a little slow to get to the interesting parts but once it was lively, it was a good book

Yang saya suka disini Romance antara si J sama Milly, manis juga walaupun kurang banyak, twist-nya juga lumayan dapet, enjoy sih bacanya, seleraaaa 🙏👌

How can you be 200 pages into a 325 pg book and still not a damn thing has happened。 And that ending, talk about far fetched and ridiculous。 The only thing that saved this was my love for enemies to lovers trope。

what a captivating story with twists and turns。 This book was a real page turner and i got myself grasping for more。 My mind was fixed on this plot during reading。 The mysterious dark atmosphere this book provides is captivating whist contrasting with the summery island setting。 I would recommend this to someone who loves we were liars or someone who just needs a good mystery mind boggingly good story line。 Karen M。McManus has done it again guys, and this time she has smashed it out of the park。 what a captivating story with twists and turns。 This book was a real page turner and i got myself grasping for more。 My mind was fixed on this plot during reading。 The mysterious dark atmosphere this book provides is captivating whist contrasting with the summery island setting。 I would recommend this to someone who loves we were liars or someone who just needs a good mystery mind boggingly good story line。 Karen M。McManus has done it again guys, and this time she has smashed it out of the park。 ⭐⭐⭐⭐。7/5 ❤️🖤🤍 。。。more

a fun, short story with a lot of twists and turns。 Had that YA mystery charm, but left me wanting a little bit more in terms of depth and relationships between the family and the characters。

I felt like I was a detective in this book。 The family tree is all A names which make you really have to focus on every chapter your read。 Furthermore, it is also told in a duel timeline, one 1996 and current time so I guess 2021。 I figured out one person that get killed by the right person。 There was a lot of silt of hand foreshadowing which I loved because if you're not paying attention then you will miss it altogether。 So I am shocked that I got the foreshadowing of each duel timeline。 These I felt like I was a detective in this book。 The family tree is all A names which make you really have to focus on every chapter your read。 Furthermore, it is also told in a duel timeline, one 1996 and current time so I guess 2021。 I figured out one person that get killed by the right person。 There was a lot of silt of hand foreshadowing which I loved because if you're not paying attention then you will miss it altogether。 So I am shocked that I got the foreshadowing of each duel timeline。 These timelines actually collaborate in a very smooth way。 Don't do not need to go back and forward through the chapters。 Which I loved because it was so soft, I did have some suspensions about a man that could have killed someone but I didn't get it。 The book makes you think when you are in the book wanting to take notes and wanting to go back to the family tree over and over again, Due to the fact they add characters that are friends or important to the people from the family tree。 Overall I will want to send this to a friend to have them try to figure out the mystery。 Let me know on the page you predicted all of the murders and who did them and why they killed the certain person。 。。。more

4。5 ⭐️ the plot was phenomenal。 I bunch of unexpected plot twists but I didn’t really connect with the characters I felt like they didn’t have any depth。 This happened to me with the previous Karen m。 McManus book I’ve read。

This YA mystery thriller throws the reader around so many twists and turns, that when a surprise twisted ending happens, you feel like you've survived the most thrilling rollercoaster ride ever。 This YA mystery thriller throws the reader around so many twists and turns, that when a surprise twisted ending happens, you feel like you've survived the most thrilling rollercoaster ride ever。 。。。more

so good!! i loved the plot, and the only thing that bothered me was how many secrets there were that i was worried would go unresolved by the end of the book, but that was not the case。 every little detail and secret was very interesting and led to a great ending。 i’m glad that every problem was solved in the end, although i felt the climax was a bit rushed。 but, i wish the resolution to the Story family drama wasn’t just something as anticlimactic as what it was, because there were things hinte so good!! i loved the plot, and the only thing that bothered me was how many secrets there were that i was worried would go unresolved by the end of the book, but that was not the case。 every little detail and secret was very interesting and led to a great ending。 i’m glad that every problem was solved in the end, although i felt the climax was a bit rushed。 but, i wish the resolution to the Story family drama wasn’t just something as anticlimactic as what it was, because there were things hinted at in the book along the way that would’ve made for a more interesting ending。 overall, a very interesting and complex read! 。。。more

3。5 rounded up because I actually turned off the tv to read during the day and at night。 I actually didn’t see this coming as I did with some of her others books。 I suspected part of it, but some of the stuff actually was a twist。 Definitely a book for the details。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 3。5 stars。A very enjoyable read and the first K。 McManus book I ever read。 It was a 4 stars rating for me until I realised how implausible the twist is。。。 Wouldn't Theresa's friends and relatives be confused when she just disappeared without any explanation? And wouldn't the island inhabitants realise how Mildred who often attend parties and social gatherings look so different or at least ask where she went when she rarely shows up anymore? I don't think they'll be able to keep the ruse for 20+ 3。5 stars。A very enjoyable read and the first K。 McManus book I ever read。 It was a 4 stars rating for me until I realised how implausible the twist is。。。 Wouldn't Theresa's friends and relatives be confused when she just disappeared without any explanation? I don't think they'll be able to keep the ruse for 20+ years。 And knowing how aggressive the Story children can be, I'm surprised that they didn't just barge into Catmint House and demand to meet their mother。 A letter saying "I know what you did", a disinheritance, and an overbearing lawyer wouldn't have stopped them。 I do enjoy the theme of forgiveness and letting go of the past。 。。。more

Catching up on my Karen McManus in honor of the new season of "One of Us is Lying" on Netflix (!); let it be known I am a sucker for a YA mystery, especially one that involves a convoluted family saga。 That said, I'm bummed to say this is likely my least favorite of her published bunch -- it read too soap opera-y for me to get invested, and the pace is oddly slow despite the action that's packed inside。 It happens -- they can't all be winners! I didn’t enjoy the Cousins as much as I’ve enjoyed Karen M McManus’ other books, as I found it a bit boring。 I didn’t really care about the storyline, or the characters, and wasn’t too shocked by the resolution。

I liked the storyline a lot, which is why i read this book in 2 days, but it didn’t give me a “wow” feeling。 It was a nice read and the ending was also fun to read, but i did not find it as thrilling as the first 3 books。 So i’m giving this book stars, because i still really enjoyed reading it。

That’s a boring book。in my opinion the only good book she has is one of us is lying and that’s it。
