is agonizing watching them develop it really is a beautiful love story。 I would highly recommend this book。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 4。5 stars！ From the very first page you know this book is going to be a rollercoaster of emotions。 You can’t help but root for both Lark and Harbor with their very different backgrounds and setbacks。 Coming closer to the end of the book I wasn’t sure where the main characters were going to end up which was a pleasant surprise from SL Scott。 She kept me thinking a happily ever after might not be in the cards for Lark and Harbor。 Definitely a book I would recommend; just like all her others！

I was eagerly waiting for this to hit my e-reader and I'm so glad that when it landed， I was on leave from work because I IMMEDIATELY jumped in to start reading and didn't surface until I got to the end， and this is so worth the book hangover！ I absolutely LOVED both Harbor and Lark， on their own and whenever they were with each other。 They have amazing chemistry and didn't really have that awkward phase that sometimes happens when you're getting to know someone。 As great as they are for each ot I was eagerly waiting for this to hit my e-reader and I'm so glad that when it landed， I was on leave from work because I IMMEDIATELY jumped in to start reading and didn't surface until I got to the end， and this is so worth the book hangover！ I absolutely LOVED both Harbor and Lark， on their own and whenever they were with each other。 They have amazing chemistry and didn't really have that awkward phase that sometimes happens when you're getting to know someone。 As great as they are for each other， they've both got their personal issues to work through as well as working towards building that lasting forever they want as a couple。 。。。more

S L Scott is a go to author for me and Swear On My Life is another example of why！ Harbor and Lark have an awesome meet cute/moment of destiny when they are college seniors。 They are a bit of an unlikely couple - he with baggage and wealth， she the excellent scholarship student trying to make ends meet and reach for her dreams。I loved the instant connection between these two。 Even when their individual demons got in the way， I appreciated the way they chose to fight for each other。 Ms Scott’s ex S L Scott is a go to author for me and Swear On My Life is another example of why！ Harbor and Lark have an awesome meet cute/moment of destiny when they are college seniors。 They are a bit of an unlikely couple - he with baggage and wealth， she the excellent scholarship student trying to make ends meet and reach for her dreams。I loved the instant connection between these two。 Even when their individual demons got in the way， I appreciated the way they chose to fight for each other。 Ms Scott’s excellent story telling pulled me in with these two and I found myself frustrated with pesky things like work that kept me from getting to spend time with them！ There are twists and turns and the path of love is not easy for these two。 I don’t agree with the way Harbor handled things， but I believe he did the best he could at 22。 We see a definite element of right person， wrong time and second chances here。 If I loved this book - why only 4 stars？ There were a couple of places where the story felt a bit disjointed。 Like somehow in the editing process information was moved and the transitions around it weren’t fully smoothed out。 It wasn’t anything that kept me from becoming invested in the story， but it did pull me from the reading experience briefly while I tried to figure out if I missed something。Swear on My Life is a excellent standalone read that introduces brand new characters。 This is a definite must read for both new readers and loyal Scott fans alike。 。。。more

Ok you got me at the Maserati！ Harbor is from the wealthy side of town and enjoys all the things that his family's money has given him including a fancy car and a great education。 Wren struggles but works hard to get ahead as she dreams of becoming a doctor。 When they meet Two worlds collide and their futures are irrevocably linked。 Despite his sketchy past when Harbor meets Wren he is determined to become a better man for her becomes even if it means sacrificing himself and his future and I adm Ok you got me at the Maserati！ Harbor is from the wealthy side of town and enjoys all the things that his family's money has given him including a fancy car and a great education。 Wren struggles but works hard to get ahead as she dreams of becoming a doctor。 When they meet Two worlds collide and their futures are irrevocably linked。 Despite his sketchy past when Harbor meets Wren he is determined to become a better man for her becomes even if it means sacrificing himself and his future and I admired Wren for her strength and determination to succeed despite the odds stacked against her。 Sadly they both have demons from their pasts that they are battling but they don't ever come between them but instead are something they can share and overcome with each other's support， and surprisingly for a wrong side of town story they both had the love and support of their families。 I was brought to tears by parts of this really emotional love story and Harbor and Wren's struggles。 It is difficult to say much without giving the story away， but Ms Scott is an amazing writer， and is able to weave a story that will draw you in and not let go。 This is not my favourite of her books as I love her rock star romances but for those who love a heart rending angsty love story this is for you。 。。。more
