A great overview。I watch a couple of channels on YouTube that deal with the British royal family and with England in general。 Their way of government and court system is fascinating。 Some of favorite fiction readings are books dealing with the era of Queen Victoria’s rule。 To think she was Queen during our Civil War up to the turn of the century is mind blowing。 These books are a wonderful overview of both topics if you are a history buff these would be ones you would enjoy reading。 America is a A great overview。I watch a couple of channels on YouTube that deal with the British royal family and with England in general。 Their way of government and court system is fascinating。 Some of favorite fiction readings are books dealing with the era of Queen Victoria’s rule。 To think she was Queen during our Civil War up to the turn of the century is mind blowing。 These books are a wonderful overview of both topics if you are a history buff these would be ones you would enjoy reading。 America is a child of England set free by her fight for freedom it is still important to know who we came from to understand who we are。 I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it。 。。。more

Really enjoyed this book which is in two parts - The British Empire and Queen Victoria。 I was surprised at how many Colonies the British Empire consisted of at one time。 The nice thing is you can dip into any one chapter of interest。 Very well laid out。 I particularly liked the Queen Victoria volume and the impact of the Victorian era。 It is well structured with some lovely quotes from Queen Victoria This is another great Captivating History book which makes for a great read。
