I like a pep talk as much as the next lady， especially if I’m having a “what am I doing with my life？” moment。 Self-help books can be inspirational and motivational。 If you’re lucky， they strike a chord somewhere inside you and keep your attention long enough to finish the book。 Maybe you will gain some insight or be pointed in a direction that helps you walk your path。Michelle Kulp tried to organize a team of entrepreneurs to share their stories and help the poor reader find direction。 I say “t I like a pep talk as much as the next lady， especially if I’m having a “what am I doing with my life？” moment。 Self-help books can be inspirational and motivational。 If you’re lucky， they strike a chord somewhere inside you and keep your attention long enough to finish the book。 Maybe you will gain some insight or be pointed in a direction that helps you walk your path。Michelle Kulp tried to organize a team of entrepreneurs to share their stories and help the poor reader find direction。 I say “tried” because some of the entrepreneurs she solicited failed to motivate me in a positive way。This book contains the narratives from 13 self-starters。 A few of them made excellent points and were able to tell their stories in a way that got me thinking about new directions for my professional advancement。 However， several of these “professionals” lacked the tact and mature language employed by most adults when discussing their careers。 I like to use swear words at times， especially since they can best convey my sentiment。 I don’t think they belong in a book trying to give career advice。Kulp herself composed one of the best chapters of the book。 If you have to read this book， skip to her section。 。。。more
