This is another fantastically written story by Lola Glass and I couldn’t put it down。This story starts in the middle of the action。 Diora， Akari and Vena have spent the last 21 years in chains and at the start have just escaped their tormentors。 They were forced to take on the King's sons separate magics， then then kept captive while others tried to use that magic or extract it from them。 Their plan is to each kill the King who's magic they have （so they can truly feel free）; and the story follo This is another fantastically written story by Lola Glass and I couldn’t put it down。This story starts in the middle of the action。 Diora， Akari and Vena have spent the last 21 years in chains and at the start have just escaped their tormentors。 They were forced to take on the King's sons separate magics， then then kept captive while others tried to use that magic or extract it from them。 Their plan is to each kill the King who's magic they have （so they can truly feel free）; and the story follows the youngest of the three， Diora， who finds things aren't quite that easy when she meets hers， Namir the Shadow King; who is nothing like she’d expected。 Some brilliant twists and lovely action throughout， I can’t wait for the second book in this series。I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Namir and Diora 💖This is a cute new start to a fae series by lola。 It was a really easy lighthearted read and i really enjoyed Diora's character in this she was somewhat a vulnerable character and didn't easily trust。 Namir wasn't a broody alpha male but he did become Possessive as their bond grew。Diora spent her life in captivity taken when she was a baby。 When three heirs to their fathers throne each received the thrones magic they couldn't handle the power along with their own magic so three Namir and Diora 💖This is a cute new start to a fae series by lola。 It was a really easy lighthearted read and i really enjoyed Diora's character in this she was somewhat a vulnerable character and didn't easily trust。 Namir wasn't a broody alpha male but he did become Possessive as their bond grew。Diora spent her life in captivity taken when she was a baby。 When three heirs to their fathers throne each received the thrones magic they couldn't handle the power along with their own magic so three female fae who had little to no magic were found and each received most of the heirs magic。 But all three women were taken captive and held for 20years enduring terrible torture as their captors tried to extract the magic within them and were unsuccessful。They managed to escape killing all their captors and then they each planned to find and kill the kind who had given their magic ultimately ruining their lives。Diora's magic unlike the other two had become so wild that she transformed into a shadow wolf when it took over and she couldn't control it。 When she came face to face with the king aka Namir she didn't expect to not be able to kill him because her magic which was also his couldn't attack it's own but what she also didn't expect to learn was that they were fated mates soemthing that was pretty rare。 But Diora has spent her whole life in captivity she knows nothing of the world and one thing she doesn't want is to trade one cage for another。Diora will have to decide if she wants to walk away or trust the king and let their bond form， time is not on their side， with the three brothers at war over the throne magic Namir will need Diora and their combined mqgic to have a chance at keeping his kingdom safe。 。。。more

Holy cow！ Miss Lola Glass has been hiding some creativity！！！ This is by far my favorite series starter from this author because wow！ So different， so powerful， so perfect！ I cannot wait until the next book！ This is a paperback Shelf book！Strong females √√ Lavee and Doors are who we wantSexy Alphahole √√ Jesh and Namir are it！ So good。I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。

This is a new world for this author and the world building is very interesting。 I found the magical premises interesting and the characters engaging。 I enjoyed the lead characters， Diora and Namir， as well as secondary couple， Lavee and Jesh。 I appreciated the challenges that both lead characters faced as they attempted to build a relationship and how the issue of trust was a huge obstacle for Diora， given her history。 This story is mainly female lead POV， with a couple of male lead POV chapters This is a new world for this author and the world building is very interesting。 I found the magical premises interesting and the characters engaging。 I enjoyed the lead characters， Diora and Namir， as well as secondary couple， Lavee and Jesh。 I appreciated the challenges that both lead characters faced as they attempted to build a relationship and how the issue of trust was a huge obstacle for Diora， given her history。 This story is mainly female lead POV， with a couple of male lead POV chapters that were， in my opinion， absolutely essential。 Whilst I prefer a more balanced split， I could appreciate what the author is doing。 The story is well written and I enjoyed it。I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

so I’m confusedI didn’t make it past the third chapter before I stopped and checked that this was a Lola Glass book。 Initially I thought this is different， then I thought I don’t like this at all。 I made it to the sixth chapter before I gave up。 This doesn’t feel like the author I’ve come to love reading。 I hate to say it but it’s definitely one of my least favorite books by her。
