A One Sitting ReadThis is one of those books that you can’t put down and must finish reading in one sitting。 Laugh out loud moments, evil on the loose and loads of action, made for a very intriguing read。 Another wonderful book for the Fi and clan collection that is a must read。

Thank GAWD she doesn’t disappoint。 Ok, all joking aside, I take nothing for granted and I am a huge fan。 This book tries something new to the series。 On thing about Clan Cumhaill, they are a hilarious bunch of very real, sometimes outrageous personalities… and it never stops。 But apparently it does。 This story is most definitely NOT all fun and games。 Much of the humor is noticeably absent。 The book starts OUT as normal, and there are some FUNNY moments, including an incredibly CATTY scene between Fi and another woman in which neither says a single word。 It’s awesomesauce in a bottle and poured on a page, totally amazeballs。 But that’s what we expect。 And then everything changes。 The writing in this book has a tension。 The characters have tension。 Hell! I was loving the story, and even I was feeling the tension。 So there’s not a lot of laughs here。 It works well, though, especially when one considers the context of the story。 It also has the added benefit of giving an extra punch to those comic lines and moments when they DO appear。 This line for example, made me chuckle for a little while: “Fi, he’s your pet。 Go fix him。” You have to be there, but luckily for you, you WILL be there once you pick up the book。 I also want to weigh in on a certain disagreement in the book and clearly state that in my opinion Fi, YOU WERE RIGHT! That WAS funny。 That was funnier than s**t, even if it was horrifying and disturbing。 Just ask Emmett。 He’ll agree with us。Start with The Gilded Cage and read the whole darn series。 You’ll love it and be glad that you did。 。。。more

A wild rideLoved this so muchThis book takes Fi out of her element and puts her on uneven footing with the well estaished New Orleans empowered community。 Can she save those she hold most dear to her?Filled with lots of laughs and full of love and snark。

I love how much family means to everyone in these (but how we don't get toxic bs of how families need to suffer to make each other happy)。And all of the stories I have read that include reworkings of any gods, this is probably my favourite。 I love Dionysus so much he is such a sweetie。 I love how much family means to everyone in these (but how we don't get toxic bs of how families need to suffer to make each other happy)。And all of the stories I have read that include reworkings of any gods, this is probably my favourite。 I love Dionysus so much he is such a sweetie。 。。。more
