This was the perfect book for my preschool-aged Grinch fans。 The short， rhyming text is perfect for their attention spans， and the many flaps keep them happily entertained。 The story is simplified a lot， so it works best for those who already know the story or have seen the cartoon version which plays on repeat in our house during the holidays （and not only）！

I can't believe I'm actually posting this， but since I have a personal rule that any and all books I read get a review， here it be （I originally had this on an account where I posted reviews and ratings for all kinds of books before creating this one）。The guy and I were at a Wally World looking at the books， and we thought this might be somewhat of a novelization of the classic short。 It only sort of was。The rewording was cringe-worthy。 It also felt rushed。Obviously this is a young child's book， I can't believe I'm actually posting this， but since I have a personal rule that any and all books I read get a review， here it be （I originally had this on an account where I posted reviews and ratings for all kinds of books before creating this one）。The guy and I were at a Wally World looking at the books， and we thought this might be somewhat of a novelization of the classic short。 It only sort of was。The rewording was cringe-worthy。 It also felt rushed。Obviously this is a young child's book， so I understand that to make it short， they have to omit stuff and shorten sentences， but it didn't work。Oy。 I vowed years ago I'd never read another children's book again till I was reading one to my kids， and here I am posting a mildly critical review of one。Quick！ Someone hand me a good book！ 。。。more
