Book three in the Creektown Discoveries series can be read as a standalone。 However it will make more sense if you read books one and two; The Walnut Creek Wish and The Sugarcreek Surprise。In The Apple Creek Announcement we meet old friends Orley and Lois。 I’ve come to love them! Such good hearted people who care for others so much that they find unique ways of helping people。 And we meet new friends Andrea and Brandon who are dealing with life issues and a relationship that becomes rocky。 Well Book three in the Creektown Discoveries series can be read as a standalone。 However it will make more sense if you read books one and two; The Walnut Creek Wish and The Sugarcreek Surprise。In The Apple Creek Announcement we meet old friends Orley and Lois。 I’ve come to love them! The Apple Creek Announcement, by Wanda E。 Brunstetter, is book three in the Creektown Discoveries series。 This is a nice story that takes over after the rest in the series, so it is best to read them in order。 The author does a wonderful job with this story, so it is also a nice stand alone story。 This one focuses on engaged couple Andrea and Brandon。 When Andrea accidently finds out she was adopted, she goes on the hunt for her birthmother and postpones the wedding。This is a fun and enjoyable s The Apple Creek Announcement, by Wanda E。 Brunstetter, is book three in the Creektown Discoveries series。 This is a nice story that takes over after the rest in the series, so it is best to read them in order。 The author does a wonderful job with this story, so it is also a nice stand alone story。 This one focuses on engaged couple Andrea and Brandon。 When Andrea accidently finds out she was adopted, she goes on the hunt for her birthmother and postpones the wedding。This is a fun and enjoyable story to read。 I enjoy the shop keepers and their desire to help others。 It’s nice to see how careful Lois is with answering the letters for her column and how Orley wishes he could help more people。 This is a wonderful story that gives a look into what it might be like for a person who is finding out their past is not what they thought。 I enjoyed the parts of Andrea as she tries to handle her normal activities and look for her mother at the same time。I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review。 。。。more

Apple Creek, Ohio。  A place I want to visit。  A wonderful place to call home。This is Book 3 of the series。  You could read by itself but I recommend reading all three in order。  You are re-introduced to Lois and Orley。  They are a wonderful Amish couple who run the antique store。  Their love for each other spills over onto others。  Andrea had her life planned out。  Until she found out the circumstances of her birth。  This news confuses and overwhelms her。  Everything is not the way it seems。  I Apple Creek, Ohio。  A place I want to visit。  A wonderful place to call home。This is Book 3 of the series。  You could read by itself but I recommend reading all three in order。  You are re-introduced to Lois and Orley。  They are a wonderful Amish couple who run the antique store。  Their love for each other spills over onto others。  Andrea had her life planned out。  Until she found out the circumstances of her birth。  This news confuses and overwhelms her。  Everything is not the way it seems。  I loved the book。  I was quite surprised by the ending。  You will be, too。I received this book from Wanda Brunstetter's Clippity Clop Club to review。 。。。more

The third book in the Creektown Discoveries series by Wanda。 A story about a young woman who loves to paint Amish scenes and eventually finds out from her parents she was Amish and adopted。 She has to rely on her Faith to accept her new found heritage。 An easy read with love and friendship and spiritual relationships。 Another great series written by Wanda Brunstetter。

I like to read Wanda Brunstetter‘s novels because they represent a simple Amish lifestyle, represent Christian values, and speak about a problem being solved。 Orley and Lois, of Memory Antiques, are in this book and looking for people to help。 What a great idea to wake up every morning and ask God to send somebody along your path for you to help。 The lady at the antique shop writes a column for the newspaper called, Dear Caroline, where she answers questions written anonymously, when people wrigh I like to read Wanda Brunstetter‘s novels because they represent a simple Amish lifestyle, represent Christian values, and speak about a problem being solved。 Orley and Lois, of Memory Antiques, are in this book and looking for people to help。 What a great idea to wake up every morning and ask God to send somebody along your path for you to help。 The lady at the antique shop writes a column for the newspaper called, Dear Caroline, where she answers questions written anonymously, when people wright in to the newspaper。 It’s her way to help people that God sends her way This book speaks to pet care and pet confrontations resolved; adoption with a very late accidental notification by a cousin, which causes many mixed emotions; and a wedding being planned by the parents and then the kids take over and then there are some conflicts。 It all ends with a very big surprise that I really enjoyed。 I like this book because the author goes into the emotions of the characters and allows them to have bad feelings and then we see them come out of those into a positive response。 Enjoy the book! Be ready for a surprise ending (but no peeking)。 A throughly enjoyable story and I look forward to more by this author with these characters included。I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise。 。。。more

I think it’s a beauty, don’t you?” From his kneeling position, Orley Troyer pointed to the vintage oak office chair he’d purchased at a family-run estate sale he and his wife had visited earlier in the day。“I’d say so, and it appears to be in quite good condition。 Not only that, but you got the chair for a fair price,” Lois responded。 She held up an old washboard she had found at the sale。 “But this is one of my favorite items。 I don’t know if you noticed, but the lettering on the backside of the board looks pretty clear。”Orley nodded。 “Now we need to put these items on display in our store。”“I’ll place the washboard with the kitchen items, and you can move the chair over with the furniture。”I recommend reading。The Apple Creek Announcement by Wanda E。 Brunstetter is a wonderful well written 5 star book。I am looking forward to reading more books by Wanda E。 Brunstetter。"I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review。"Other books in the series:The Walnut Creek WishThe Sugarcreek Surprise 。。。more

The Apple Creek Announcement is the third in the Creektown Discovery series。 I'd not read the first two and this one easily stands alone。 From the beginning you are a bit puzzled as to how the story of Lois and Orley, and Andrea and Brandon are connected - an older Amish couple and a newly engaged English couple。 I found myself rather puzzled until the point at which Andrea learns she is adopted and the pieces started to fit together。Lois and Orley seem like a fun Amish couple - they enjoy each The Apple Creek Announcement is the third in the Creektown Discovery series。 I'd not read the first two and this one easily stands alone。 From the beginning you are a bit puzzled as to how the story of Lois and Orley, and Andrea and Brandon are connected - an older Amish couple and a newly engaged English couple。 I found myself rather puzzled until the point at which Andrea learns she is adopted and the pieces started to fit together。Lois and Orley seem like a fun Amish couple - they enjoy each other's company, their work at the antiques store and helping others。 Lois responds to letters addressed to Dear Caroline at the local newspaper and Orley lends a listening ear offering advice to those who care to share with him when they visit the store。 Orley is fun-loving and Lois patches up his bumps and bruises received during his cold-weather activities。Andrea and Brendan are a newly engaged couple - Brendan is the local vet and Andrea is a piano teacher and artist。 They enjoy visiting with family, spending time with each other, planning their wedding, and trying to get their pets to like each other。 When Andrea discovers she is adopted she becomes so focused on finding her birth mother that she seemingly turns her back on her adoptive parents and Brendan, putting herself first above all others, very much frustrating Brendan and jeopardizing their future together。This is a story of love, faith, forgiveness and perseverance。 It is a quick read and a book that you don't want to put down until you know how the story ends。 I recommend taking the time to read and discover the lessons within the Apple Creek Announcement。 I will look forward to reading more of Ms。 Brunstetter's books。 。。。more
