While I came into this series late at book 4， I was still able to follow the characters。 I loved the plot。 Cain and Harlow are great together。 Chemistry is there and can be felt。 The book is well written though I disagree with what happened to the team at the end。 This one I couldn’t put down once I started reading。 I do plan to go back and read the other books in this series。 I can’t wait for what the author had next for us！I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book。

A solid ending to this series。 Harlow and Cain were great characters。 There was lots of suspense， twists and turns and a fast-paced plot that kept things very interesting。 Lots of shady deals and bad guys that kept this reader thoroughly entertained。

I love reading books like this one！ Lori Matthew’s is a author who consistently delivers books with action that cause my pulse to keep ratcheting up as my adrenaline rushes from nonstop suspense！ The two main characters， Harlow and Cain， are complex， intelligent and dealing with past hurts。 Harlow is risking her life to search for answers in why her brother Perry and his SEAL team were killed in Iraq。 Cain was the sole survivor of the IED attack on the SEAL team and he suffers from survivor’s gu I love reading books like this one！ Lori Matthew’s is a author who consistently delivers books with action that cause my pulse to keep ratcheting up as my adrenaline rushes from nonstop suspense！ The two main characters， Harlow and Cain， are complex， intelligent and dealing with past hurts。 Harlow is risking her life to search for answers in why her brother Perry and his SEAL team were killed in Iraq。 Cain was the sole survivor of the IED attack on the SEAL team and he suffers from survivor’s guilt。 He was temporarily assigned to Perry’s team and had quickly formed a tight bond。 He was attracted to Harlow for the first night he met her， before Perry warned him off。 When Cain walks into the med bay with his Coast Guard spec ops team the last person he expects to see is Harlow。 She is the mysterious woman who was found as a stowaway on a container ship that was damaged during a storm。 His team quickly learns and is blown away to learn what she’s been up to and what she has discovered。 Cain is beside himself in frustration and anger when it becomes apparent Harlow needs to come with his team both for her safety and because of the knowledge only she has about the men moving billions of stolen US currency。The storyline quickly grabs your attention and keeps it as it takes unexpected and breathtaking turns。 The Coast Guard Recon team are on the hunt and need the help of a few characters from the Callahan Security series to help them wrap up the bad guys。I’ve only read a few of the prior books in the series， so I can say this book can definitely be read as a standalone， but I’m sure it would have been even more satisfying having read the prior books for more background on Cain’s teammates and the prior operations that are mentioned。I received a free ARC from the author and Hidden Gems; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review。 。。。more

This was a great way to wrap up this series。 Harlow is a fierce and determined young lady。 She wants to avenge the death of her brother and his military team。 Cain and his Coast Guard RECON team come to her rescue and begin an action packed play to track down the killers。 The team gets to wrap up all their loose ends while Harlow and Cain fall in love。 The story is fast paced with lots of detail that will keep you entertained。

This is book five and the end of this series。 Bitter sweet for me as I loved the team and the dynamics。 This book is just as good as all the rest with nonstop action。 This was Cains story and boy it sure had its moments！ A total must read book and series in my opinion。 I received an ARC and I’m leaving this review voluntarily。
