Never failsThe PMA never gets it wrong！！ I LOVED this tale of a shy， awkward dragon and his strong beloved！！ Getting to see Kayog and his wife， and a cameo from a former PMA client was the icing on an oh so sweet cake！！ Regine Abel writes the best sci fi romance characters and worlds！

Kaida， the female human lead， is an enforcer working to protect citizens。 When her unit meets Cedros， the male dragon shifter lead， fighting shadow creatures， they assist him， then he claims her as his peace and salvation - the one being who can physically help him to calm， balance， and heal。 A temporary marriage is negotiated but Cedros wants more…This story is dual POV， well written， and a truly novel premise。 I appreciated the author’s clear writing to show the culture clash and the adjustmen Kaida， the female human lead， is an enforcer working to protect citizens。 When her unit meets Cedros， the male dragon shifter lead， fighting shadow creatures， they assist him， then he claims her as his peace and salvation - the one being who can physically help him to calm， balance， and heal。 A temporary marriage is negotiated but Cedros wants more…This story is dual POV， well written， and a truly novel premise。 I appreciated the author’s clear writing to show the culture clash and the adjustments that both lead characters had to constantly make， as well as the secondary character who flagged for Kaida that she needed to be accommodating too。 The relationship options between Kaida and Cedros in Cedros’ society where really interesting for me as well。 I enjoyed Cedros’ personality and temperament， and the way the enforced intimacy of his needs built their relationship in a way that would not otherwise have occurred。 I really enjoyed the intimate scenes。 A great story with a novel take on forced intimacy building bridges。 I would have loved to see a scene with Kaida calling out someone who wanted Cedros to use his powers for their benefit - maybe a bonus scene？I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest voluntary review。 。。。more

Low angst and lots of love—a perfect sweet alien romanceI think I just got my very first cavity because Kaida and Cedros are just so。 freaking。 sweet。 This feels reminiscent of Grace Draven’s “Radiance” and Opal Reyne’s “A Soul to Keep”， so if you’re a fan of either of those books you’d probably like this one。Cedros is a touch-starved， socially awkward， endearingly inquisitive， brutally honest， and powerful MMC with a bit of a possessive streak。 He’s a wonderful balance between sweetness and alp Low angst and lots of love—a perfect sweet alien romanceI think I just got my very first cavity because Kaida and Cedros are just so。 freaking。 sweet。 This feels reminiscent of Grace Draven’s “Radiance” and Opal Reyne’s “A Soul to Keep”， so if you’re a fan of either of those books you’d probably like this one。Cedros is a touch-starved， socially awkward， endearingly inquisitive， brutally honest， and powerful MMC with a bit of a possessive streak。 He’s a wonderful balance between sweetness and alpha-ness， where all he wants is to care for his mate but he’s a protector at heart and is not afraid to do what needs to be done。Kaida is also a protector and she does a really good job of trying to be open-minded about their differences and not making him feel bad about their misunderstandings。 I’ve disliked previous FMCs in this series because I thought they were a bit harsh with their mates， but not Kaida。 My one minor complaint for this entire book， however， would just be that I feel like I got a little more depth with Cedros’s character。 I kind of wish Kaida’s character had been explored just a bit more， but ultimately it isn’t bad enough to make me drop a star。Like all of the other books in the PMA series， this was a pretty low-angst and light-hearted read。 The story mostly focuses on Kaida and Cedros learning about each other， each other’s cultures， and how to navigate a relationship with their conflicting beliefs and habits。 And as always， the author does a great job with the world-building of each alien society。 There is a whole smuggling subplot but it’s just that—a subplot。 It does get wrapped up neatly in the end which can be a good or bad thing， depending。 Usually I wouldn’t care for it all just “working out”， but again， it’s not the true focus of the story， the relationship is。 And ultimately， their relationship was just wonderful。 As for the sexy times， this definitely brought the heat （literally， he breathes fire）。 There’s two full-blown open-door sex scenes and one smaller one。 They’re all explicit and thoroughly descriptive。 He’s also an alien so expect the alienness to be a part of it。 Should also mention that Cedros is a virgin。Overall， this was another solid installment of this series and I think it’s my second favorite so far， with I Married a Minotaur just a smidge ahead of this （I’m just a sucker for a grumpy MMC）。 If you’re looking for a sweet， low-stakes romance then this is definitely a book for you。Things to note: sort of fated mates， marriage of convenience， knotting， claim biting 。。。more

Another great book in the Prime Mating Agency series。 Cedros， the Shadow Lord， is powerful， but innocent and shy， and Kaida is as a bad*ss heroine and UPO Enforcer。 They were an excellent balance of strength and sweet， and as with all the stories in the series I loved their journey to love and their HEA。 The new world was awesome and so different from the worlds in the previous books。 And I'm 100% down for cuddles and hugs having healing power。 As if Cedros' and Kaida's love story didn't make my Another great book in the Prime Mating Agency series。 Cedros， the Shadow Lord， is powerful， but innocent and shy， and Kaida is as a bad*ss heroine and UPO Enforcer。 They were an excellent balance of strength and sweet， and as with all the stories in the series I loved their journey to love and their HEA。 The new world was awesome and so different from the worlds in the previous books。 And I'm 100% down for cuddles and hugs having healing power。 As if Cedros' and Kaida's love story didn't make my heart full enough， you also get to meet Kayog's mate/wife in this book and I swear my little Grinch heart grew three sizes when reading their interaction even though it was a tiny part of the book。 。。。more

Ok， where do I find me a Derakeen lord？ I NEED this book to become a series！ It was ten stars worth of romance， exciting intrigue and mystery。 I LOVED the world of Dramnac！ The descriptions were detailed and full。 You become immersed in a world of magic and delightful creatures…you。 Ever want it to end！ I hands down think this is the best book Regine Able ever wrote！ I also loved the artwork of all the characters at the end。 I’m still dreaming of a dragon man that cuddles！

I absolutely loved reading this captivating story of the interactions of Kaida and her Shadow Lord Cedros。 I found the story full of interesting twists and turns and I loved the way they became closer the further the story went and how cuddling helped Cedros stop heading towards madness。 A well written story and a great addition to the series。 This is my honest opinion。
