An intense situation for the main character as he can’t control his bear any longer， and has been deemed feral。 Thought the main characters both August and Hazel connection was fantastic as she tries to push his buttons， she knows deep he would never hurt her， she felt the truth long before it was evident。 Interesting as none of the Hunters have found their mate either， I see potential in many books in this series。 I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free。

Always inventive fun。This time August “Gus” has gone feral and is being hunted to be put down by the Foxhounds （his brother is one of them） after an epic battle， he ends up in a dumpster nekkid （of course）。 Hazel， the new waitress in town takes him home （upstairs）。 Of course she’s his mate。 Crazy fun with steam and some shifter on shifter action （the fighting kind）。 Recommend。Borrowed on KU。

This was a bit of an intense series opener with August moments away from being killed for becoming feral （kind of getting super nasty/insane for not finding his mate）。 The anguish and heart ache were real for me。 Thankfully， Hazel found him and nurtured him back to health。。。and kept him from giving up。 She was all 'momma bear' defending him and I loved that about her。 The squad out hunting him down included his brother and a fab Canadian wolf shifter that got referred to as the French Ninja - I This was a bit of an intense series opener with August moments away from being killed for becoming feral （kind of getting super nasty/insane for not finding his mate）。 The anguish and heart ache were real for me。 Thankfully， Hazel found him and nurtured him back to health。。。and kept him from giving up。 She was all 'momma bear' defending him and I loved that about her。 The squad out hunting him down included his brother and a fab Canadian wolf shifter that got referred to as the French Ninja - I absolutely loved this humour to help balance out the grimness of August's situation。 I inhaled this book in one go and really look forward to the next book :D 。。。more
